Poppies is located within a Victorian house, on the edge of Knutsford town just a few minutes’ walk away from both the Heath and Tatton Park and benefits from a large garden, with artificial safety-grass, separate baby area and a covered area for all-weather play.

The child-led active learning environment stimulates little imaginations. With an abundance of adventures and experiences including music, dance, art, design, cooking, sport and imaginative play, every child can learn naturally through enjoyment, play and socialising with others.

Poppies has a qualified team including an early years teacher who has developed a curriculum following the EYFS framework, this ensures that all learning is fun, rewarding and effective.

Children are individually supported to reach their full potential, with activities tailored to their stage and learning style, nurturing confidence and happiness. They use the Tapestry app which keeps parents up to date with their child’s day-to-day activities, achievements and the nursery menus.

All the nursery food is checked and approved by a registered dietitian and is sourced as locally as possible. Children are encouraged to try new and exciting flavours and a variety of meals.

My daughter has attended poppies for around 1 ½ years (she has recently turned 2) and in that time she has really developed and a lot of what she has learnt in that time is down to the excellent learning opportunities at Poppies. She will often come home singing a song we have never sung at home and
chatting the about people she knows at the nursery. The staff are all so lovely and I feel like she really enjoys her time at Poppies. It comes across that the staff really care about the children there and as a parent it makes me feel so much more comfortable leaving there to go to work knowing she is well looked after. The only suggestion I would have is that we can access their review books online and review their progress as it happens. It would also be good to have access to upcoming events etc. online. At the moment this just seems to be done using posters throughout the building which could be missed. Basically, more focus on communication through the website would be great!

Poppies is a very welcoming and supportive nursery. The staff are really experienced and I feel my child is being looked after to the highest possible standard when not in my care. It's a shame the rooms are not slightly bigger for the children to play.

We are very happy with Poppies Day Nursery, our daughter has been coming here since she was 7 months old and really enjoys it, she has good relationships with the staff and I am happy with her progress in nursery. Have recommended to others looking for a nursery on a few occasions.

Poppies Day Nursery is a warm inviting nursery. My children have all felt happy, safe and secure here. It has a very homely feel which instantly puts you at ease. The staff are excellent! I don't have a bad word to say about the nursery.

I am very pleased with how my daughter has settled here. After being at a larger nursery that had its benefits I was apprehensive of sending her here, she struggled to settle in her first room but now she has moved up she loves it. I am over the moon with how she has progressed in the rainbow room.
All the staff are so lovely. I feel very content leaving her with you and know she feels safe and loved by her room staff and trust they would ring me straight away if there was a problem.

Poppies Day Nursery is a lovely nursery! My son settled very well in the warm and friendly environment Poppies provides. He loves going to "school". We are very happy with everything they offer-learning, outside play, music, fab food, caring staff and lovely space. :)

Our son loves his time at Poppies. It is a very warm and welcoming environment where he enjoys a fabulous variety of activities plus nourishing food. He gets comforted when he needs it, support and has a lot of fun with his friends!
