Poppies Day Nursery

Our daughter has been at Poppies for 11 months and we are very happy. She has developed really well and the socialisation is great for her. Communication and support from Poppies have been excellent and the staff are wonderful.

Poppies has provided a great learning environment for my daughter. All of the staff are very caring and we know that she is well looked after. She loves spending her time there and has come on loads since starting around 6 months ago.

We moved to Knutsford last year and just couldn’t find the right nursery for our daughter. We saw lots of nurseries where the staff didn’t even smile at us. When I looked around Poppies I knew instantly this was the nursery for us. Every staff member was really welcoming and smiled. They were all able to offer information about their room and how that would positively impact our child. Our child is in pre-school and they have a teacher that teaches maths and English, they have forest school, they have amazing facilities and communication. I wholeheartedly feel that they have my daughter's and the children’s best interests. This is a home-from-home environment and I feel confident and comfortable that my daughter is in the best possible hands. Thank you Poppies we love you.

I have had two children attend Poppies Day Nursery (one now at school) and the care both have received has been excellent. Both children have thrived there in regard to their developmental and social skills. The staff obviously love what they do and genuinely care. My eldest settled well in Poppies after moving from another setting and though she is the youngest in her school class, Poppies pre-school prepared my eldest for school and I was confident she’d do well (and did). My son has also loved being there and they have supported his eating journey from day one - his speech and number recognition are beyond what I could expect at his age so I’m extremely pleased. I haven’t always agreed with protocols for certain situations and as it’s a small nursery found flexibility for extra hours to be slightly frustrating but on the whole, I would definitely recommend Poppies and am prepared to travel a little further as my youngest has settled so well there.

Absolutely amazing nursery! Our daughter has attended for just under a year and she has developed so much and come out of her shell thanks to the incredible staff. Every single staff member is lovely and kind. Our daughter actually screams with excitement when we get to the front of school and always has a huge smile in her face when we pick her up. They have a great outdoor space and are a short walk to a large field and a National Park so they get to go exploring often. The food always looks nice and it's always reported that she's eaten all of her meals/snacks and sometimes has seconds so it must be good! I could not be happier and we are so incredibly glad we found Poppies and grateful to the beautiful-hearted staff that are there!

Our 2.5 year old son has been at Poppies Day Nursery for a few months now and loves it. He previously attended another one of the group’s nurseries in Hale, which was fantastic; but when we moved house, we joined another highly rated country nursery in the area. This other nursery didn’t come close to the high standards we had become used to with the Elmscott group, so we swiftly moved across to Poppies. The staff at Poppies really seem to care about the children and their development and create a close family feel. They are clearly excellent at what they do, and we feel 100% comfortable leaving our son there 4 days per week. Whilst this sounds trivial, we couldn’t say the same for the other local nursery we tried. We are thrilled with our choice, and most importantly our son is settled, comfortable, and very happy. I think he likes his key workers more than us now! Thank-you and keep up the good work!

Our daughter started Poppies Day Nursery in January. She has settled brilliantly. The staff have been fantastic from day one which has shown in the way she has settled and formed relationships with all the staff. There is consistency and structure which was really important to us when looking for a nursery to take care of our daughter.

My daughter started at Poppies Day Nursery when she was 11-months old and we were really happy with how quickly she settled in. She really seems to enjoy nursery and does lots of activities. We receive regular updates and photos, which is great. The staff all have a lovely manner with the children.

Poppies is a great nursery. My daughter has settled in so easily and the process was thorough, informative, and easy. My daughter has had excellent relationships with her two key workers and the activities she undertakes at Poppies are challenging, fun, and engaging. I know when I pick her up that she will have had a great day. Staff meet you at the door with a smile, fill you in with what they have done, eaten, and everything else you need to know, they never rush the end of day handover. They go above and beyond to support the stages of your child’s development and make sure children spend as much time as possible outdoors exploring nature. I go to work not worrying at all.

Our little boy loves his time at Poppies Day Nursery. The staff are friendly, the food is great and the outside space has just been renovated and is lovely. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. He has been there since he was 6-months old and continues to enjoy it.

Our son joined Poppies Day Nursery in December last year and It's been wonderful to see how he has developed and grown since he started Poppies. He thoroughly enjoys it and can't wait in the morning to leave the house and get going. All in all a great nursery with fantastic staff!

Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He loves outdoor play and exploration which they promote. We are always kept up to date with his development and the staff are wonderful, friendly and caring.

We have two daughters at Poppies, and have experienced all the rooms available from the baby room to pre-school. We have always been extremely happy with our choice to send them here. Both of our girls absolutely love it!

The staff are so creative and come up with some wonderful ideas. They really engage with the children's individual interests and support their development. We have been impressed at the range of activities they get to take part in and love seeing all the pictures on the regular updates. Our eldest daughter has particularly loved attending forest school.

They have created some great spaces and the current development of the garden looks brilliant. It's a very caring and fun environment, with professional staff who are genuinely dedicated to their roles. We feel confident our daughters are happy, safe and well looked after.

I was worried how my daughter at 2 would settle when I started back at work full time but she absolutely loves it and even asks to go at weekends. The staff are amazing and you can see how much they really care for the children. It feels like you are leaving your little one with your family. Thank you all at Poppies Day Nursery.

I like they do activities like forest school, or simply they go for a walk in Knutsford. I would certainly recommend this nursery.

I have only had great experiences with Poppies Day Nursery and would highly recommend it. My child started there about a year ago and the staff were really helpful when settling him into his new nursery. We were at another nursery before this and the difference we have seen between the two is huge. Poppies are so caring, everyone makes the effort to speak to you and update you on things, the nursery environment is fantastic with so many things to do for the children and the food menu has so many different types of food.

The staff also take the kids out on local trips and have involved the parents as much as possible through Covid restrictions. Finding a nursery is not an easy process and my child was very clingy and did not like the change at first, but Poppies really helped us through this process and would call me with updates in case I was feeling worried or nervous, but there was no need to ever worry as now he runs in happier than ever!

If my daughter was to review Poppies I am sure that she would give it a big smile and a clap. She excitedly leaves my arms on a morning as she is handed over to her key worker. When picked up on an afternoon she is always full of smiles and babbles away to me on the way home as she tells me about her day. To see my daughter so happy is enough for me to give Poppies a stellar review.

I have two daughters attending since they turned 12 months old. My eldest is now 4 and attending the preschool while my youngest is 18 months. They both settled in amazingly well and are excited to go in each day to see their friends and key workers and take part in all the activities. Forest school has been a particular hit. The staff at Poppies are lovely and professional. They have always tried to accommodate any changes in our schedules which has been very helpful. I would recommend Poppies nursery to everyone.

My daughter absolutely loves Poppies Day Nursery and the staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate us with her specific needs and also with specific days that are needed for her to be in nursery.

Poppies staff are so dedicated to the babies and children and do amazing activities with them which are wide-ranging. We love that our daughter's key worker went above and beyond to do something for Diwali and celebrate our culture - such a lovely touch. The opening hours work perfectly for us around work too - at 7.30 am there is always a smiling staff member to collect our daughter!

Our first child has been attending Poppies since he was 18 months old and he is now 4 and is in the pre-school class. Our second child has attended since he was 16 months old and he is now 2. Both our boys absolutely love Poppies and have done since day one. The staff are fantastic and both boys have formed a lovely bond with particular members of staff as well as friendships with other children. Poppies provide a good variety of activities for the children to include messy and sensory play along with more educational activities. Most recently the pre-school children have been learning about road safety. We get weekly updates on what the children have been doing that week as well as regular individual updates specific to our children and how they are getting on. I would not hesitate to recommend Poppies. I know our first child will be upset to leave next year when he starts reception!
