Poppies is located within a Victorian house, on the edge of Knutsford town just a few minutes’ walk away from both the Heath and Tatton Park and benefits from a large garden, with artificial safety-grass, separate baby area and a covered area for all-weather play.

The child-led active learning environment stimulates little imaginations. With an abundance of adventures and experiences including music, dance, art, design, cooking, sport and imaginative play, every child can learn naturally through enjoyment, play and socialising with others.

Poppies has a qualified team including an early years teacher who has developed a curriculum following the EYFS framework, this ensures that all learning is fun, rewarding and effective.

Children are individually supported to reach their full potential, with activities tailored to their stage and learning style, nurturing confidence and happiness. They use the Tapestry app which keeps parents up to date with their child’s day-to-day activities, achievements and the nursery menus.

All the nursery food is checked and approved by a registered dietitian and is sourced as locally as possible. Children are encouraged to try new and exciting flavours and a variety of meals.

My child has attended nursery for over two years. The staff are extremely friendly and all know the children by name and know the children’s personalities and interests. It has a real community and a homely feel. My child is currently in pre-school and talks positively about the learning experiences
she has and I am kept updated on her progress each week through the app as well as daily at hand over.

Very pleased with the nursery. Both my boys have attended and are always happy to go. They enjoyed all the activities and we have been extremely happy with the care provided. Nothing is ever too much and my boys made great friends.

My son settled into Poppies very quickly and has been very happy there. He is engaged, enthusiastic and has learnt a lot in his time there. The staff are warm and friendly and provide me with regular updates on my son’s progress. I’m really happy about sending him there.

Our daughter has been going to Poppies since she was 13 months, she is now 3 years old. It is so reassuring to see how excited she gets when she knows she’s in nursery that day! We pick her up and she can’t wait to tell us who she has played with, what they did and how much she loves her friends and
her key workers! She learns new and exciting things each day and amazes us with what she has been taught by the nursery. We highly recommend Poppies’s for its homely nature, nutritional meals and the wonderful team who really put the children first! I must add that my son also went to Poppies, he is now 6 and often speaks fondly of what he can remember. We can’t thank you enough for what you have done with both our children’s development.

Poppies is such a lovely nursery; it really has a wonderful homely feel and the staff are all so caring and have been fantastic with my daughter. It's been hard this year not being allowed into the building because of social distancing, but we have been sent pictures of the refurbished rooms and get
regular updates as to what the children have been getting up to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

We’ve had two children attend Poppies with another coming soon. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone who asks. The building has lots of well-designed space which allows children all of the space they need. The outdoor spaces are well used and brilliant for all ages. The range and
depth of activities are getting better all of the time, and initiatives such as road safety week where the kids bring their scooters/bikes in and are taught good road safety was fantastic. I’ve been particularly impressed with some specific staff such as one lady in preschool who has bonded so well with our child and has really helped him develop over the last few months in particular.

My son has been at Poppies since he was one. From all the help to settle him in during the initial couple of months, to now preparing him for primary school in September, I can't fault the team at Poppies. It's a warm, welcoming place with a 'family feel'. The staff are genuinely engaged in the development
of the children and making sure they are happy and secure while learning and becoming more independent.

I would highly recommend Poppies to anyone! Our daughter has grown massively in confidence since starting there. Prior to Poppies, she was with a childminder, so I was worried she wouldn’t settle, but she settled straight in and absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing, so lovely and helpful.

Poppies are absolutely fantastic. My little boy joined in July just after lockdown No1 ended. We were nervous about him joining as he was 10-months-old and had not spent time with many other babies or adults due to lockdown. Poppies were amazing when he joined and were in touch throughout the day and
in the following days to provide updates.
Our little boy loves going and smiles at his primary carer when he sees her and other members of the team. We get regular pictures and can clearly see he is having a lovely time and is enjoying the variety of activities the team organise. We also get updates on his development and how he is progressing, which is fantastic.
All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Poppies, it is a home away from home and provides our little boy with fantastic opportunities to develop, learn, play and build relationships with very caring adults.

Our daughter has been at Poppies since turning one and absolutely loves it. She has plenty of time outdoors, the outdoor play area is a great size with lots to do, and she gets involved in a range of activities - baking bread, messy play, crafts. The staff have been so encouraging and caring, she settled
so well and now gets her bag and coat to head there in the mornings. Her routine and all her needs are met and surpassed, and we have a great relationship with her key worker and all the staff. Well done Poppies, we have already recommended to other parents.

We enjoy going to nursery.
Staff are always friendly.
My daughter learns a lot.
I notice new words and songs she is bringing home.
She is bilingual. Having educational time at the nursery definitely helps.

What a fantastic nursery. After being in lockdown and my 7-month-old was only used to seeing myself and her daddy for the past 3 months we were extremely nervous about our little girl going to nursery. Poppies nursery have been great with us and our little girl. First and lasting impressions are clean,
sensory/learning activities and nutritional menu. We had been to view numerous nurseries before we went to Poppies and the biggest difference was not a jumperoo or ball pit in sight which was a huge selling point for us knowing she would not be put to one side.
On her first day, I was a nervous wreck and the team in the sunshine room sensed my feelings and rang me and kept me up to date throughout the day. My little girl is coming on so much and is always happy. We can not thank Poppies enough for all they are doing for our daughter's development. Would highly recommend!

Poppies Day Nursery have really welcomed my daughter and made her feel safe during her time at nursery. She loves her key workers and enjoys the time she spends there.
The updates and photos could be more frequent but I do receive daily updates re: activities, food etc.
All in all, a lovely friendly
nursery.

Our two sons currently attend Poppies and both love it. They can't wait to get out of the car and start their day. The staff are highly professional and offer a caring environment in which the children are nurtured. As my eldest has attended for three and a half years I have seen his development flourish
