Poppies Day Nursery

My child has attended nursery for over two years. The staff are extremely friendly and all know the children by name and know the children’s personalities and interests. It has a real community and a homely feel. My child is currently in pre-school and talks positively about the learning experiences she has and I am kept updated on her progress each week through the app as well as daily at hand over.

Very pleased with the nursery. Both my boys have attended and are always happy to go. They enjoyed all the activities and we have been extremely happy with the care provided. Nothing is ever too much and my boys made great friends.

My son settled into Poppies very quickly and has been very happy there. He is engaged, enthusiastic and has learnt a lot in his time there. The staff are warm and friendly and provide me with regular updates on my son’s progress. I’m really happy about sending him there.

Our daughter has been going to Poppies since she was 13 months, she is now 3 years old. It is so reassuring to see how excited she gets when she knows she’s in nursery that day! We pick her up and she can’t wait to tell us who she has played with, what they did and how much she loves her friends and her key workers! She learns new and exciting things each day and amazes us with what she has been taught by the nursery. We highly recommend Poppies’s for its homely nature, nutritional meals and the wonderful team who really put the children first! I must add that my son also went to Poppies, he is now 6 and often speaks fondly of what he can remember. We can’t thank you enough for what you have done with both our children’s development.

Poppies is such a lovely nursery; it really has a wonderful homely feel and the staff are all so caring and have been fantastic with my daughter. It's been hard this year not being allowed into the building because of social distancing, but we have been sent pictures of the refurbished rooms and get regular updates as to what the children have been getting up to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

We’ve had two children attend Poppies with another coming soon. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone who asks. The building has lots of well-designed space which allows children all of the space they need. The outdoor spaces are well used and brilliant for all ages. The range and depth of activities are getting better all of the time, and initiatives such as road safety week where the kids bring their scooters/bikes in and are taught good road safety was fantastic. I’ve been particularly impressed with some specific staff such as one lady in preschool who has bonded so well with our child and has really helped him develop over the last few months in particular.

My son has been at Poppies since he was one. From all the help to settle him in during the initial couple of months, to now preparing him for primary school in September, I can't fault the team at Poppies. It's a warm, welcoming place with a 'family feel'. The staff are genuinely engaged in the development of the children and making sure they are happy and secure while learning and becoming more independent.

I would highly recommend Poppies to anyone! Our daughter has grown massively in confidence since starting there. Prior to Poppies, she was with a childminder, so I was worried she wouldn’t settle, but she settled straight in and absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing, so lovely and helpful.

We had previously sent our son, who had a great experience too. I would highly recommend Poppies’s to people as it has a great family feel with caring staff.

My little 1-year-old boy started at Poppies when he was 8-months-old. He has settled in so well and gone from begin a very clingy lockdown baby to a very excited, smiley happy baby who waves at his keyworker excitedly upon drop off. I feel so happy and minimum 'mum guilt' leaving him for the day at Poppies knowing he is going to have a lovely day!

All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Poppies, it is a home away from home and provides our little boy with fantastic opportunities to develop, learn, play and build relationships with very caring adults.

Our daughter has been at Poppies since turning one and absolutely loves it. She has plenty of time outdoors, the outdoor play area is a great size with lots to do, and she gets involved in a range of activities - baking bread, messy play, crafts. The staff have been so encouraging and caring, she settled so well and now gets her bag and coat to head there in the mornings. Her routine and all her needs are met and surpassed, and we have a great relationship with her key worker and all the staff. Well done Poppies, we have already recommended to other parents.

She is bilingual. Having educational time at the nursery definitely helps.

On her first day, I was a nervous wreck and the team in the sunshine room sensed my feelings and rang me and kept me up to date throughout the day. My little girl is coming on so much and is always happy. We can not thank Poppies enough for all they are doing for our daughter's development. Would highly recommend!

Poppies is a lovely, happy place where my daughter has thoroughly enjoyed for the past 2 years. The staff are attentive and friendly and always provide feedback from the day's activities. I would highly recommend Poppies to anybody and will definitely be sending my next child there.

I have recommended Poppies to family and friends as an exceptional nursery with a home-from-home feel. All 3 of our children have now attended Poppies and we couldn't be happier with the friendly staff and their commitment to the health and well being of our children.
