Partou Willowdene Day Nursery & Pre-school is a caring, happy nursery in Widnes for babies and children aged up to five years. The nursery has been caring for the children since 1995 and has an excellent reputation in Widnes.

Children at Willowdene can play in a safe and secure outdoor area, whatever the weather, and go on regular adventures to Victoria Park, which is directly opposite the nursery. The friendly, experienced and qualified staff provide children with fun learning activities planned around their individual likes and interests. These cover all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Children are provided with delicious, nutritionally-balanced meals and snacks, freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen every day.

Willowdene’s kind, caring staff hold safeguarding training and paediatric first aid certificates and all team members undergo enhanced DBS checks.

The nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems to provide added security for its little ones.

Both my little girls have been to the nursery from the age of 6 months. My oldest is 7 and youngest is almost 3 and attends 2 days a week. Both girls have been extremely happy and have been brought on brilliantly by the hard working and friendly staff. I do not have one bad thing to say and would highly
recommend the nursery. Thanks for everything

Willowdene is an excellent nursery. They offer great care to my little boy, he comes home having learnt something new each time he is in.
They ensure he is looked after well, using his manners and have helped me to teach him great social skills.
He thoroughly enjoys singing and playing with his friends.
They
have been a great help also assisting me in getting him successfully toilet trained.
Highly recommend Willowdene!

When we came to look at this nursery the manager was very friendly and approachable, she took her time showing us around, and our daughter got to have a little taster session, the staff were great and were very welcoming.
Our daughter settled very quickly and seems very happy there, the staff are great
and always give a detailed account of what she has done that day, and are always happy to answer any questions we may have.
Since the refurb, the nursery looks more presentable and has given the children more space. I would recommend this nursery to anyone wanting to send a child there.

My son has been at Willowdene for 3 years. When he started he was shy and clingy. My son has grown with the staff and children at Willowdene. He is now 4 and his speech has come on, he is an outgoing and friendly boy. The staff at Willowdene are friendly, always approachable and helped my son learn
and grow. There are always plenty of activities for the children to take part in, eg; making cards, number games, storytime etc. These all help with learning. I can't thank the staff enough for everything in the last 3 years. I know my son loves to go every day and always comes home with a smile and a story to tell about what he has learnt, so thank you.

My daughter really values her time at preschool and has many friends. I consider this is largely due to the excellent staff who give the children space to learn and develop whilst maintaining a positive and firm approach to discipline. In addition, the general physical improvements to the nursery, especially
with increased security and gates, provides me with confidence that child safety is an overriding priority.

My son has attended this nursery since 2015, he is due to start school in September and I know he will miss this nursery very much.
He has made so much progress here and he loves it, along with all the friends he has made.
The teachers and staff are superb, I could not recommend this nursery enough
to anyone.

Our son has been attending the nursery since 2013 and has thoroughly enjoyed his time there. The key reason is due to the excellence of the staff who really care about the children and who are always trying to ensure the children's experience is a joyful one. The range of activities which the children
undertake throughout all age ranges is impressive and this variety helps ensure the children are kept interested and happy.The recent refurbishment of many of the rooms at the nursery has also been welcomed and contributes to the happy environment. Finally, the food (and variety) focuses on healthy eating and the kids seem to love it, whilst also learning about a balanced diet.

Both my children loved Willowdene. The staff are fantastic, kind and caring. The activities they do with the children are great, such as making cards, painting etc. Another great strength of the nursery is it's very flexible, if you need to do extra days it's never a problem. I would highly recommend.

My son has been going to this nursery for 3 months and he loves it. I've seen a massive change in my son daily, he has come on so much, he's learning new things every day that he then comes home to show us, the staff are lovely to talk to and always on board if you have any concerns! Always welcomed
at the nusery, everyone makes you feel at home. Also seen a big improvement in his eating and interest in eating more healthy options.

Clean, well-organised nursery. Staff are exceptionally pleasant and welcoming and always make the children feel special. Accommodating for all children's needs and feedback is regular. Activities are varied and my child often brings things home for mummy and daddy that he has made during the day. Play

The staff at Willowdene have been great at helping my baby settle in. As a breastfeeding mother, I worried how my baby would cope without a feed from the breast. The girls were gentle and loving, cuddling him to sleep when he became upset.
They quickly got to know my son and what made him happy. If
in doubt about anything they never hesitate to call me. Willowdene has a really family feel about it. My boy loves going and has come on so much since he started.

My twins are very settled and happy here. They seem to have formed attachments to several members of the nursery staff and their confidence has grown in leaps and bounds since starting to attend here.
The staff are friendly, happy to chat about how the children are doing and progressing and keen to
share stories about their day. The also treat both children as individuals rather than as one of a pair. My little boy has food intolerances and the staff have worked closely with me to manage this, both in terms of avoiding dairy and soya containing foods and in managing a gradual reintroduction of these food items.
The only criticism I have is that there are often delays in receiving the invoice and I have had to send it back on several occasions due to errors.

Our little girl has been there since aged one. The introduction days were excellent and now at age nearly two she has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are friendly and helpful and the meals are excellent. No fuss with childcare vouchers and good value for money.
