Holyrood Warrington is one of several nurseries owned and operated by Thrive Childcare & Education. Located in Grappenhall, Warrington, the nursery prides itself on providing outstanding care for the children and families that use the setting.

The nursery consists of four well-proportioned rooms and provides care for children aged 3 months to 4 years and 11 months, based on their age and stage of development. The nursery also benefits from an outdoor learning space, which is available to all age groups.

Parent partnerships are a vital part of nursery life and this is promoted from the day you come to look at the nursery. The team works closely with parents to ensure that all of the children’s individual needs are catered for.

Caring and professional practitioners offer a wide range of learning activities tailored to each child’s interests, as well as linking learning to their experiences at home.

Children’s meals are made fresh on site each day ensuring a healthy balanced diet, all prepared in line with recommended nutrition and portion size guidelines.

The nursery is located in a residential area close to Warrington town centre and within easy access to the M56 and M6 motorways, providing routes to Manchester and Birmingham.

From my son starting in the baby room to now in preschool, I cannot recommend highly enough all the staff in each of the rooms he has been in.
With the variety of learning, games they play and the activities they do, no two days are the same and always fun. The staff listen to your wishes for the children
but also are always encouraging them to do more. My son loves coming to school everyday which is a credit to everyone associated with the nursery.

Myself and my partner are really pleased with this nursery. We’re term time only but the nursery are really flexible with me adding additional dates when needed.
The team that work there are really friendly and take a real personal interest in my son, inside and outside of the nursery... and for a
mother, that’s all I want!
Our key workers have always been really informative on his learning too.
My son loves going in... more so now he’s a little older as he can play with other children now and communicate with staff. There are more activities that keep him engaged now he’s older too.

My son was two years old when I was due to give birth to his sister, after speaking with the health visitor, she suggested he started nursery to help with his separation anxiety and development. After looking around the nurseries in the area, I chose The Quays, they were amazing at settling him in and
welcoming him into their family. My daughter now attends and I can go to work knowing they are both cared for and happy! We really feel the staff know and love our children.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My little boy has settled in so well and loves his time at nursery. When returning to work following maternity, I was worried and apprehensive about leaving him but I needn't have worried. He took to the place straight away and that's all down to the brilliant
supportive staff. There is never a dull moment at nursery and I love hearing about the fun he has got up to throughout the day and particularly enjoy all the paintings and keepsakes he has made us, our fridge has never looked so good! The girls use a variety of imaginative play and sensory activities to promote engagement and learning and I couldn't be more pleased with the progress he's made as he's come on leaps and bounds. The nursery is welcoming and has a buzz about it and you're always welcomed with a smile, the girls go above and beyond their roles regularly. My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 18 months old. She’s now three and has loved every single minute spent here. The nursery has a lovely, homely atmosphere and I knew instantly that it was the nursery for us. I’ve always felt completely comfortable leaving my daughter here and
she’s always happy to be left! Always a good sign! The only times I’ve seen her disappointed is when I’ve arrived to collect her and she’s told me that I’m ruining her playtime! When I collect her I’m always informed about all the fun activities she’s undertaken and what delicious food she’s eaten. I honestly believe she eats better than me when at nursery! The staff are all so friendly and approachable from the room staff, to the management, the chef and the cleaner. My daughter has loved them all over the last two years. She’s even named some of her teddy’s after certain staff! My youngest daughter will certainly attend this nursery when she’s ready. I’d recommend The Quays to anybody!

A home from home for my little girl. It may not be the biggest nursery in the area but size is not everything!
The staff and management make use of every single bit of space in every room creating fantastic learning opportunities throughout.
The nursery is never just ticking along there is literally
something going on all the time to involve parents, grandparents and siblings.
I love the tapestry system they use, it’s simple for us to use and add to, but the best thing is receiving an email when at work. Seeing a picture of your child doing something amazing really does make leaving them in the nursery a bit easier.

Our children have recently started at the nursery and they are really enjoying it so far. So pleased we chose this nursery for our daughter. Looked at few in the area but knew from the moment I looked online, and then called to speak with them it was the nursery for us. My daughter has settled in amazingly in her class and the staff are brilliant. I see the things she does daily and knows

My son has been going to The Quays full time since he was 9 months old and he absolutely loves it. I'm so proud of how much he has come on and that is all thanks to the staff. They always go that extra mile and he has so much fun and has learnt so much. I was so worried when I went back to work and
he started nursery but the staff were amazing and helped not only him settle but were amazing with helping me adjust too. The food is brilliant and that's thanks to the Chef who also goes that extra mile with the children too. My son loves giving him a high five in the morning! Nothing is ever too much trouble and I can honestly say I made the best decision sending my son to The Quays Day Nursery.

All three of my children have attended this fantastic nursery. My daughter has been in for two months now and has settled amazingly well, this is solely down to the nursery staff going above and beyond to ensure that she is happy and confident. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. They deserve

From the moment I viewed this nursery, I knew straight away. It had a lovely sense of homeliness. My son and my daughter have both attended The Quays and loved every minute. All the staff are completely supportive and friendly and genuinely love all the children. The Quays have helped my children's
progress so much in a lot of ways.

Fantastic nursery that appears to have done everything they can to help my child, my husband and I. My son seems to love going to nursery and has made fantastic relationships with his key worker and the other staff there. I feel comfortable approaching the staff about any issues I may have and I am
always supported and reassured very quickly.
My son seems to have come on massively since starting at The Quays and I do believe that it is because he is so happy playing and learning with the other children and well educated staff.

I have over 20 years of experience working with children in a variety of roles with my most recent role being the Nursery Manager of a local Outstanding nursery.


I am already building strong relationships with our families and staff and already feeling a part of The Mere Family.


As a mum to a young family, I have a good understanding of juggling family life with a career as many of our families do.
