Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery

I couldn’t ask for more from a nursery setting for my little boy. The setting, the staff, the activities, the food, the care is all absolutely second to none. My boy comes away full of beans telling me about his day, has always eaten really well, talks about the staff with the same admiration that he does family, and the way that they prepare kids for the next stages, be that moving up a room or starting the preparations for moving to primary school are brilliant. I could not be happier with Apples & Pears!

We get regular updates on his progress, he gets to see animals every day and is constantly outside having a fabulous time. They do lots of varied activities and the facilities are fantastic.

I would highly recommend the nursery to any of my friends, family or colleagues and if I were to have another child I would not hesitate to bring them here.

Overall good nursery. Few minor issues that have always been sorted. I would like to see more on the app though. I would definitely recommend it through good experiences. Always doing a range of activities which is always brilliant. The management are always helpful and the reception staff are always very welcoming and friendly.

I used this nursery for my now 9-year-old who excelled whilst there, so when it came to my next child needing childcare we couldn’t think of a better place to send her. She was quite shy and not very confident in new situations but she has settled amazingly at Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery and is continuing to grow in confidence, the staff are amazing with her, it’s such a friendly, relaxed environment and I can see the development my daughter has made since being there. I haven’t had any issues with the nursery, I’ve always been happy with the service they provide but I know if I did have a problem all the staff are approachable. I would recommend Apples & Pears to anyone looking for childcare.

Couldn’t recommend more highly! The setting is spotless and clean, the rooms are spacious and well laid out, the staff are incredible and the management team work through any problems patiently and don’t stop until everyone is happy.

We have been so impressed with the nursery. We love that there is so much outdoor space and all of the activities for the children. The team in Andy Apples are fantastic and have really helped our daughter grow in her confidence, speech, and potty training. We feel that sometimes the snacks and puddings could be healthier. We really appreciated the review that we had with the staff and found the feedback useful. We would and do recommend the nursery to other families.

We couldn’t be happier with Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery, our daughter loves going there. They offer a very safe and fun environment with educational settings and life skill development. They encourage our daughter to be herself and allow her to grow and develop. Every staff member is friendly and kind and they make an effort to know your children, it is lovely to see how our daughter knows the other staff members. It is a very clean and well looked after nursery with superb outside space. The staff are very good with each of the children and keep us updated throughout the day with what crafts they have been doing, what they have been playing and their educational times. The staff attend regular training sessions and are very knowledgeable about development and child care, as well as nutrition. We would not even hesitate to recommend this nursery, the staff and the outstanding setting to anybody. Thank you for having our daughter and for everything you do for her, we are extremely grateful.

Our little boy joined the nursery in January, he’s one year old. To begin with, we were super nervous as he did attend another nursery which turned out to be awful! I literally thought I’d never be able to trust any nursery again but Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery are just amazing, two members of staff who I met first, were so reassuring! As drop-offs were very difficult when you’ve had a bad experience, it’s awful but nothing was too much. Their honesty and respect were just amazing, he was upset during the first couple of visits. Now he walks in excited and confident. From day one I haven’t had a single issue. All the staff are very caring, friendly and patient and know what they're doing. They were able to give him the attention he needed, as well as the other lovely young children in their care. Even though it took time for him to get used to another nursery, they helped to reassure me and also my son so that he could learn and have fun. We're all very happy and grateful to the staff for looking after our boy.

Our daughter joined Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery in January of this year and we have been overwhelmed by the standard of care and provision at the setting. She has had a fantastic start to her nursery journey which has been down to a fantastic key worker and all of the staff in the Polly Pears team. The whole experience for both us and our daughter has been massively positive and we have a very happy little girl arriving at and leaving the nursery, she is full of beans! There has been a huge shift in her development, we have noticed her coming on in leaps and bounds since joining and the staff celebrate every milestone with you. The quality, variety and outcomes of activities are great and we love the regular communication via the app. We appreciate how every member of staff greets you and how they are interested in you and your family, even if they don’t directly look after your child. There is a true sense of togetherness!

After looking at lots of different nurseries, I’m so glad I found Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery after it was recommended to me by two others. The staff are all so lovely and friendly. My son seems to love it and they are always doing lots of activities which is great.

Car park overcrowding on the mid-week days is becoming dangerous.

Our daughter has loved attending Andy Apples and now Peaches 1. We have found the nursery to be very accommodating in offering ad-hoc sessions but still treating our daughter as a regular attendee. The new building is wonderful and the outside space and setting are what attracted us to the nursery.

Our daughter really enjoys going to Apples & Pears and has a good relationship with the staff who look after her. Since the new building has opened she has particularly enjoyed the outdoor space being so easily accessible and makes full use of it whenever she can!

My baby girl had never been left with anyone until she had to go to nursery. She started at 12 months old. I was so nervous about leaving her however my nerves were soon put to ease. The women in sandy strawberries are great. Her key worker made it extra easier for me and my daughter, always updating the app and making sure my daughter was okay. The first few drop-offs were hard but soon my daughter was putting her hands out to the staff, which made me so happy. She absolutely loves going to nursery.

My son attends Peaches Preschool currently, and we've been so fortunate that he has enjoyed the past couple of years at Apples & Pears. The nursery staff feel like an extension of our own family, as it is very clear that they always have the children at the heart of everything they do. During the past very challenging year, the nursery have had to make some very difficult decisions regarding the care of the children, but have been fantastic in communicating to parents and providing constant support for the children throughout. Staff have consistently kept their high standards of education for the children and specifically have helped the children understand the importance of hygiene. They have carefully and sensitively helped the children understand the changes in the world around them, underpinning everything with fun! As a parent, I have been so impressed by the team at this nursery; they have been absolutely wonderful in these unprecedented times.

Extremely happy with our choice of Apples & Pears after three years of care for our children. The staff are excellent, very caring, capable, friendly, always thinking of new ideas to keep the children entertained and exploring new things. We love the outdoor setting and the opportunities the children have to enjoy the surroundings as much as possible.

From the moment our daughter started at Apples & Pears over three years ago, we knew she was in safe hands and she would be cared for and nurtured in the most comfortable environment. The staff at the nursery are absolutely amazing and without their support and encouragement, we don't think our daughter would be the person she is today. Activities at each stage are fun as well as educational and are tailored to the age and ability of the children. We love it here as much as she does!

We viewed a number of local nurseries for our daughter but none compared to Apples & Pears, the standards and professionalism was visibly higher, not to mention the location and unique surrounding which we knew she would benefit from. From day one we knew we’d made the right choice, she loves going to nursery and has a fantastic relationship with the staff. We’re continually impressed with the care she receives and the progress she is making.
