Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery

From the minute we were shown around Apples & Pears, we knew it was the right place for our daughter. The facilities (inside and outside) are fantastic and the staff are just wonderful. I would highly recommend to any other parent looking for a nursery - we have been so impressed.

Apples & Pears is a fantastic setting for our daughter. There is tons of space inside and out and plenty of activities every day. The food menu is very good every day and she is always tired and happy when we pick her up. Would 100% recommend.

We are extremely happy with our choice of nursery for our daughter and we have seen a great improvement in her overall development and social skills. Our daughter loves nursery and we have never had to worry about dropping her off and leaving her. All staff are amazing and the tapestry system works well. We would and do recommend Apples & Pears to family and friends.

My two-year-old is always happy to go to nursery. She has a fantastic time and is always talking about her friends and the nursery workers. We are kept well informed with what she has been up to and how she is developing and progressing.

My daughter, whilst takes some time to settle, loves the nursery and playing with her friends. I have found the staff and management very responsive to concerns raised and action is taken very efficiently. I have seen lots of positive changes this month in relation to resources, activities and display boards. The staff really care and this shows.

We love this nursery and our daughter has been very happy here over the last 8 months, starting in the baby room Sandy Strawberry and now moving on to Polly Pears. All the staff are brilliant, very welcoming and professional. They work hard to find activities our little girl enjoys and they adapt learning activities to suit her interests. The meals are excellent and varied and the children are encouraged to try different foods and to sit nicely together at mealtimes. A massive bonus for us is the nursery is very proactive using Tapestry where they upload videos and pictures of our little girl which I can view throughout the day! Highly recommended!

Thoughtful, caring and peaceful environment dedicated to your child's development. They build confidence with the children and they learn to integrate and communicate rapidly. The emphasis is on their comfort and growing them both with learning and emotionally. Very friendly staff.

My eldest son attended Apples and Pears from 5 months old right up to starting school (now attends the banana club and loves that too!) and now our second son is in baby room. Not only has standard of care for both been exceptional but I’m also very impressed by the activities and development opportunities the nursery offers. Our youngest is always so excited to go to nursery and squeals on his way in every morning! The use of the tapestry website to keep us up to date on what he’s been up to is also great.

My son is always upset to leave he loves it so much. He seems very involved in activities and is coming on leaps and bounds with his learning. I also think the outside space is invaluable.

I would highly recommend this nursery. They have made the transition from maternity leave to leaving our baby daughter with them so easy. They are welcoming, understanding and show great enthusiasm at looking after our daughter. Anything I have asked they have done regarding her care. My daughter has really developed since joining them in sandy strawberries. She will be staying for a few more years that’s for sure.

Apples and Pears have been a part of our lives for 5 years and we couldn't have asked for a more caring, friendly and fun environment for both our children to learn and grow. All the staff have been great and the management does an excellent job and we're always well informed of events.

Apples and Pears is a fabulous nursery, my little boy loves it. The staff are friendly and very good at their jobs and the environment (on a farm) is peaceful and homely. There is a lot of outside space and the rooms are well equipped.

Sandy Strawberries room right the way through to Banana Club where my eldest attends. The nursery helps to teach the children to be polite, well-mannered individuals giving them lots of confidence ready to start school. I can't recommend them enough. I am so happy with the care that my daughters receive from the nursery.

We couldn't be happier with Apples and Pears for our little boy. In each different room, we have seen the dedication of the staff to make an excellent environment for all the children, but also ensuring that as a parent we feel happy and have opportunities to participate in the nursery with parents forums. I love receiving the notifications of the activities he's participated in using the Tapestry app and feel that the outdoor and indoor environments are really exciting and engaging. We will very much be looking forward to letting our second child join in the fun at Apples and Pears in the future.

Apples and Pears is a fantastic nursery, the staff and location are perfect. We looked at many nurseries in our area and this was top of the list, my child loves to come here and play, interact and learn new things. I would recommend this very highly.

One of my daughters has a food allergy and this has been catered for from day 1 without any issues and lovely alternatives cooked freshly alongside all the other lovely freshly cooked food so she has never felt left out.

Amazing setting, amazing staff, just an amazing nursery.

My daughter is quite a sensitive little girl and is usually quite anxious about going to nursery, but once she is there she thoroughly enjoys.

Our son has attended now for 14 months. The development of him has been helped by the nursery staff. They really understand his individual needs and he now doesn't want to leave at the end of the day, which says it all. Following previous feedback, the nursery acted upon my comments which prove they not only listen but act immediately as they strive to be first class in all aspects. Our other two children attended another nursery before moving to Smallwood so I can make a first-hand comparison and have to say Apples & Pears is first class.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Apples & Pears Day Nursery, all the members of the team are superb and the level of care and attention that each child receives is exceptional.

My little boy loves his time at nursery and I can go to work with confidence that he is happy and is being well cared for.

The updates that are provided through the Tapestry system enables parents to gain a greater understanding of the personal development of their child and also provides the opportunity to comment and update with activities/progress made at home.
