Apples and Pears is an absolutely wonderful nursery. By far the best in the area and probably beyond. The purpose-built setting really makes a difference to the feel, with open-plan indoor/outdoor spaces. The staff are absolutely amazing and make such lovely bonds with the children. My child started
when he was 15 months and is now nearly 3 and has made friends that he will probably take through all of his school years. He loves every minute of it. They create such a lovely sociable setting around mealtimes too which I thoroughly appreciate with having a very fussy eater. I have recommended to a few friends now who all find it an amazing nursery.

Apples & Pears feels like a very safe and happy environment for our child. The feedback from staff throughout the day on our child's play, meals, and naps is extremely valuable and an excellent feature offered by the nursery. My child has been attending for just over two weeks, it was so hard in the first days but our key worker talked me through my worries and concerns to reassure me. I receive updates daily and know she is receiving the best care! She is always happy and bouncing coming to and from nursery.
Apple and
Pears have obviously put a lot of work into her weaning, at home is less messy and made life easier. I love that she plays with a wide range of toys, for example, I wouldn't necessarily give her cars as toys but she loves the choices at nursery.
Thank you for looking after her and all the staff are knowledgeable of my child and her day.

We cannot recommend Apples and Pears highly enough! Our little one has been going since she turned 1, she's just gone up to her new room! The staff are amazing, everyone from the greeting at reception, the care she receives while in the nursery, the handover process, and the support of the office too.
Our little one has come on so much since she's been in attendance. An absolute credit to the time spent at Apples And Pears.

My daughter has recently started attending once a week currently, and she has loved it from the get-go, the nursery just has an amazing feel and you can tell the staff genuinely care for each child, they keep me updated just enough throughout the day and that gives me the confidence to go about my day
without worrying.
Can't wait to see how she continues to grow at Allles & Pears, especially as she'll be attending 3 x a week from January.

Apples and Pears dedication is outstanding, creating a nurturing environment where my daughter thrives and her happiness speaks volumes. I'm amazed at how much she's learning and exploring while having so much fun. As a parent, I'm genuinely impressed with the quality of care. While the nursery excels
in its daily activities, I would recommend considering incorporating more activities beyond the setting. Day trips to places like the post office, the zoo, farms, or woodland areas would add an extra layer of learning and excitement for the children. I also suggest enhancing parent-toddler events. A meet-and-greet during class transitions would foster community and enable playdates. As a parent, I value being involved in her activities and development. Her daily excitement reflects the positive atmosphere built. I'm immensely grateful for the exceptional care that shapes her early years. As a parent, I have had a really positive and welcoming experience so far. All the staff go above and beyond to ensure my little boy is looked after and happy. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It has made going back to work after maternity so much easier knowing that they have my little

Both of my children attended Apples and Pears from the age of 1 and have both thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The staff provide an excellent level of care and is always welcoming and friendly. My eldest was well prepared for school following his time in preschool and was sad to leave!

I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery. I have had 3 children attend and every one has been happy at apples and pears. They make strong relationships with peers and staff, the practitioners are friendly and always have time to talk. I feel my children were well prepared for next steps, whether
it was moving room or preparation for school. The pre school room and management organise a lovely Xmas performance and graduation. The other rooms organise play and stay sessions you are invited to join in with which I really enjoyed joining. My children have had lots of fun and memorable experiences and I feel they had a great start in life. Management are approachable and easy to talk to.

My child is happy which makes me happy. The staff are wonderful, patient and kind. Can't fault it at all and would recommend to everyone. The setting is lovely and modern and clean, and staff stay a long time which says something too.

The nursery has a lovely atmosphere and really attentive staff who truly care about the children they look after. It’s a nice and clean nursery and very well organised. The activities they do with the children are really good at helping them to develop and the feedback when picking up is very detailed.
I would highly recommend this nursery for little ones.

My children love the nursery and we have been very impressed since our eldest started in Dec 2021. The staff are friendly and provide good updates and management are engaged in providing an excellent service. In terms of improvement, other nurseries do have more flexibility if a day here or there needs
to be swapped whereas, Apple and Pears doesn’t, given the length and amount of custom I would expect something could be done about this to cater to certain circumstances.

Our child attends for 4 days a week. He is well cared for, supported and adores going to nursery. The handovers and info we receive is excellent and timely. The nursery always looks clean and maintained, and the staff are polite and friendly.
The thing we have noticed the most is that our child acts
the same in nursery as he does when happy and content at home - a true testament to the staff's ability to support his development effectively. They have become our village to help us raise a happy, thriving child and we are so happy we chose this nursery.

Lovely nursery. My daughter goes in and comes back super happy and worn out (in a good way) every day! Can’t ask for much more! Building is clean, bright and has great outdoor space. The children are outside as much as possible and the indoor rooms are huge for them to run around if inside. They have
a great variety of fresh food on offer every day and are very accommodating to any dietary requests.


The nursery workers are all lovely and take the time to speak to you about your child’s day at pick up time. My daughter is always more than happy to be handed over to any of them in the morning.


The nursery is on a working farm and my daughter loves going to see the sheep and donkeys near the car park at the start and end of the day. It’s a really lovely setting for a nursery. The owner is almost always on site, visible and happy to talk to you.

We have nothing but amazing things to say about Apples and Pears Nursery. The staff are amazing, the food is amazing, the facilities are too. We are so happy we chose to send our little boy here and now we wouldn’t send our children anywhere else.

From entering the building at the start, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The new building allows great outdoor access. The staff are great at settling my child, and the pictures sent from his day are reassuring.

We couldn’t have picked a better nursery for our daughter. As soon as we saw it, we knew it was the one we wanted her to go to. She loves going to the nursery and loves the staff there. We especially love the location and how it is surrounded by woodland and animals. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Overall it's been a great experience, the staff and very kind and accommodating for any changes in circumstances that may occur.
My only request would be to update the care diary as accurately as possible. There would be some days I'm advised my child only ate a certain amount of food or snacks, then
the diary would come back saying they have eaten everything, which isn't the case. It nothing major but maybe something to take into account.
Other than that everything and everyone is great.

I couldn’t ask for more from a nursery setting for my little boy. The setting, the staff, the activities, the food, the care is all absolutely second to none. My boy comes away full of beans telling me about his day, has always eaten really well, talks about the staff with the same admiration that he
does family, and the way that they prepare kids for the next stages, be that moving up a room or starting the preparations for moving to primary school are brilliant. I could not be happier with Apples & Pears!

My child has received the best care and support since joining the nursery three years ago. He loves every day that he spends in the setting and continues to thrive due to the hard work and dedication that the whole team provide.
There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere as everyone is so friendly and
approachable. I feel that there is a real human first attitude from all of the staff.
Communication from the nursery is also amazing. I love receiving pictures and videos showing what my child is getting up to throughout the day. Response to emails is also very quick and I feel that everything I ask or query is dealt with straight away.
I am sad that my child will be leaving this summer but I know that he has received the best from the time that he has been at Apples & Pears Private Day Nursery.
I would highly recommend the nursery to any of my friends, family or colleagues and if I were to have another child I would not hesitate to bring them here.
