Partou Curiosity Corner Day Nursery & Pre-school provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five. The nursery has 'the curiosity approach' accredited and the setting is one of the most well-established nurseries in Southport, having been open for nearly 20 years.

Children at the nursery are prepared for school in a fun, inspiring environment led by highly qualified staff. Exciting learning activities are planned around each child’s unique interests and needs, and parents are included in this using an online learning journal.

A modern-day ‘curiosity approach’ is adopted in areas throughout the nursery, nurturing children’s sense of wonder using natural resources. Staff at the nursery are dedicated to inspiring curiosity and awe with this approach, creating the ‘thinkers and doers’ of the future.

Their childcare practitioners hold childcare qualifications, have safeguarding and paediatric first aid training and have all undergone enhanced DBS checks. CCTV and secure door entry systems provide added security for the nursery’s little ones.

15 and 30 free hour childcare places are available to eligible families, and fees include milk, nappies, wipes and sun cream. Fees also include the nursery’s delicious and healthy meals and snacks, which are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen each day.

I love this nursery! My son has been attending four days a week since he was eight months old. The team are fantastic and have helped him achieve every milestone and more. He has a varied diet and activity schedule which we both love. The team know him so well, I’ve never worried about the care he receives.
It really is a home from home for my son and that makes me feel so much happier when I go to work.

My daughter loves it here, she's been coming since she was 6 months and the team here have really helped her learn and develop. It's such a lovely warm environment, and she is given the opportunity to learn things at the speed she wants to. The team are nurturing, yet somehow manage to help her foster
a real sense of independence and give her a chance to test her capabilities in a safe place. In nearly 9 months I've never had difficulty getting her into nursery because she's so happy there.

My son attended the big picture for three years, he absolutely loved it. I never had any problems and would like to thank all the staff who helped make my sons years here enjoyable, and a special thank you to his key worker who we will miss very much, he has just gone on to reception with such an easy
transition thank you again.

We moved our daughter here from another nursery and it was the best thing that we ever did. She is more adventurous with food as she wasn't previously and is more confident in herself.
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, its a pleasure to know that she is being well looked after and cared for.

My little girl has been attending the baby room for a few months now and has fully settled and has built a strong bond with her key worker. Her bubbly personality has started to shine from all the support from the staff. I feel always at ease dropping my little girl off. The staff members will always
respect my wishes and my daughter's needs and following any dietary requirements she has.
The team are amazing and it is clear the staff members love their job and are fully dedicated.

My son has been coming here for 6 months, he's settled in so well. He loves the team in the 2-3s room, they are all so caring and really put my mind at ease! The room is always so welcome my little boy can't wait to start exploring, the team always give me a detailed description of how his day has been!

Lovely nursery and friendly helpful staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. My Goddaughter has been coming here for 6 months now and she has come on so much, her key person is great and meets her every need, I hear all about the things that she has been doing and see photos regularly, her day’s look
like so much fun!
I know that she’s safe as there are excellent systems in place and all the staff are super vigilant, professional but most of all friendly.
I helped her Mum choose her nursery and I’m so glad we found this one, it’s great!!
Food is great and they have won awards for their meals, safe, occupied and happy children, what else could you ask for?!!

Excellent care of my daughter from 9 months old. Now attending preschool my daughter is so happy and loves nursery/preschool.

My son has attended The Big Picture since he was 14 months old. We've never had any faults with the nursery. They are all caring, lovely members of staff who are not only brilliant with each and every child but the parents too. They’ve always got activities planned for the children eg. outside playground,
drawing or painting, walks to the duck pond and lots of other activities that not only are fun but incorporate learning too. They will always fill out an accident form if any of the children have fallen over or bumped their head and I never have to worry about leaving my son in the nursery's care, as he loves being there. My son has loved every moment, with the staff (who he knows all by name) and the countless friends he has made. We will be sad to leave when the time comes but we as a family thank The Big Picture for everything, especially the certain members of staff, who my son has formed fantastic bonds with during his time here!

My little girl started in January 2018 and has come on leaps since starting. All the staff are lovely and treat the children like their own, I haven’t got a single bad word about this nursery or its staff, we like it that much my second daughter starts January 2019 and she’s only visited twice so far
and I can tell she’s going to enjoy it just as much as her sister does. Highly, highly recommend.

Never had any problems with this nursery. They are all lovely towards the parents and children of course.
