My daughter goes here and loves it, and the staff treat her (and us) very well. They are not perfect but seem to be constantly striving to improve and take constructive feedback on board. The recent change in ownership (to Storal Learning) seems to have brought some additional investment to the nursery
and they are busy finalising some renovations. My daughter has been going for over a year now, and we recently doubled her sessions from one afternoon a week to two, with plans to increase it further in due course. The nursery is also very flexible in taking our daughter for additional sessions when required (with them once taking her full time for two weeks to cover some other unexpected commitments).

All 3 of my children have attended Rocking Horse - my daughter attended over 11 years ago, my son left in Sept 2018 and my youngest son is currently at Rocking Horse.
The staff are fantastic, hardworking, caring and full of information and updates on my child's day.
The building is clean, tidy and
very welcoming.
I would not hesitate in recommending Rocking Horse to other parents/carers.

My daughter has been at Rocking Horse since 10 months old and is now 3. She is a very happy, chatty, confident little girl and this is largely down to her nursery time and her carers. Excellent nursery!

My child enjoys her time at Rocking Horse and has grown with confidence, not only this month but all her way through since she started in 2017.
Her carer whilst at nursery shows her good attention and they seem to have a great relationship. My child enjoys playing outside in the garden area and has
made many new friends this term.

My nearly two years old my daughter attends this nursery. When she first started she was shy and missed her mummy and daddy. It was heartbreaking to see, however, I knew she was in excellent care with all the staff as they had previously cared for my other daughter who attended from being 10 months
old to when she started school. Staff are excellent and always go above and beyond and we couldn't ask for any better care for our little one. She has come on leaps and bounds. Thank you!

My daughter struggled at first to adapt to nursery as she is an only child. The staff have been so patient and kind. Everybody you encounter at Rocking Horse Nursery & Pre-school go the extra mile and are friendly and helpful. My daughter is now settled really well and has gained so much independence
from attending. A great range of activities and lovely facilities and toys. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My youngest left this year to start big school but her time at Rocking Horse was amazing. She started in the baby room and worked her way around all the nursery enjoying each and every day making amazing bonds with other children and staff. I can't thank them enough for helping raise my little gem.

I also used this nursery for my eldest 11 years ago. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else and I recommended to my family and friends who also used the nursery.

My little girl loves going to nursery, she always has so much to tell me of what she's been doing and who she's played with.
Staff are friendly and always keen to help and the children, they all appear happy, well looked after and the range of activities always keeps them active and learning whilst

Both of my children attended this nursery after not getting off to a very good start at a previous one.
Rocking Horse are amazing and brought them on so much after their bad experience at the previous one. They both gained confidence and are turning into amazing little children thanks to the guidance

I am the mummy of a very special little boy who attended Rocking Horse for over two years. He was my only child and I would never leave him with anyone until I found this amazing nursery. He would just go off and play saying 'bye mummy' with a cheeky grin. I knew by that expression I had made the right
choice. The warm welcome we would receive from parents, children, and most importantly the staff. They really did become part of a family unit. I guess more close than some blood relatives. My little boy made so many friends. Birthday parties were like being in the nursery. They were so close, happy and beautiful children. From what I saw on a daily basis all the children in that class loved the nursery, their classroom and most importantly the staff. I saw the children grow into beautiful little people. More so my son. He learnt so so much, from colours, singing, playing and sharing. Writing his full name and always brings things home he so proudly made.

Our daughter loves this nursery. And the staff just love her! It's lovely to see her excited and pleased to be left.


Our daughter started here aged 8 months. She's now 13 months. She's in full time.


We looked round a few before deciding on here. We liked the seperate rooms, staff and outdoor

Since leaving my child in the care of rocking horse when he was just 13 months old I have always felt very confident that he was in safe hands and happy to be there.


This made returning to work much easier as I'd envisaged.


The staff are very nice and I feel they genuinely care about the children

We’ve been providing high-quality early years learning for over twenty years to families from our local community and beyond.


Our large converted Victorian home offers so much space for children to learn and grow during this important stage, from our rich indoor learning environments to our outdoor areas, filled with opportunities for adventure.


Our experienced team come with a wealth of early years learning insight. We know that every child is different with their own story to tell, so we make sure that your child learns in a way and at a pace that’s right for them.
