Both my children have attended The Learning Hive in the past five years.
My youngest daughter (aged 16 months) currently attends at present (1.5 days per week) and absolutely loves her time at nursery. Staff are so welcoming/friendly both on drop off and pick up, and I am confident that she is very
well looked after.
Daily diaries are published promptly, along with regular key observations to give us an insight into how she is developing. It's also good to see the menu of the day displayed outside and to read the nursery newsletter to keep up to date with what events/activities are coming up.
I would recommend The Learning Hive to friends and family looking for a local nursery.

Our son has attended the nursery for just over six months. He settled in almost immediately and we credit the staff massively for this. His development has gone from strength to strength while attending the nursery. There is always plenty of activities for our son to be involved in and it is great to
see what he has done in the day on the app. The staff are attentive and caring and the facilities are great. The meal options are always well balanced too.

The staff at The Learning Hive Nursery School have been absolutely amazing, my son really struggled with separation anxiety and the transition he has made with the help and understanding of all the staff I cannot praise enough. My son now is excited and looks forward to going to The Learning Hive daily
and I feel so happy to leave him there rather than worrying about him. He always comes out so happy having done so many activities. The staff take time to learn and engage with the children. I would happily recommend them to any of my family and friends.

My firstborn had been to a nursery before we moved into Droylsden 2/3 years ago. When we found this nursery, we were amazed at how much better this one was and honestly, if I could give it more stars I would! The staff are so lovely and so good with the children. Rocking Horse Nursery is absolutely fantastic. From the top down, I have always been impressed by their professionalism and their attentive nature to the children. The food they serve is interesting, nutritious and varied and the place is always clean. My children come home happy and tired every day,
which is exactly what I like to see. The list goes on. I honestly cannot find any way to criticise the nursery as they seem to excel in every area. It will be a sad day that dawns when I no longer drop my kids off there because I've enjoyed every minute of using their services. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We have 2 children who attend the nursery (one preschool and one in the baby room). Both our children are very happy coming into nursery every day! They love all of the lovely caring staff that look after them and are always happy to see them in the morning. Our oldest child tells us about all of the
things she has learned at nursery each day and talks about the fun activities she has taken part in. We couldn't be happier with the care and teaching our children to receive and the setting they are able to grow and learn in. We will be sad when our oldest leaves and goes to school in September as she has formed relationships with so many people here!

My son has been coming to Rocking Horse Nursery & Pre-school since he was 8 months old, he’s now nearly 3. Half the time he doesn’t want to leave the nursery and come home because he’s having so much fun. He’s always talking about his friends and teachers and this just shows how much he likes it.

Rocking Horse Nursery is not just a nursery but it has been such an exceptional place for my son to thrive in. The staff are very friendly approachable professional and very motivated. There was not a time that I felt I didn't know what was happening when my child was in the nursery and any updates
on services are always communicated in a timely manner. My son has developed into such an independent boy for his age and I loved the fact that whatever we were working on at home once communicated to the nursery staff they supported the action and rewarded my son with encouragement. Very lovely nursery first class all the way.

My child has been coming to the nursery from 9-months-old, is currently in preschool and is due to leave in September. My little girl always comes home happy and talks about her friends and favourite staff members. I get great observations and information on what she has been doing each day. Also, all
meals are healthy, and she loves them. When I drop her off in the morning, staff or management always greet her with a big smile and say good morning, making her feel welcome. She has always gone to them straight away, never wanting to come back to me, which is great and reassures me she enjoys nursery.

My four children have been attending Rocking Horse Nursery & Pre-school over the past five years. My twins are the last ones to attend and will be leaving for school this summer. I can honestly say, I never wanted to choose a different nursery. I’ve always been at ease, and they have always been happy
and comfortable here. The staff are like their family. Learning and development is a key part of each day and my sons both left well prepared for their reception class. It’s a huge decision leaving your children in the care of others and I would highly recommend this nursery. The communication and updates via the app are always great. I will miss the updates when they go to school and their last day here will sure be a sad one.

My daughter attends three times a week since Sept and really loves it. We picked Rocking Horse for its location and upon viewing, we were charmed by the atmosphere and staff.

Fantastic place and a fantastic team. When we visited it for the first time, I fell in love with it and wanted my little one to be a part of it. The team is brilliant! Very good and easy communication with the parents.

The best nursery around! 5* Staff, girls are brilliant with kids. Food is more than delicious as my kids love it and ate it all each day. I'm 100% sure that is the right place for my kids. I could see a massive improvement in my both kids' speech too. Highly recommend.

Me and my partner are so pleased with the service that this nursery provides.
Both our three-year-old and our seven months old attend and they absolutely love it. The older in particular never liked to go to other nurseries, but he asks to go every day now.
The attentiveness to the children is amazing
and they genuinely care about their development, creating a personalised path according to the needs.
Everyone is really kind and helpful, especially in this period, since we are both key workers and more then once, we have asked for additional days with even one day notice and they have always accommodated us without any worries.
It’s really helpful that they decided to stay open to help people like us carrying on with our jobs.
We are extremely grateful and impressed with their commitment to the kids and their families.

Rocking Horse nursery isn't just a nursery. The minute your child walks through the door on day one you become one of the family. The care and attention given to the development of your child is second to none. The staff are friendly and warm nothing ever seems to be too much trouble and in my experience
regularly go above and beyond what you would expect. Regular updates take place but any concern or development needs you feel you have are always acted upon and fed back. Our son has been at Rocking Horse since he was one and is now coming to the end of his time there attending the pre-school. The pre-school is great and set up to be as similar in feel to a reception class, to help with the transition to school when it comes. The outside space so important to an active little boy is fantastic, the free flow means it's easy to move between the classroom and outside. The food is varied and nutritious. I can't recommend it more and we'll miss it when he moves on.

I highly recommend Rocking Horse Nursery. My daughter attends five days a week and is so happy whilst at nursery. She loves attending every day and has such an amazing bond with the staff members in the room, she even asks for them on the weekends. The baby unit is beautifully decorated and is a lovely
environment for children. My daughter has come on so much since starting nursery. I love coming out of work and getting a daily update through the app on everything. To what she has eaten, drank, slept, nappies and what she has been up to. I am so happy that I chose this nursery to send my daughter to.

I can’t fault this nursery in any way. They care about our children and we the parents as well. The staff are amazing, friendly and very professional. I’ve been with them long enough to vouch for them. The love, care and support they gave me and are still giving me when I lost my son, who also attended

Rocking Horse is a brilliant nursery, my 1-year-old loves it there. He is always excited to go in, the girls are always happy to see him in the mornings. I love reading his notebook at the end of the day to see what he has been up to. The eyLog app is also amazing to get a glimpse into his life at nursery
and how he is progressing. The staff really care about the children and their development and I always feel confident leaving my son there. 5 stars for Rocking Horse they, are amazing.

Welcome to The Learning Hive Nursery School in Audenshaw near Manchester.


Every day at The Learning Hive, we encourage children to be inquisitive and imaginative in our wonderful environment. In doing so, they soon develop a real love of learning and a curious mind. We’ve been providing high-quality early years learning for over twenty years to families from our local community and beyond.


Our large converted Victorian home offers so much space for children to learn and grow during this important stage, from our rich indoor learning environments to our outdoor areas, filled with opportunities for adventure.


Our experienced team come with a wealth of early years learning insight. We know that every child is different with their own story to tell, so we make sure that your child learns in a way and at a pace that’s right for them.
