Stepping Stones Nursery

I am very pleased with the development of my great-grandson whilst attending the nursery, particularly in his social asking and his speech, which has improved so much in the recent months.

My son loves Stepping Stones. All the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure his needs are met. They always have so many fun, but also educational activities daily. There is a lovely big garden area where the children play outside. Such a warm and homely feel within Stepping Stones.

We have already recommended this nursery to our neighbours as our daughter has really enjoyed her time there over the last year. My daughter loves getting involved in a wide variety of activities and has made lots of friends there. She is always happy to go to nursery in the mornings and talks fondly of the other children and staff members, it's clear she feels safe there and is really well looked after.

I had to undergo two surgeries in a row. My husband could not have any more leave. Then we started thinking to send our daughter to nursery, it was a really hard decision as she has never been away from us with being a typical two year old toddler and her first language not being English but we were desperate. All the staff at nursery reassured us, we had settling in sessions and they explained everything, the app also gave us a picture of what's going on and we used to love to see her smiling face doing so many activities on the app. She settled in completely after a week. Now she is so eager to go to nursery, a smiling, joyful kiddo when she enters and leaves. The food also is good.

This nursery is fantastic. The second of my two boys are now at the nursery, currently in pre-school. The team are friendly, with a great range of resources on offer and the team are constantly looking to update and improve what’s on offer. The nursery is currently undergoing renovation so the setting is only going to get better. Pre-school really focuses on learning French lessons, previously Spanish lessons, baking, constructing, learning to write and even the promise of homework activities in the coming months. All supported by lots of play obviously! The last year has been difficult all round but the team have reacted and adapted brilliantly making the best of the situation. I always feel my son is in safe hands, you can’t ask for more than that!

Can't fault the staff, kind, caring and they truly love their jobs. I can see how close the children are to the staff there. My little one is four and has been at Stepping Stones Nursery since nine-months-old, for her it has been her second home.

Fantastic staff who always look after our daughter so well. She loves it there and always comes home with a smile on her face. Lot's of fun activities each day but also great that she is able to go outside in the garden each day and play with her friends.

My daughter has been attending Stepping Stones since she was 9-months-old. She's now 2-years and 3-months and she still absolutely loves it! She has a fantastic relationship with the staff and has made some wonderful friends. She's always excited to go to nursery, so much so, we have recently increased her attendance. She has also come on so much since going, and I definitely attribute some of this to Stepping Stones. I have already secured my 2nd daughter's place when I return to work after maternity leave. I would recommend this nursery to anyone in a heartbeat!

From day one, the staff at Stepping Stones have been extremely kind and helpful, allowing us to feel confident that our child is safe, cared for and valued. Over the last 9-months, we have watched our child grow and develop with enormous progression, which is due to the attention he receives from the staff and their desire to treat every child equally. Whilst caring for every child equally, they also go out their way to make sure the care is customised to the child, ensuring that their routines are kept and built on in a way that is helpful for the nursery but more importantly for the family.

Our child looks forward to going to nursery and is always waiting at the front door keen to go on a Monday morning. If stepping Stones wasn't a fun place to be - he wouldn't do this.

We are happy our daughter attends here as her development is clear.

Our son has been attending Stepping Stones Nursery since July 2020 and the difference in him, in terms of confidence and development is clear for all to see. He loves going to nursery and is gaining so much from being with other children - especially given the majority of his first year of life was in lockdown! The staff are friendly, approachable and accommodating, and you can see how clearly they care for the children.

My little boy started at 10-months-old, being born during a global pandemic, he naturally hasn't spent time away from me or his father before. Stepping Stones have been brilliant settling him in and introducing him to the real world beyond our house. He is now 13-months-old and coming on leaps and bounds. I have and will continue to recommend Stepping Stones. Thank you.

My son started at Stepping Stones in January, and everyone there has made him feel so welcome. He’s two, and so started nursery late - the flexibility with getting him settled and seeing which room he’d be better suited to was fantastic. It wasn’t simply based on his age. My husband and I both have the app that gets updated daily with pictures, our sons day and his development assessments. We love being able to see where he is up to. I’m really fussy when it comes to nursery settings, but I can’t fault Stepping Stones so far.

Staff are all really nice, and the nursery has a nice, friendly atmosphere. My son settled really well here, he enjoys going to nursery, always has a lot of fun, and he has developed a lot more since starting here.

Our daughter has been at Stepping Stones Nursery since she was 8 months old when I returned to work following maternity leave. We've been so happy with her development since she's been at the nursery. The staff are amazing and our daughter is obviously very happy and settled the nursery App is great and allows us to keep track of meals and naps during the day. The variety of food at the nursery is fantastic. We love receiving updates on our daughter's progress via the tapestry App. The nursery has a fantastic range of activities for the children each day and our daughter is going from strength to strength as a result. We would defiantly recommend this nursery and our daughter will continue to attend until she starts school.

My little girl started at 16 months and is now nearly 2, she goes in smiling and comes out smiling, all the staff have been amazing with her which has helped her bond, lots of fantastic relationships. I feel my little one is safe and well cared for which puts my mind at ease. When she started the nursery was under a new manager and deputy manager who are doing an incredible job at keeping the nursery running in these crazy time.

My niece attends Stepping Stones and she absolutely loves going there. The team are amazing and I would highly recommend. Since starting nursery I have really noticed how much she has developed in a short space of time.

Both of my children attend Stepping Stones Nursery and have recommended to my friends. My eldest is in preschool and he has developed and learned so much. He enjoys going and tells me about his friends and what activities he has been doing. He enjoys French and Spanish and using the interactive board. He loves playing outside. He also comments on how good the food is! My little girl has just started in the baby room and she has settled in really well. She loves playing with the other babies and has been drawing and painting. They both are well looked after and happy.

I was a little bit anxious about leaving my Daughter as she has quite complex needs due to having severe Eczema, but the staff really took this on board and ensured that she was kept comfortable by applying her creams several times throughout the day and adhering to the information I had given them regarding her allergies. You know your child's happy when they are racing to get through the nursery door on arrival. Thank you so much Stepping Stones!

My son joined Stepping Stones when he was 3 and a half after we moved to the area. He has loved his time there and has built fantastic relationships with the staff who are all energetic, enthusiastic, experienced but most of all caring. The nursery has a great family feel and it’s small scale means everyone knows everyone. It has a lovely garden and the children get up to all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities. I thoroughly recommend it.
