Stepping Stones Nursery

Stepping Stones is a lovely well run nursery. The nursery team in particular are all outstanding and always so kind & caring. The nursery space is lovely with a fantastic outdoor area too. The activities are varied with lots of opportunities to explore new things. Highly recommended.

My daughter has flourished at Stepping Stones since she began 2 years ago, she walks in every morning without any issues. The staff are very personable and care so much, they go above and beyond to make sure every day is different for the children attending. They have done so many improvements to the spaces they have available, and it looks fantastic. Food is varied, and my daughter asks to take extra tea home...so it must taste good too! Thank you to all staff.

Staff are really polite and friendly. Our son loves going to this nursery. He is always bringing home his paintings that he has done, and we are always kept in the loop with which activities he has done for the day. To improve I feel like the nursery need to be updating the app with what the children drink, how much and at what time. I also feel that with the price it should include things such as baby Wipes. Overall a really good nursery for our son and very happy with the staff.

My daughter started nursery here in January 2025 and already loves it and smiles when we drop her off. All the staff are really friendly and she has already come on so much since starting, so it's obvious to see how this has helped her in reaching developmental milestones. She can now walk with the assistance of her walker, can make some animal noises and signs a kiss.

Would recommend to all.

Can not fault anything. The staff and manager are spot on. The joy we see in our son's face when he is going and being picked up says it all about how much fun he has. As well as the times he doesn't want to leave. Couldn't say a single bad word.

We have found the nursery has really helped her progress and develop as a little person and would recommend Stepping Stones to others.

My daughters are very happy all the time after we pick up. She seems to enjoy being in the nursery. But no daily photos are shared with us. If we can receive more photos and see what she is doing and what she learns in the nursery that will be good. Thanks!

Great that they have a few rooms for age groups but not solely based on age but ability also so you're really getting the best learning/correct room for your child.

Our son has been attending Stepping Stones since I returned to work in July. As our first baby, we were nervous about choosing a nursery but the staff have been nothing but great. He has settled in well and we can see that his development has come on considerably since attending. We are kept up-to-date with his nap and eating times, as well as sent photos of what he is up to which gives us peace of mind. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I had to change nurseries due to moving house so was really apprehensive about sending my daughter somewhere new. My daughter has settled so well and is so happy every day going to nursery. My baby son now also goes in the baby room and he loves his time at nursery also. With the setting not being too big, you get to know all of the staff and everyone has such a lovely bond and is very caring and loving to the children. They also keep you updated regularly through the app and any updates. We really love sending our children to Stepping Stones.

Overall a really good nursery and really local to us, the activities are brilliant on settles and day-to-day, my daughter enjoys going. The staff are really nice to me and my daughter, she is coming along with her play and education nicely!

Lovely nursery! The staff are amazing, and my daughter loves attending the nursery. Great range of activities, they make the kids feel safe and happy. The food they offer is Halal and they serve fruits and milk. My daughter has learnt a great deal since she joined, and I'm grateful to all the amazing staff for helping her settle in so well. I'd recommend Stepping Stones Nursery!

My daughter started at Stepping Stones in November of last year and she loves it! All the staff are just excellent. They are so kind and friendly and care so much about the children in the setting. At the nursery, they do great activities for the children, which are really well thought out, educational, and lots of fun. The setting itself is very clean with lots of great facilities in the rooms and great outdoor space. My daughter loves attending the nursery and has developed significantly since she started. The staff have been wonderful in looking after her. I have been so impressed, and I highly recommend the setting!

All together I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery.

My little boy has very recently just started here and I’ve already seen such a big positive change in him! The staff are amazing and from the start with his settling-in sessions the staff have lived up to the expectations if not exceeded them. It’s such a friendly little nursery and I can see my little boy thriving here already and I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff here for making this really hard process for me and my son an even smoother experience and I’m really impressed with everything they do here.

If I could give zero stars believe me I would. Please don’t send your child to this nursery, I have taken mine out as soon as I witnessed a staff member shouting at him very aggressively for playing, singing and making ‘too much’ noise (he is two years old). The staff were unaware I was outside the room listening to the whole thing as the doorbell never works when you go to collect your child. I feel physically sick to know they have been treating my child this way. There is a lack of care and attention to the children with zero communication to the parents even when you ask for pictures or information you will be ignored. The only messages you regularly receive are around payments, unfortunately, all they care about is signing up as many children as they can and then not being able to care for these children at all. I could honestly write a massive list of other reasons why not to send your child here but luckily for them, it limits how much you can write. My child lasted 12 days in total.

My son joined the nursery midway through November. He enjoys his days at nursery. The staff and management are very caring, attentive and easy to liaise with, they have gotten to know how my son is and what works best for him. Any questions/queries I have get responded to quite quickly. The app gives me ease to know how my son is getting on throughout the day and the pictures uploaded of his day are very warming. I highly recommend this nursery setting.
