Holly Tree Montessori

I can't praise Holly Tree Montessori enough. We found Holly Tree Montessori when searching for a Montessori specific nursery local to our home/work. He started in the baby room nearly a year and a half ago and settled within a matter of hours. The staff are warm and friendly, and encourage little ones to explore their interests in detail through 'work cycle'. My little boy literally runs into nursery every day. He has genuine, close bonds with his key workers and we get regular, detailed updates on his development. We also can keep track of how he's getting on during the day through pictures on the private Facebook group - often messy and sensory play that my little one loves. Food is well prepared in house too and often my little one will have several servings in one sitting. Working full time, it's really important to me that my children are in a setting that will not only challenge them and help them grow, but somewhere that feels like a home from home. Holly Tree Montessori is the ideal setting for this!

Our daughter started at Holly Tree Montessori at the age of 10 months and they did a fab job of helping her settle in after the tricky lockdown period in which she hadn't been around many other children (or indeed many people outside the immediate family). It's great to see updates throughout the day on the private Facebook group and to have more structured updates via Tapestry also. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and seem to really know our daughter and understand how she responds to different learning opportunities and challenges. Also the food sounds way better than what we manage to make at home!

My daughter has been at Holly Tree Montessori since May 2019 and will be leaving at the end of August to head off to big school. The years at Holly Tree Montessori have been one of the best decisions we have made for her. Although the youngest in the year, we feel she is more than ready for the next big step of starting school. They’ve worked so hard to ensure she is prepared for what the next stage will bring, while still being incredibly caring and a home from home for her. Our choice to send her to Holly Tree will be one of the starts we could have given to her and will miss everyone there when she leaves in August.

Our experience with Holly Tree Montessori has been extremely positive. Since attending, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds. Her days include a great combination of structured and fun activities, which always have a real-life application. The staff are friendly and professional and offer feedback and updates regularly. We would certainly recommend Holly Tree Montessori to any other parents looking for childcare.

Our son had been struggling, both emotionally and mentally at his previous nursery but we hadn’t realised just how much until he’s been cared for by Holly Tree Montessori. What has been a difficult start, is now blossoming into wonderful progress and the light in our son is starting to shine for all to see. We have the team work with us so that our son receives 100-percent support and the staff listens to us and to what our son needs. There’s mutual respect, with is very much appreciated.

My little boy has attended this nursery since he was nine months old and he absolutely loves it. He has progressed so much over the last two years and it is thanks to the staff at Holly Tree Montessori. They always plan thoughtful activities and follow the child's interests. This last month has been difficult as my son has struggled with adapting to preschool, with it being a much bigger class. The staff have taken the time to ensure he settles well, by creating a bear hunt display near the entry of the room that he could engage with and make going to the room more fun. They also made sure he interacted with the children by taking "travelling ted" home so he could come to preschool with stories about his adventures. Four weeks later and he loves preschool! No more tears. I'm so happy we chose Holly Tree Montessori.

I cannot speak highly enough of Holly Tree Montessori. They have helped manage the stressful time of settling a child in nursery so well and my daughter now loves every second of nursery. The activities they plan for the children are thoughtful and varied and we can really see the development in our child's confidence since going.

Our daughter started at age 1 and after lockdown I felt very upset at the thought of her starting nursery and that our bubble was ending. We had a few questions and queries that were professionally and efficiently handled by the manager, we found her to be extremely approachable and understanding in our situation and concerns we had at the time. She made us feel at ease and went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable. We find the whole team at Holly Tree Montessori warm and welcoming, they develop a strong rapport with parents and in turn we then feel confident in their ability to deliver a very high and consistent level of childcare. We wouldn't send our daughter anywhere else.

My son has had his first few induction days and the staff have been fantastic with him. They've helped settle him in super quickly and he now loves talking about nursery with me and his auntie. We can't wait until next week when he starts fully - he's going to do fantastic here I can just tell.

I am really pleased with the nursery. My daughter has been so happy with you and I absolutely love the Montessori approach, all the staff are amazing and the nursery feels like a home. I wouldn’t put my children anywhere else and can’t wait for my little boy to start his nursery journey too.

My daughter has attended Holly Tree Montessori Nursery from just turning three, having never been in a childcare setting before, and now is almost ready to start primary school.

From her first day both her and, her parents have loved it.

Her progression has been incredible to see, the nursery staff are all lovely, the communication is outstanding and I feel she has been safe with excellent covid policies and procedures throughout the pandemic.

I would thoroughly recommend the Montessori approach to learn and feel all the staff at the nursery are experts in this.

We will all be sad for her to leave but Holly Tree Montessori could not have prepared her better for the transition to full time education.

My son loves coming to Holly Tree. He has settled in really well. I love seeing pictures of him on their Facebook page smiling all the time. They always seem to be doing so much with the children promoting their development. The staff have worked really hard after lockdown to ensure the health of our children and so far they’ve had no problems with Covid which is fantastic. 5* nursery and I always recommend them to friends. My son started in Sept aged 14 months, after only a few sessions he confidently walked in. He thrives in the Montessori environment and has learnt to transfer the skills learnt in to his activities at home. He has grown in confidence in such a short period. The staff are extremely friendly and informative, no question is too small, all whilst adhering to Covid guidelines. The home school diary helps us keep on top of what he has eaten (usually everything with seconds too!) and how often his nappies have been changed as well as what he's enjoyed that day.

Holly Tree continues to develop and strive to be better, the staff are continually updating their qualifications and always willing to try new activities with the children. All three of my children have attended here and we are very happy with the standard of care. The Montessori behaviours are really positive and it’s a great environment for our youngest child.

Holly Tree is such a pleasant nursery where both my daughters have had the best start in their early years by attending here. My youngest daughter has the most wonderful time, always coming home talking about the range of brilliant activities and opportunities she is provided with throughout the week, from sports sessions to practical life activities, which I know she will carry with her in her journey after nursery. The whole nursery staff team are such a wonderful caring group of people who have always made both my daughters feel welcome, happy and settled during their time here. Always love looking at pictures on FaceBook and tapestry of how she is developing, and progressing in her learning.

Holly Tree is a truly special nursery. My little boy asks every day if it is a ‘nursery day’. The team are so caring to all children and the communication to parents is excellent. The Montessori activities are superb for children’s development. The indoor space and garden are wonderful, light bright and the perfect size for each age range to be together in. I really recommend this nursery to anyone and am so happy both my boys have had their early years in this setting.

Holly Tree is an amazing setting for our daughter! She is in the baby room and shown so much love from everyone it’s lovely to see. She is given healthy meals which she loves and always eats everything, sometimes two lots! There are lots of activities and areas for her to choose, she does something new each day! We can’t wait to watch her grow at Holly Tree!

Holly Tree is an amazing nursery. My daughter began her settle sessions a week or so after her first birthday. The workers really made a big effort with her and she settled in really fast. She absolutely loves the nursery now and has been in the baby room for 4 months. She has come on so much physically and mentally since being there. It really is a wonderful place!

I’m also impressed with the communication from the staff to parents via email so I know every week how my son is progressing.
