Holyrood Nursery Swinton is proud to be graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted in May 2018.

Holyrood nursery provides care for children from birth to five years of age throughout six large playrooms that are age-appropriate.

Each room provides quality resources in a stimulating environment. The nursery also has two rooms in which carers provide wrap-around care for a local school and a holiday club for children aged four to 11-years-old.

Holyrood also has a large outdoor space that has a sand and mud pit alongside a water pump that the children love to play with on a daily basis.

The nursery chef has been working with Holyrood since December 2005. Alongside making yummy food, she also enjoys covering in the rooms and her 'Cooking with Cath' sessions.

Children are central to all that staff do here so to make sure of this the nursery has a children’s committee, this allows the children to participate in decisions that will affect them at nursery.

The entire key person planning is based on the unique child principle taken from the EYFS document and this allows professionals to cater for and develop the child’s individual needs.

Holyrood provide a range of session patterns to suit all childcare needs including variable sessions, extra sessions and full-time discount.

I have picked my nephew up many times from the nursery. The Manager and her staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be using this Nursery when I have my children.

Holyrood nursery is a fantastic nursery. The environment is so warm and welcoming and the staff are so friendly, they make me feel at ease when leaving my daughter every day.


My daughter has a great relationship with her key person and really enjoys talking to me about what she has learnt and taken

part in throughout the day.


I would definitely recommend Holyrood Swinton to anyone who is looking for childcare.

Going back to work when your baby is four months old is very hard! The girls made me feel so relaxed and I know he is being taken care of. Everyone is very reassuring and the fees being inclusive of milk and nappies is great! I know he is being looked after and can get on with my job without worrying.
The nursery is clean, spacious and full of amazing staff! My daughters have also attended. Each room is amazing.

I have recently been picking up my niece from this fantastic nursery. Working in childcare myself, I was very interested in visiting. First impressions: The manager was extremely welcoming and very helpful and knew every child arriving at the nursery, this continued throughout the nursery. Lots of staff
have been there a while which speaks volumes! Lovely, clean and bright nursery with great outdoor space and fantastic staff! :)

My grandson has been coming to the nursery for a number of years. He loves going. The staff are really lovely and make us feel very welcome. He always says he loves his dinners and teas. The manager is always welcoming and always finds the time to speak to him. Great outdoor activities too!

Since starting in the middle of November the kids have been happy. The atmosphere in the place is very inviting and pleasant. Staff members are very friendly and kind. As a mother, I was very worried about leaving my first child at the nursery. As I arrived at the setting I was welcomed by an amazing management team. I was reassured straight away. Despite joining the nursery relatively recently as parents myself and my husband are very happy about the service. Our son willingly attends everyday full-time sessions and seems to have remained outgoing and cheerful after changing the environment from staying at home- since joining he's become more
vocal and develops his speech in line with expected changes at this stage. He's physically active which we can observe when picking him up in the afternoon when he plays with other children and mums around. On that basis, I believe the nursery creates/facilitates overall/including social child's development- we're happy with a variety of meals although I wouldn't mind introducing, even more veg and fruit. Staff also are very communicative and informed about our son's activities throughout the day.

My child has attended this nursery since 2014 and is now in the preschool room, the care and expertise is second to none, the staff provide exciting and stimulating activities and the chef provides a wide range of healthy meals. The management team are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble, I recommend
this nursery to everyone and it's definitely value for money.

I collected my granddaughter from this nursery for the first time in August. My first impressions were welcoming and warm! The staff were very helpful and informative and couldn't do enough for me (I couldn't work the pram and they were on hand to demonstrate) :) I was acknowledged by all members of
the team, including the chef- it felt very home from home!
