Holyrood Nursery Swinton is proud to be graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted in May 2018.

Holyrood nursery provides care for children from birth to five years of age throughout six large playrooms that are age-appropriate.

Each room provides quality resources in a stimulating environment. The nursery also has two rooms in which carers provide wrap-around care for a local school and a holiday club for children aged four to 11-years-old.

Holyrood also has a large outdoor space that has a sand and mud pit alongside a water pump that the children love to play with on a daily basis.

The nursery chef has been working with Holyrood since December 2005. Alongside making yummy food, she also enjoys covering in the rooms and her 'Cooking with Cath' sessions.

Children are central to all that staff do here so to make sure of this the nursery has a children’s committee, this allows the children to participate in decisions that will affect them at nursery.

The entire key person planning is based on the unique child principle taken from the EYFS document and this allows professionals to cater for and develop the child’s individual needs.

Holyrood provide a range of session patterns to suit all childcare needs including variable sessions, extra sessions and full-time discount.

My 3rd child attends this nursery. My 1st child came here in 2010 and the management and some the staff have stayed the same which to me shows a happy team. Happy staff=happy children and over the years the nursery has expanded and lots of money has been spent in the area for the older children both
inside and out. I always recommend this nursery.

I moved my son to Holyrood Swinton after a bad experience with another nursery which he'd attended for 6 months. The difference in my son as soon as he started here was amazing. He's so much happier and his development has come on in leaps and bounds.


There is a really friendly and supportive atmosphere

here and the staff build really good relationships with the children and parents. Learning is child led and you can see when you go into the nursery that all the children are engaged with the activities and really enjoy their time here.


The nursery itself is warm, clean and inviting and the outdoors area is brilliant, the food here is great too.


I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery to anyone.

I love this nursery as it is right on my doorstep and fits in well with my working hours. I also love the fact that they can take your children to school also. They have a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy and are also fed well whilst they are in nursery.
The nursery is kept very clean
and to a high standard and all the staff are very friendly and easily approachable if you do come across any problems. The children enjoy how well they get along with everyone and the different activities they can become involved in.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

All of my grandchildren have attended this nursery (my youngest 2 still attend). They have all come on leaps and bounds whilst attending and are so confident! The staff are so helpful and welcoming and always tell us what they've been doing. We get a diary so we can pass messages on to my daughter
when she picks them up from me after work. I've recommended this nursery to lots of other people as I can't fault it.

I can really not recommend this nursery enough. Nothing is too much trouble. They are always willing to go out of their way. The staff really care about the children and know them so well. I would be lost without these great staff.

Fantastic nursery, I wouldn't send my child anywhere else, the staff are caring and always go the extra mile, the nursery is very clean, the management team are always there to help this is definitely the best nursery around.

Love how friendly and committed all the girls are at Holyrood Nursery Swinton. My son loves going here and has a really good relationship with not just his room workers, but all the other staff too! As do I. I'm very happy and feel very comfortable leaving one of my little precious people in their care.

Both of my granddaughters have attended this nursery in the past and my youngest granddaughter still attends the holiday club here. She loves it.


I cannot praise the staff at this nursery enough for their care, attention and professionalism. The manager and her team are a credit to the nursery.

You only have to visit to see how happy the children are and the fantastic facilities they have here.


I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Holyrood Swinton is a fantastic nursery, my Godson attends here and he loves it. The staff are all so welcoming and go above and beyond to care for him. They provide lots of activities for him to do and from the pictures looks like he has so much fun. I also love the new outdoor area.

I was a little nervous about leaving my daughter at nursery as other than when she was a baby I hadn't left her with anyone other than family.
I needn't have worried!
My daughter absolutely LOVES going to this nursery!
The nursery staff are all very caring and welcoming and always have a smile and
a hello for you and your child as you walk through the door!
The way my daughter talks about the nursery staff when she gets home is fantastic, she's really bonded with them and that is important to me as a mother.
The nursery is clean with a wide variety of activities and toys and the outside play areas are brilliant and well used.
The food for the children is healthy and helps my daughter want to make better choices with her food.
The nursery and its staff really give me the feeling that my child is safe and looked after and I am never worried about leaving her there. They have really helped to prepare my daughter for going to school nursery in September and for that I'll be forever grateful!

Our daughter has attended Holyrood Swinton since she was 9 months. She will soon move into pre-school.
Both my husband and I hold the nursery in extremely high regard and could not recommend it more highly.
Our daughter settled straight away and has great relationships with staff. They all know her
by name, even if she has not been directly in their care. The staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming but most of all extremely caring and our little girl loves attending. It's clear to see all the staff love working with children and are always seen interacting and encouraging them.
The management team are very approachable and supportive and deal with any minor issues immediately.
The nursery is open all year round and provides cover between Christmas and new year. The extended hours also offer flexibility for parents.
Overall the team do an absolutely magnificent job and we thank them for the dedication, commitment and passion they put into looking after our girls.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to Holyrood, it's a lovely friendly nursery and the staff are all really professional, they make the children feel comfortable and safe. Meal times are all home made meals to a high standard and the children can have more if they want, I'm 100% happy with my choice
to put my daughter in this nursery :)

I would thoroughly recommend this nursery to family and friends. It has a very friendly atmosphere, the staff are amazing with the children and there are lots of activities for the children to do. This nursery is fab!!! All 3 of my children have attended Holyrood Swinton, with my youngest still attending. She absolutely loves all the staff that work here and has a special bond with her key person. The nursery is excellent for my daughter's care, and the manager and her team are always willing
to help out and go above and beyond.


This is such a well managed and organised nursery that has the home from home feel as soon as you walk through the door. It has excellent facilities, it is clean, staff are friendly, menus are nutritious, the manager is professional and makes time to come and speak and say hello to my daughter, there is an amazing spacious outdoors for all age groups - I could carry on all day with all the positives. If you're looking for a nursery place, Holyrood Swinton is the place to go!!! I feel it's the best decision I made sending my children here.

This nursery is fab!! I cannot praise them enough. There are a lot of nurseries in the area, but this was by the far the best, very big and spacious with a great staff team. This nursery should be outstanding. Yes there have been a few minor issues, but these were dealt with professionally and very
