Holyrood Nursery Swinton is proud to be graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted in May 2018.

Holyrood nursery provides care for children from birth to five years of age throughout six large playrooms that are age-appropriate.

Each room provides quality resources in a stimulating environment. The nursery also has two rooms in which carers provide wrap-around care for a local school and a holiday club for children aged four to 11-years-old.

Holyrood also has a large outdoor space that has a sand and mud pit alongside a water pump that the children love to play with on a daily basis.

The nursery chef has been working with Holyrood since December 2005. Alongside making yummy food, she also enjoys covering in the rooms and her 'Cooking with Cath' sessions.

Children are central to all that staff do here so to make sure of this the nursery has a children’s committee, this allows the children to participate in decisions that will affect them at nursery.

The entire key person planning is based on the unique child principle taken from the EYFS document and this allows professionals to cater for and develop the child’s individual needs.

Holyrood provide a range of session patterns to suit all childcare needs including variable sessions, extra sessions and full-time discount.

Our youngest attends Holyrood Nursery Swinton, the eldest also went.
It is a fantastic Nursery, staff and management are approachable, professional and friendly! Any issues raised are dealt with efficiently.
Both our girls love their time at Nursery and form close bonds with their key workers starting
from when they were 8 months old. They are excellent dealing with children when they are poorly (as we well know) and supported us as a family!!
Fantastic chef as well, my girls love Nursery meals.

My child has been at Holyrood since May 2015 since she was 8 months old. She has gained so much from going to Holyrood Swinton, she's a very confident polite child.
I can't recommend them enough! My daughter enjoys her time there while mummy is at work. In fact, when I collect her from her half-day
sessions I struggle to get her out! She loves it that much. All the staff are nice, friendly, polite and encouraging.

My child loves attending this nursery, all the staff are like family very caring, overall 10/10.
My child has gone through the baby room all the way to preschool. Lots of activities throughout the nursery where fees are included, very good nursery setting. Well worth its money. Thank you, Holyrood

Friendly helpful staff. Handy and convenient as they take my son to his school and pick him up again afterwards. He has been there since he was six months old and the team have watched him grow up and is currently at the before and after school clubs.

Holyrood Nursery Swinton is an amazing nursery. My nephew attends there now and my daughter did also prior to starting primary school. The staff are friendly, helpful and wonderful with the children. My 3 yr old lad absolutely loves going to Holyrood Swinton. All the staff are very friendly and informative about the progress my lad is making on a daily basis. The play areas are excellent as are the rooms where the kids are looked after. My lad especially likes the guy who comes and teaches them
how to learn football skills and also walking to the local library with his new friends.
I would recommend this nursery to any parents looking for top-notch childcare. 10/10.

I had looked around a number of other nurseries, which I wasn’t happy with before I went to look around Holyrood. I was instantly made to feel at ease around the nursery by the professionalism of both the management and staff team. Both my sons settled really quickly into the setting and I was happy
to leave them in the capable hands of the nursery staff. The cleanliness and orgasation of the rooms stood out from the other nurseries I had visited. I was confident both my sons were well occupied with a full range of activities prepared for each day. The meals they had were very varied and nutritious.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 5 months old and loves it every time he comes. He is now 6 years old and often attends the school holiday club. Most of the staff have seen my son grow and we have very fond memories of his time at Holyrood. We can’t recommend Holyrood enough. It is a lovely,
clean, modern nursery with great staff from the manager, all the girls and the cook!

My grandson started Holyrood Swinton in January this year aged 9 mths, after spending all of that time mainly with mum he settled in really well within the first week. All the staff in the baby room were very welcoming and made mum really feel at ease in leaving him.
He really enjoys his time there
playing with all the other children. He loves being able to wander around the room exploring all the toys and activities that are available.


The nursery provides a well-balanced menu, providing all dietary requirements to suit individual needs.
All members of staff are always very friendly and inviting when you arrive, especially the management team.
It is a very home from home, family-like setting.
I can't wait for him to be able to walk unaided so that he can go outside and explore all the outdoor activities.
