The Village Nursery is based in Lees Village, within the Oldham area. The setting is a purpose-built building, established in 2014, and has recently had a refurbishment in 2025/26.
The Village Nursery, is part of the MiChild Group, a group which currently has 14 settings across the North West. The MiChild Group has been awarded 'Top 20 Large Nursery Group' every year since 2021 by DayNurseries, and has won awards at the NMTs in 2021, 2023 and 2024!

The Nursery Team is made up of caring, dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic staff, who deliver tailored care, support and encouragement to children on a daily basis. The newly refurbished environments are perfect for children to explore, play and learn. The Village Nursery follows the MiChild Group's bespoke Early Years Framework, and provides tailored support to children to ensure they thrive and reach their full potential.
The Nursery has 4 garden spaces. The ground floor rooms have direct access to their own garden space, with an additional communal garden space for all of the children to access.

The Nursery offers funded-childcare places available for children aged 9-months, two, three and four-year-olds. There is a wide variety of sessions for parents, with a range of working patterns such as Term-Time only sessions or All Year Round care. Settling in sessions for children are included, to ensure that your child has the best possible start to their Nursery journey.

Noticed that my child is very happy every time she comes home from nursery. She started to talk about playing different activities outside with other children. Our Daughter has come on leaps and bounds since joining the Village Nursery. All the staff are lovely and are great with her. Even on days when she is teething, they know how to comfort her. They are fantastic with giving us updates via the app throughout the day which gives us peace of mind that our
daughter is happy and content. I would definitely recommend the Village Nursery to anyone thinking of applying for their child.

My 3 year old daughter attended this nursery over the past few months and she absolutely loved it, the staff are lovely and help in every way they can. She loved the staff and all the activities they would also do with her. I also liked that they sent you regular updates via the app of what your child
is doing. Would recommend this nursery to anyone that was looking to send their child/children here.

My son hasn’t been at the Village Nursery for long but already we have seen him develop so much and feel a big part of that is down to his time at nursery. The Village Nursery seem to offer numerous different activities to stimulate the children and it’s really nice having regular observations to see
how our little one is doing. Additionally, the staff are all really supportive and accommodating of any requests we have.

My son is in his last year at nursery and has attended this nursery since he was 9 months old, and we couldn't have picked a better nursery. The staff are friendly, professional and go beyond the call of duty for not only the children, but the parents as well, especially during Covid times. My son loves
the staff and the setting. He has learnt so much from attending here. I would recommend here to anyone. I will be sad when September comes around and he has to move on, as will he.

This is the third nursery I've tried, as my two children used to always cry going to nursery. The village in Lees is the only nursery I've taken them where they aren't having to be peeled off me and taken in crying. My kids love it here and now my eldest even does the afterschool club because she loves
it.

Both my children are at the Village Nursery. It is an excellent nursery and we are very happy with it, as are our children. The staff are amazing and treat your child like their own. The building itself is great with lots for the kids to do both inside and in the outdoor area. They update on each child
via the app religiously throughout the day. The food they give is great too and they actually get my son to eat it, which is more than what we can do at home! We love it here and our children will both be going until they are in school, even then we will be utilising the out of school clubs because we love it so much.

My daughter (and myself) absolutely love this nursery. In fact, she cries when I go to pick her up! She has made close relationships with the staff members, which is lovely to see. The staff and manager, are very personable and warm. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they genuinely enjoy their
job, which makes it much easier and more comforting for a parent, to know she is going into a positive environment. I love keeping track of my daughter’s day on the app and receiving posts from the nursery relating to the activities she is doing and how that relates to her early learning.

My Grandson attends four days a week and is with a very lovely staff member. I love how enthusiastic she is, she obviously cares for the children in her care and my grandson absolutely adores her. The app keeps me up-to date with everything he’s doing and how he’s getting on. I was a little uneasy about
him going to nursery at only 9 months old but on my collect days, I see how happy and settled he is. He learns something new every day and is taken excellent care of. All the staff are very friendly, especially the nursery manager who always has a smile at the door and they all know exactly who I am there to collect. At collect, I’m told everything about his day and it’s obvious he’s enjoyed himself doing activities he would be unlikely to do at home. I would happily recommend this nursery to anybody looking for a warm, safe, fun and educational environment for their children.

Each morning my little girl is greeted at the door and gives them a big smile to start the day. She toddles into nursery without looking back at me or even saying bye, as she's so happy to arrive!

My daughter absolutely loves this nursery. I know this because she is forever talking about the staff and her friends. Since starting here, she has developed so much; just watching her play at home she mimics her days at nursery, only she plays the teacher this time, and her dolls are the children.
I have been considering starting my little boy, and with him being so young, I have no doubt whatsoever that he will get the best care at The Village Nursery.
I was so nervous when my daughter started, I wanted to know everything she was doing in her day and the nursery didn’t disappoint. When collecting my child from nursery, I was told everything before I even asked, and that to me was so important! Also, they have an app that I can check during the day to see what she has eaten and how much, the food is always different and sounds lovely, this helps me plan her meals at home around what she has eaten during the day. Thank you to all the staff for your amazing care and brilliant facilities!
