The Village Nursery is based in Lees Village, within the Oldham area. The setting is a purpose-built building, established in 2014, and has recently had a refurbishment in 2025/26.
The Village Nursery, is part of the MiChild Group, a group which currently has 14 settings across the North West. The MiChild Group has been awarded 'Top 20 Large Nursery Group' every year since 2021 by DayNurseries, and has won awards at the NMTs in 2021, 2023 and 2024!

The Nursery Team is made up of caring, dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic staff, who deliver tailored care, support and encouragement to children on a daily basis. The newly refurbished environments are perfect for children to explore, play and learn. The Village Nursery follows the MiChild Group's bespoke Early Years Framework, and provides tailored support to children to ensure they thrive and reach their full potential.
The Nursery has 4 garden spaces. The ground floor rooms have direct access to their own garden space, with an additional communal garden space for all of the children to access.

The Nursery offers funded-childcare places available for children aged 9-months, two, three and four-year-olds. There is a wide variety of sessions for parents, with a range of working patterns such as Term-Time only sessions or All Year Round care. Settling in sessions for children are included, to ensure that your child has the best possible start to their Nursery journey.

Both my children currently attend the village nursery and they both love to go. They each have strong connections with their key workers, who go above and beyond for them. All stay a very lovely and easy to talk to. The setting is always clean with lots of different activities to suit different child's
needs and encourages them to participate in group activities. The setting also has a large outdoor space perfect for sunny days

My daughter loves going to nursery every week and especially getting to see her favourite staff members when she arrives. Everyone is always so attentive and happy to see all the kids that come through the door. Each week, my child comes home more and more confident and always learns something new.

My daughter really loves going to nursery and that is so important to us! The food is so varied and they do lots of activities and always ensure the children go outside! Staff are so friendly and helpful and the management team are always so supportive.

My son started in January and has settled in really well. The staff go above and beyond for him to settle, which is what you want as a parent. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, which is lovely and reassuring.

My daughter has been attending The Village Nursery since she turned one, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. She absolutely loves it and has formed such a wonderful bond with two ladies in particular, who are both fantastic. It's amazing to see how much she has developed in such a short time.
She always comes home happy and excited.
As an anxious mother, leaving her in someone else's care was a big step, but the team has made it so much easier. Their regular updates give me so much reassurance, and I truly feel that she is in the best hands. The manager is also incredibly helpful and friendly.
One of the things that really stands out about The Village Nursery is how all the staff, even those who don't work in my daughter's room, know her by name. It's such a warm and welcoming environment, and it's clear that every member of the team genuinely cares about the children.
I'm so grateful to have found such a fantastic nursery, and I can't recommend them enough!

I cannot recommend Village Nursery enough! The staff are absolutely amazing, very warm and welcoming, they take pride in their work and give the children so much support. My daughter is 14 months old and has been at the nursery around 2 months, she has developed so much since starting with The Village
and really enjoys her time there.

Hands down the best nursery! My partner and I visited several nurseries in the area but this nursery really stood out above the rest. My son has been with the village for 16 months, in which time he has developed considerably! Particularly his speech in recent months. The staff are brilliant with him
and he really never wants to come home. The food menu is very varied and my son never leaves a crumb. The manager is also very accommodating when needing to arrange days, with advance notice. She is also proactive in caring for the children. The nursery always participates in significant activities events such as Children in Need, Halloween, Easter, Christmas, and other religious festivals, demonstrating diversity. Highly recommend!

All staff are super friendly and supportive, my child struggles with new people and doesn't always like it when I leave but they will reassure him and quickly engage him with an activity he likes to help him feel comfortable. All staff greet the children by name even if they're not in their room/age
group. The food at lunch is really varied and my child always finishes their plate. The activities are also so varied my child loves seeing what is on offer each day.

I simply cannot praise this nursery enough. My son started here and was a very shy child. With him being a "lockdown baby" he wasn't very sociable, very shy and rarely spoke due to a lack of interaction with children of the same age. After attending this setting for merely a few weeks his speech, social
and interactions has vastly improved. This is due to the caring and attentive staff at the nursery. They go above and beyond to help in any way possible. I would highly recommend this nursery setting to any parent looking for a good quality start to their child's education.

My two girls have been going to this nursery for roughly 15 months, they love going into nursery each morning and always come out with a big smile. The staff is fab! Cannot thank them enough for what they do. Lovely nursery, lovely staff.

My son's nursery closed down and I was anxious about sending him somewhere new, due to his additional needs, but I couldn’t have chosen a better nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming and are all so good with the children. Nothing is too much trouble. My son loves coming to nursery!

Moved my 1-year-old son from another nursery into this one. Really feel like I made the right decision.
The staff seem to genuinely care about the kids and are friendly and easy to approach with any questions.
My son seems to have really come along with some of his milestones since he's been attending.
Also, I feel like they've identified where he was a little behind and helped him improve in these areas. He's also improved on his eating and seems to be eating a lot more variety than I've ever been able to get him to at home. Every morning, when we're walking in, my son is smiling before he's even seen any of the staff members and always gives whoever answers the door a big grin. I'm very confident that he's happy there. I also like the fact that they seem to spend a lot of time outdoors and whenever I go, there are kids playing outside. All in all, my baby has been attending for around three months now, and I have had no complaints and am very happy with our experience thus far.

Noticed that my child is very happy every time she comes home from nursery. She started to talk about playing different activities outside with other children. Our Daughter has come on leaps and bounds since joining the Village Nursery. All the staff are lovely and are great with her. Even on days when she is teething, they know how to comfort her. They are fantastic with giving us updates via the app throughout the day which gives us peace of mind that our

My 3 year old daughter attended this nursery over the past few months and she absolutely loved it, the staff are lovely and help in every way they can. She loved the staff and all the activities they would also do with her. I also liked that they sent you regular updates via the app of what your child
is doing. Would recommend this nursery to anyone that was looking to send their child/children here.
