Shine A Light Day Nursery

Our daughter has been going to the nursery since September and we couldn’t be happier with the decision of choosing Shine A Light. All of the staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome from the moment you enter! The children are their utmost priority and our daughter loves her time there every single week. When I returned back to work, it was quite a daunting feeling with our daughter starting nursery at the same time but all of the staff put our minds at ease which comforted us and made the transition a lot easier. The facilities are fantastic and they truly care about the development of each child. it reallW does feel like a family with the environment which has been created and they are there to talk each night on pick-up about the exciting things the children have been up to throughout the day. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

They always help to accommodate my needs as best as they can. They check up regularly on my child when he is off poorly. They go that extra mile.

My child has been attending Shine A Light Nursery since 2022. And she loves every day she's there. The staff across all rooms and in the management team have a genuine passion for their work and all the children they care for. The support for my child as she settled in to nursery and through all her transitions has been excellent and the staff show true empathy and care. They have always taken the time to understand her personality and work with her to encourage her development. They always go the extra mile to provide fun activities that support her development and interests. The atmosphere at the nursery is always friendly and calm and I feel confident that my child is safe and cared for.

Fantastic nursery and wonderful staff. A really lovely atmosphere and all of the staff know all of the children well. They are busy doing fun activities all day and learning lots. Handovers are always very detailed and personal. Cannot recommend Shine A Light enough.

Having experienced a number of issues with our first child's first nursery, we were thrilled to find Shine a Light, who offered a much more caring and diligent approach to looking after our child. This brought us the reassurance we needed that he was safe and well at nursery. They have genuinely passionate culture from the top down, which is evidenced by the outcomes and achievements made by the children. We have since sent our second child to Shine a Light and wouldn't hesitate to send a third. Thanks to the manager, deputy manager and all the team.

My daughter has been going to Shine A Light since September, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to send her here. I want to really highlight how amazing the staff are! They take extremely good care of the babies/children and really care so much about the families too. I can fully trust each and every person to take care of my baby girl, and they share the joy with you when your baby meets a milestone or even on their way to doing so. They make sure to do a wide range of activities to really help with development, and she’s always thoroughly entertained throughout the day. They always keep you updated on meals, nappy changes etc putting you at ease. Also, I want to highlight how amazing the chef is, my daughter always enjoys the food! It’s like a home away from home for my little one. I can’t think of any faults. 100% recommend.

Outstanding and more for us!

My son has been going to Shine A Light for almost a year now, and I couldn't think of anywhere better for him to attend. All the staff are absolutely fantastic. They care so much about the children as well as our families. I really couldn't praise them enough. My son has developed so well since starting, and I know he will continue to thrive while he is there.

An amazing nursery that is made even better with the thoughtful, hardworking and dedicated staff. Such a wonderful atmosphere and always so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone has taken the time to get to know our family, especially our little girl, who gets the best care when she attends. She looks forward to going, and I struggle to get her to leave at the end of the day! As a shy and reserved child, she has really come out of her shell and has friends and fantastic relationships with staff. She is happy and confident, and that really puts me at ease knowing the staff know her so well, and the love and care for her just makes me so reassured and comfortable leaving her. We drive past several nurseries that are closer to home to bring our little one here and also have chosen this nursery over the nursery that our son attended a couple of years ago due to being so impressed by the setting and wonderful staff. Would recommend it to anyone in the local area (and have)!

Absolutely amazing nursery. We couldn’t have picked a better nursery. My son loves it, is excited to go in the morning and is always smiling on pictures sent throughout the day. It’s never easy leaving your child and putting the trust in someone, but the staff are so amazing with the children; it really does put you at ease.

We love Shine A Light Day Nursery so much! Our daughter is extremely happy there and she is well cared for. She has developed so much over the past year and enjoys going into the nursery in the morning. The staff are so enthusiastic and passionate - they really make an effort to get to know your child and how to support them. The range of activities is brilliant and we love the Famly app and seeing photos during the day to keep us going whilst at work. It feels like a community. We wouldn’t take our daughter anywhere else!

Absolutely amazing nursery. Every staff member is very welcoming and warm, which makes my partner and I very comfortable leaving our son in their care. It is evident that the staff have good childcare knowledge and take time to get to know each child individually. Overall, this nursery is a wonderful place and the perfect start to a little one’s life.

My daughter is always happy to go to the nursery, and everyone I speak to loves this nursery. The staff are lovely as well as the manager. The staff speak really highly of the manager and seem to love their job. The nursery is well-organised, and the children have lots of room to explore.

The manager and the team are there for the parents just as much as the children, and I cannot thank them enough for their continued support!

I couldn’t imagine my children going anywhere else. The staff are just so lovely and care about each and every child and their development. The owner of the nursery is amazing and cares about all the children, the parents and the staff.

My daughter loves coming here and is asking all the time to come - even at the weekend. The staff are amazing, and all genuinely love what they do! My little girl is coming on so much in her development, and at three, can even tell you what transparent means because of the amazing work the staff here do. Shine a Light really is like a second home to our little girl, and we can not thank the staff enough for the amazing work they do.

My little girl absolutely loves coming to Shine a Light and has come on leaps and bounds since being here, being given the opportunities to thrive in her development. All of the staff are so welcoming and are always willing to help with any questions/needs/worries you may have, putting you at ease and doing so with a smile on their faces! The bond my little girl has with the girls in her room and other staff throughout the nursery is amazing, and there is genuine love being given to her on a daily basis; it really is a home from home. I could not choose a better nursery for my child to attend!

I can't stress enough how amazing this nursery is! Our little boy had previously attended another nursery, where he was very unsettled and his needs weren't being met. I can't put into words how nice it is to go to work and not have to feel sick with worry because I know he is so much happier and content. The staff, from the management to all the lovely ladies are so warm and welcoming; it just feels like an extension of our home. We've really learned the hard way how difficult it can be to trust a childcare provider, but Shine A Light is so much more than that. They understand our quirky little boy just as much as we do; they meet his needs and then some! We trust them completely. We have seen such a big positive change in our son in such a short space of time. He adores all the lovely ladies, who always talk about him in such a lovely light, and we just know that they genuinely care about him just as much as we do! I don't think we could ever thank you all enough!

As soon as we viewed the nursery, we instantly felt comfortable and knew my child would love it here. We find all the staff attentive and friendly, and I am confident that they look after my child like their own. They do so many activities to progress learning and have lots of messy fun, which you wouldn’t do at home. My child loves it. The manager has been very accommodating to our individual needs with working patterns, and I couldn’t ask for more. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing childcare.
