Shine A Light Day Nursery

I was so worried about my little girl starting nursery but shining a light put me at ease, she absolutely loves going and her face lights up when we pull up in the car park. The staff treat you like family and make you feel so welcome. Nothing is ever too much and I feel so at ease if I have any queries or questions etc. I definitely recommend this nursery as leaving your baby is one of the hardest things to do. Thank you for everything.

Amazing nursery, every single member of staff are just lovely, so child-focused and kind and communication from them about my daughter is brilliant. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the setting. I'd recommend Shine A Light to everyone.

Shine A Light Nursery has been so so wonderful at looking after my little boy. I was really nervous about going back to work and leaving him but they were so reassuring and have always sent me lovely pictures and updates on how he was getting on. It's so lovely and heartwarming to see another person love your child as much as you do and that's what all the ladies do. I feel completely comfortable and reassured knowing that my little boy is well looked after and cared for as if he was at home with us. I know he has so much fun with the ladies and all the other children but had also come on leaps and bounds with his milestones. Thank you so much Shine A Light.

Shine A Light Day Nursery has been amazing since day one. I'm so glad my little girl has attended here, she's been so looked after, nurtured and taught throughout all her stages from starting at 9 months old to now nearly 4. The staff give 100% to all the children and parents. Parents are well informed using the app and in person when briefed each night on pick-up. The staff know each child on such an individual basis you just know everyone is happy to be there. I am never worried about leaving my child and even on days when upset I just know within minutes they know how to settle her and she's happy playing. Management has always given that personal touch and has been great to reassure me throughout transitions etc. and I had nothing to worry about. The food at the nursery is great and my little girl loves all the meals and where possible has adapted to my child's requirements. The setting is very clean and always well-maintained. Could not recommend Shine A Light enough.

A happy and friendly group of staff who go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable leaving them with your child. Great facilities which are always kept as clean as possible. Everything from nutrition to activities is logged which is nice to look at while you're at work.

I can not honestly describe how much this nursery has changed my and my daughter's life. They take such care in bringing up children like they are their own. My daughter has excelled since being at this nursery and the girls are amazing! My daughter has been in and out of the hospital and the staff have supported us through everything even allowing my family to park there when visiting the hospital. They have such high standards and I can't thank everyone enough for the effort they put into each child.

This nursery is by far the best around. The staff are caring and so easy to talk to, you can really see that they care about all of the children. I had a lot of anxiety sending my daughter to nursery due to her complex needs and the use of an oxygen tank, but I have full confidence in their care. The staff ensured they did relevant training and carried out care plans and risk assessments to make sure that our child had the best care, and that is exactly what she gets! Both of my children attend this nursery and both have come on so much, they understand each of their needs and provide a nurturing environment.

Great nursery, all the staff are very welcoming and have helped our little boy settle in. Our son loves going to nursery and it is nice to know he is in a safe place with great people looking after him.

Shine A Light is an excellent nursery, they provide a loving nurturing environment for my baby, he has thrived within this setting. I highly recommend this nursery for the quality of care given to the children and the communication between staff and parents is exemplary.

This nursery is amazing and all staff are brilliant with my little girl! My daughter has settled in so well in the toddler room and has come on so much since starting! All staff look after her so well and our little girl loves going! Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. Thank you all!

What a wonderful welcoming homely nursery! My twin 3 year olds have settled in brilliantly thanks to all the lovely staff here. One of my girls is quite shy and takes a while to settle into new environments and with new people but it took her no time at all to get comfortable here. We leave our girls knowing they're going to have a fab day and will be safe and very well cared for.

From the moment our child did the settling-in days we knew it would be the best place, she settled in so well and continues to thrive each and every day, all the activities they do and all the photos we get sent add that extra special touch. Our child has amazing relationships with all the staff in her room as well as staff in other rooms, All staff are always so pleased to see her in the mornings which makes dropping her off so much easier. My child is always happy going in too! The staff will go above and beyond for your child and I can’t recommend Shine a Light enough. They are an amazing team, each and every member. Thank you for looking after our baby!

Since my son started here he has absolutely loved his time at Shine A Light. The staff are excellent and are always keeping us up to date on his development. His development seems to have come on very quickly. He is now walking and loves interacting with other children. The girls who look after him are fantastic. They always answer the door with big happy faces and my son can’t wait to get in. Highly recommend this nursery. Thank you all for looking after my little boy and making his time there as fun as possible.

We cannot fault this nursery, the staff and management are amazing, so lovely and kind. They are always accommodating with requests for extra days and will always help in any way they can. You can tell all staff genuinely care about the children and the parents, all of the staff know every child’s name and vice versa - which makes moving up rooms a breeze for the children! All in all they are a fantastic nursery, with amazing ethics and the love they have for the children shines through! Never change.

I would recommend Shine A Light Nursery to anyone. The nursery has helped my child with his speech delays and I have seen a massive improvement in my child. My son has settled in well with no issues at all from day one. He is so happy to go to nursery. I am so happy that he was able to get a place there. It was recommended to me by one of my work colleagues. We will miss the nursery when he starts school. Best decision we made. We are grateful for all the things they do for our child.

I have been using the nursery since Covid and I would recommend to anyone. My children have thrived here and I have no worries leaving them in the care of the nursery. The staff are all amazing and the owner has put a great deal of effort into making it the best nursery around. The children get plenty of outdoor play and a variety of fun activities to do inside. You are always updated each day on the online app and the staff takes care of telling you about your children when picking them up. The nursery is clean and secure and the staff are all friendly and approachable. Brilliant nursery.

Shine A Light is a brilliant nursery. The staff are so lovely and I feel so happy to leave my daughter in their care. The environment is so welcoming and the food provided is varied, balanced and healthy.

The staff across all areas are so friendly, they put you at ease and nothing is too much trouble for anyone. Everyone has a constant smile on their faces and you can tell they all thoroughly enjoy their job and are passionate about childcare. Our son is absolutely thriving at Shine A Light and I wouldn’t trust anywhere else to have him. He loves his days in nursery and you can tell all the children are number one priority to the staff. They keep you updated on the app and give you an insight into what your child has been doing throughout the day on pick-up. We would highly recommend Shine A Light to anyone wanting their child to be spending time at a home-from-home establishment.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Wonderful staff and the kids are all so happy. I couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving my two and three-year-old there. The kids are always doing so many different activities and they have come on leaps and bounds since attending. Keep up the good work everyone!
