Alfie started at Shine a Light just after his first birthday. In the beginning, he found it a little difficult to settle, but the team were so reassuring, sending us regular updates and photos throughout the day, which really put our minds at ease. Whenever I phoned to check in, they were always kind and understanding. All of the staff are so lovely, and I feel confident knowing Alfie is in safe and caring hands. He's now 18 months old and absolutely loves nursery. We're so glad we chose Shine a Light!

As first-time parents, we honestly didn't know where to start - but since joining Shine A Light, our son has come on leaps and bounds. His biggest milestone so far has been learning to use the toilet, and we are beyond proud of his independence. All the ladies in the room worked tirelessly, encouraging him every step of the way and supporting us as parents with daily reassurance. The moment he was celebrated as Star of the Week for his achievement was incredibly special for our family. We are so grateful to have found a place that feels like a second home for our child. Shine A Light is more than just a setting - it's a family. A family who shares in your highs and lows, offers a shoulder to cry on, brings joy through laughter, and, most importantly, listens. Thank you, Shine A Light team, for making our son's journey so happy and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better start.

My son has attended Shine A Light Day Nursery for the past twelve months & we couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. From my son's very first day, the staff have been nothing short of incredible with him & have offered us as parents so much support, from the big hugs and reassurance during those first few emotional weeks of settling in, to the daily updates & frequent catch-ups that we have a year down the line. My son has suspected SEN needs & we have received the most amazing support from nursery, especially Emily the SENCo lead. They have listened to our concerns & put plans in place to help my son to tackle difficult behaviours, made referrals for SALT & autism assessments, & more generally become a huge part of our lives. If you're looking for a nursery with staff who genuinely care about your child's happiness & wellbeing, you won't find better. Words alone can't express what they have done for my son's development & for us as a family, we would be lost without them.

We are so happy we found shine a light day nursery! The nursery came highly recommended by close friends whose children already attend and we now know first hand why! Our little one absolutely loves attending and settled in almost immediately. All the staff are wonderful, so caring and attentive; they really do go above and beyond! Communication is fantastic and we are updated throughout the day on meals, naps, nappies and are even sent photos through the app so we can see what's she's been up to and how much fun she is having! All members of the team are friendly and approachable. You can tell how passionate they all are about what they do and it shows! We're so grateful for everything they do for us and our little one; we have the utmost confidence in her care and feel at ease when she attends. Thank you to all the team!

Our son started at Shine a Light at the end of July this year, in 5 short weeks he has settled in amazing and is so happy to go in to nursery now. This wouldn't be possible without the work of the amazing team at Shine a Light who do everything they can do to make his life more comfortable and keep him happy and engaged. The nursery setting is engaging, clean and a fun space for our son to be in. They have a range of areas for him, including a sensory den, a yoga room, an amazing outdoor area and cosy places to sit and read a book. The food menu looks delicious and extremely nutritious, perfect for baby led weaning. The staff are always so welcoming and professional, which when you are a new mum who is returning to work, is exactly what you need to put your mind at rest leaving your child at nursery all day! I can't praise the nursery and their staff enough for their kind and compassionate natures, it's clear to see how amazing they are with how much our son loves his days at nursery.

My baby boy started his journey at Shine A Light Nursery two weeks ago. As this can be an apprehensive time for both him and us as his parents, I have been overjoyed that he has settled in so well. The ladies at the nursery have helped to ease this transition and make it so much smoother for us all. The communication has been great, we receive constant updates throughout the day on the app, which I have found invaluable. At drop off and pick up, the staff are happy to ask us questions and fill us in on how the day has been. They take a genuine interest and care in the babies and provide a nurturing environment. My baby has been comforted when needed and provided a safe space for him away from home. As a teacher, I have loved seeing all of the activities he has taken part in as part of the curriculum. The nursery manager and owner are always so welcoming on Reception and also ask about how my little boys day has been.

We are so happy with shine a light, they helped with our little one settling in and went with her pace. Their communication is great and the regular updates on the app really help with us feeling confident in their care of her. Our little girl loves going into nursery, the staff are so child focused and offer her lots of cuddles through the day. The meal plan is amazing and I think it's great that they offer a vegan menu to suit all dietary needs. They offer so many activities she's so busy and they are keen to know her interests and let her do what she enjoys. Once you visit this nursery you will see how amazing they are, we could not be happier.

My son has been at Shine a light nursery for 4 weeks now, and he is absolutely loving it, we get regular updates throughout the day and pictures which is so reassuring that he is settled. The staff are great and friendly and we have had another brilliant experience here, thank you everyone xx

Shine a light nursery is really my child's second home. Staff are genuinely caring, friendly and showing special interests of kids at heart. The updates and photos of his on the app and in person really brighten up our day. He eats healthy meals and snacks as well from there. I find management very approachable and no difficulties. Highly recommended.

We couldn't be happier that our little boy attends this amazing nursery. We was nervous initially sending in our little one to the nursery as we didn't know what to expect or how he would react, the nursery staff supported him to settle into the class in such a positive way. Their warm welcomes in the morning to the constant updates throughout the day with photos made us feel at ease, knowing he was in such a safe nurturing environment. The food choices the children get are great, our little boy has come on leaps and bounds with the variety of foods he will eat. Thank you to all the staff for being so warm and friendly.

Our little boy has been at Shine a Light for 3 years and is almost ready to leave Pre School having joined the baby room at 1 years old. The care he has received has been exemplary & we couldn't have asked for more. We will all be really sad when he leaves in September. He absolutely loves it there. Staff members are amazing & go above & beyond to make sure children feel safe & happy. Activities are engaging & varied & keep the children entertained daily. As well as being entertaining they really stretch the children's imagination & ability. Management have been brilliant with us too. They are approachable and accommodating. Communication with nursery is brilliant. We are constantly kept up to date with going's. Staff are always proactive with keeping us in the loop with how our little boys day has been and are always keen to discuss at the end of the day. All in all a great nursery with a wonderful loving atmosphere & an amazing bunch of people. Would recommend in a heart beat.

Shine a light is like a home away from home. All the ladies know each and every child regardless of which room they are based in. Every session we are greeted with smiles and laughter, it is truly a special place! They nurture kind, caring and confident children. Have a clear focus on learning new skills and knowledge through play and for me this setting truly encompasses what the "Early Years" should be! I truly believe the owners passion for early years is what makes this setting what it is and her high expectations has led to All the staff going above and beyond for not just the child but the whole family around them.

After feeling very frustrated looking around many nurseries , I was instantly happy when I found Shine A Light and haven't regretted it since. Clean , therapeutic environment , friendly approachable staff who make an effort to all know your child and their development - updates regularly. My baby is thriving

Shine a Light Day Nursery has been a wonderful choice for my daughters. From the moment we arrived, I felt the warmth and care of the staff, who created a welcoming and safe environment. The activities are both fun and educational, and my daughters are always excited to share what they've learned. The nursery provides a calm, secure atmosphere, and I never worry about their safety or well-being. The facilities are clean, bright, and well-equipped, with plenty of outdoor play opportunities. Communication with parents is excellent, with regular updates on progress. My daughters have grown in confidence and happiness since starting, and I know they are in a place where they are loved and supported. Shine a Light truly stands out, and I couldn't recommend it more highly for any family looking for a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment.

We can not thank Shine A Light enough for making us comfortable to leave our little one in their caring hands. All the staff are amazing, they always make us feel welcome and our little one loves nursery. Our little one tells us all about their day and we get updates throughout the day via the app they use which is so good from receiving pictures to what they have eaten for each meal. Shine A Light Day Nursery has been a wonderful experience for our child. The staff are incredibly lovely and attentive, always making sure each child feels safe and nurtured. My child started at nursery a couple of months ago now. Since starting at Shine A Light all members of staff have been amazing. There is always a member of the management team greeting you with a smile on their face when they greet you at drop-offs and pick-ups. The ladies in the nursery are fabulous with all the children which has made settling into nursery a breeze for my child. You receive updates of what your child is up to during the day with pictures of them which puts your mind at ease that they are having so much fun with the developmental activities that are put on for them. The staff in the room always take the time to inform you of the type of day your child has had at nursery. Overall I have found Shine A Light an amazing nursery for my child and you can really see how passionate all members of staff are for their jobs and to really make nursery the best journey possible for each individual child.

I was so worried about my little girl starting nursery but shining a light put me at ease, she absolutely loves going and her face lights up when we pull up in the car park. The staff treat you like family and make you feel so welcome. Nothing is ever too much and I feel so at ease if I have any queries or questions etc. I definitely recommend this nursery as leaving your baby is one of the hardest things to do. Thank you for everything.

Amazing nursery, every single member of staff are just lovely, so child-focused and kind and communication from them about my daughter is brilliant. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the setting. I'd recommend Shine A Light to everyone.

What an amazing nursery! My daughter started 2 months ago and she absolutely loves it. It's all very daunting for a mother dropping off her first baby at nursery, but they made me feel very welcome as well as my daughter and at ease. All staff are lovely and always have a smile on their face. I know my daughter is in safe hands and I trust them all. Thank you all.
