Holyrood Nursery Shaw

My son has been coming to this nursery for a number of years and is now in the preschool class. He has transitioned from each room with no issues, having frequent and regular visits to his new room and new staff. My son settled in well to each room because the staff are so good at what they do. They do a variety of activities and crafts with the children which often means you have little keepsakes to take home. My son has had numerous positive relationships with staff and often comes home talking about them. The nursery has also facilitated my son to form peer friendships. The nursery are excellent in keeping parents informed of everything that is going on at nursery and will often ring if they need to speak to you for any reason. My son enjoys attending nursery and is achieving his developmental goals with the support of the excellent management and staff at Holyrood Shaw.

This is a fantastic nursey. My daughter only left due to moving house and was too far to travel; I was gutted. The staff are amazing, and she always had a smile on her face at nursey. I would recommend to everyone I know. Thank you for everything you did for her.

My daughter has been with Holyrood Shaw since she was a baby, she is now four, and in the preschool room. I've been thrilled with the care she has received and how the staff have encouraged her development and how her personality has flourished. Staff are always planning fun and educational activities. I know she is well cared for and nurtured. I feel very lucky that our daughter goes to such an excellent nursery.

My daughter started at Holyrood Shaw when she was 9 months and has just moved into preschool and she loves going, there hasn’t been a day that she hasn’t wanted to go. The amount she has learnt and developed throughout her time there is just amazing, I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, all the staff are so welcoming, helpful and go above and beyond for your child’s needs.

My daughter has been going to Holyrood Day Nursery Shaw for nearly a year now and she absolutely loves it. All she talks about are her friends! And she has come on so much since she’s been going there. All the staff are brilliant they will try and do as much as they can for you and they really do care about your child. I would defiantly recommend this nursery.

My son started at the nursery during the Coronavirus pandemic. I had previously viewed the nursery before this but couldn't go into the nursery once he started for social distancing reasons. My son couldn't be happier when we drop him off and pick him up. The staff are so lovely and professional, they look after him so well, giving a daily diary sheet when we collect him. He has developed loads already, including his speech, social awareness skills and confidence. Seeing pictures on the nursery Facebook page is great as you get to see all the activities they involve the children in. I'd definitely recommend the nursery to others.

All the staff at the nursery are so professional, welcoming, kind and extremely supportive with the children and families. I couldn't recommend the nursery enough. Thank you all again.

Holyrood Day Nursery is a fantastic place for a child to learn, I am highly impressed for their standard in child care and teaching. Indeed my family and I will be forever grateful for the kind of positive and developmental knowledge instilled on our son. My son has been attending Holyrood Day Nursery Shaw since he was 8months old. From the day he started, I have never had any issue. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. My son absolutely loves coming here. They do plenty of different activities to keep the kids engaged in learning. We are kept up to date with their developments etc with parents evenings and they even do “stay and play sessions” so you can have an insight into your child’s day. They have lovely rooms and even an outside area which I think is great.

My little boy has recently moved to the Tweenie room from the Baby room (started at the nursery in April ) the difference in him is amazing now he is mixing with some older children. He’s always been a happy little boy but the progress he has made is fab! Just the other day he didn’t want to leave when I picked him up! The staff are brilliant and always helpful if we have any questions, nothing is ever too much trouble.

My son has settled in so well at this nursery and he absolutely loves going. I've felt comfortable leaving him in their care from day 1. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming and my son loves the staff in Tweenies. They do so many fun activities with the children and my son loves the meals. I like that the children have access to an outdoor play area from all rooms too.

I can’t thank Holyrood Day Nursery Shaw enough. My daughter started halfway through the year so only spent 6 months here before she had to go to school. However, she settled so quickly, made lovely new friends and made amazing relationships with the staff. She was made to feel so welcome each and every day by the 3 teachers and always looked forward to her days spent at nursery. She always came home in such a happy, settled mood and talked about her teachers and friends. All the staff on the front desk are always so lovely and welcoming when you first walk into nursery, the nursery is clean and my daughter always enjoyed her meals. My only regret is that we didn’t start her here earlier. We are so sad to see her leave and know she will miss the teachers and her friends. Thank you again so much, but especially to the staff.

I've just picked my daughter up from her final day of nursery ready for her to start school in September. She has loved every minute of attending this nursery since starting last year and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done for her. Every member of staff has been brilliant and all the activities they have done are well thought out and always lots of fun for the children. The Nursery has been amazing from start to finish and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holyrood Day Nursery Shaw to anyone looking for childcare.

Amazing nursery could not be happier to leave my son with such gentle, caring staff who all clearly love what they do. My son is treated as the individual he is and I feel the staff really know him. All staff have been amazing with his eczema needs and his dairy allergy. My sons been going for over a year and has just turned 2, not once do I worry in work if he's okay as I know he's in safe hands. He has flourished at this nursery and I can't recommend this nursery enough.

My eldest attended this nursery and she's now 16 and my youngest who's 3 is currently at the nursery.

The staff have been there since the beginning and they are fantastic, easy to talk to and brilliant with the parents and kids.

All the staff are great and it's always been my 1st choice.

I moved my little boy here after he'd been to two other nurseries in the past and he hadn't seemed happy or settled there. He instantly felt at home at Holyrood. It's a light and bright space, always looks clean and well looked after. The outside space is great and the children love it. There isn't a high turnover of staff and his keyworker has remained the same for the past year 2 years, so I feel like the staff know him really well. The staff are always really pleasant and make a point of saying hello and goodbye to everyone who comes in/out of the door. I've never had any issues at all. I love that they do parents evenings too. Really would recommend. My little boy is leaving in July and I think although he's ready to move on, he'll really miss Holyrood Day Nursery Shaw.

This is an excellent nursery, I am more than happy with the staff are helping both of my children to develop. Both love going to nursery each morning, which gives me a lot of reassurance that they are being treated very well, and are learning lots of new things - its a nice feeling when they learn something at nursery and are able to repeat at home without being prompted.

The nursery staff are extremely friendly and always put us parents at ease when leaving our children,my daughter has learnt a lot of skills for here and enjoys every day spent there, always comes home with a smile on her face!

Since starting at Holyrood in January 2019, my son has come on leaps and bounds. He has a little speech delay at the moment but he has gained so much confidence and the staff have been really supportive with his speech development and he is learning so quick! The staff are very friendly and are more than willing to help and support with any issues or queries. The general running of the nursery is fantastic and is not a let down in the slightest.
