The nursery is amazing both of my children have attended here and I will be sending my daughter when she's old enough, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and my sons have both loved their time here.
My Son has been going to Holyrood for almost 2 years now and it has been an uphill victory every day. Going from a non-verbal 20-month-old to a chatty 3-year-old thanks to the help of the Holyrood staff. They have been patient, kind and consistent with his care and learning. They are always willing to sit down with you and give updates on your child and go above and beyond their duty. I never worry about my son when I leave him at nursery, I know he is in the best hands!
£45 a day is such a large amount of my wage, especially when I am only on National Living wage. I would like my son to come more often but I can't afford him to, so he has to go to family on my other working days. It took my child a long time to settle because there was always different people looking after him.
My little one has developed so much since being at Holyrood and credit to all the staff who have assisted with this. My little one is making friendships, learning and just really enjoys being there. Would highly recommend to any parent looking for a nursery.
My twins started in February and settled in amazingly. The staff are always attentive and I am aware of what they have enjoyed doing during the day. Staff are always approachable in person or on the phone to answer any questions that you have.
All of the staff we have come across are friendly, helpful, and always up to date with what our children have been up to. Examples of this include a menu board for lunch which is particularly helpful when I ask my children what they have had to eat and they say ‘I don’t know’. Any accidents or incidents in nursery have always been completed with an accident form, and we are asked to sign the sheet and obtain a photocopy version for our own keeping. The manager at Holyrood in Shaw is really professional and friendly. All staff in both the toddler and junior room enjoy their jobs, and we always feel comfortable leaving our children behind whilst we go off to work knowing they are in safe and professional hands.
My baby started nursery at 7 months old. I was nervous and anxious at the time with my baby being so young. But all staff are so friendly and reassuring and supportive that it made the process so much easier! My baby settled into nursery so quickly and has come on leaps and bounds since starting! Thanks so much to all the staff!
Since going to the nursery my daughter's speech has amazed me. The things she comes out with and the amount she talks. She loves going and gets excited the night before. Would definitely recommend to other parents/guardians.
My little boy used to cry at drop off, now he runs straight in and gets stuck into all activities. The staff are helpful, informative and really seem to know how to treat my son as an individual, they cater to his needs and preferences. I am very happy we chose this nursery for him.
Holyrood Shaw is a brilliant nursery. They are always friendly, polite and flexible. My son loves it here and so do I. If ever I've had a problem/concern the manager addresses it straight away. My son has learnt so much at this nursery and he's blossomed here. I have even recommended the nursery to my friend who also takes her son here and she loves it too.
I have no faults with the nursery, lovely, friendly staff who are amazing with my child. Excellent food selection also.
Really good nursery. Staff are fab.
My son attends the pre-school room and has settled in very well. He is also eager to go to nursery daily. He enjoys the different activities each day. All the staff are very friendly and caring and always inform us about the daily activities and food my son has had. The environment in the nursery is so clean and welcoming. A big 'well done' to the manager and her team for the excellent support, care and the improvements that are made.
My son has loved being at this nursery. He has come on so much with his learning etc.. The staff are great cannot fault them.
She has made lots of friends and enjoys seeing the staff and talking to them.
The staff are all friendly and will talk to you about how she has been and what she has been doing.
Our son has been at Holyrood since he was 8months old and he is now 3years old and remains very happy and settled.
The nursery is lacking in its 'additional activities'. They used to have dance lessons, visits from outsiders and regular trips out.
Despite huge fee increases these things no longer happen which is a real downside.
They respect my wishes as a parent and I fully trust them with my children. I also have a son in babies and he always holds his arms out for staff to get him as soon as we arrive.
Very happy with the nursery. Children are very happy and content.
My child loves nursery, she enjoys coming and playing with her friends. Staff are lovely too.
Informative and gave a good insight on our son's progress.
