Corner House Trafford believes in seeing children as individuals. Their ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with children and their families. Their teams work closely with the families ensuring they feel confident from the onset, starting with the very first session in their home visits to the personal visits with their Key Person.

The Key person’s role is to support the child and their family as they begin to make relationships within the setting. Information sharing is integral to ensure that staff always provide the best possible experiences for each of them.

The baby unit consists of a beautiful light open environment with immediate accesses a separate garden and baby sleep room. Above all the babies at nursery feel loved and cared for. During this important phase, babies are exploring the world with all of their senses and their whole bodies and so the activities and experiences they plan with the babies support and encourage children’s strong exploratory impulses.

The nursery is purpose-built with specifically designed outdoor areas which naturally encourage the children to independently access both the indoor and outdoor environments. Children’s development and experiences are recorded through the online software (ParentZone). Parents are encouraged to share their child’s interests directly with their Key Person, this is then planned for as part of the child's next step to further support their development.

The nursery's team of cooks work endlessly to provide well balanced nutritional meals for all of the children. Using the Eat Better Start Better guidelines the children enjoy a four weekly menu providing a wide variety of dishes.

The Village Nursery is really nice, it's very homely and all the staff are very friendly and lovely. My little girl started when she was about 8 months and I was very scared at first as you hear lots of bad things about nurseries but from day one all the staff made me feel very relaxed about leaving
her. Her key worker was absolutely fabulous and she really help me trust the nursery also what I found reassuring is that all the staff where very honest so if my little girl had a bad day they would tell me etc that really helped.
As a parent, I know not everyday will be a perfect day so being honest with a parent is one of the most assuring things you can do. The nursery really listen and understand. So for example if your trying a new sleeping pattern or potty training the staff really support you which makes it so much easier for you. I would definitely recommend this nursery. They do so many activities with them and they learn so much and make lots of friends. Such a lovely place!

Sending your baby off to the nursery can be daunting – not just for your child, but also for you as a parent. When my maternity leave came to an end, I was dreading my daughter starting nursery, but The Village helped make the transition easy for us both.


My daughter has now been at The Village for

close to a year and loves it. Her confidence has grown, and she has learnt so much. She loves her toddler room and is excited to be dropped off in the morning. It’s so lovely to pick up a happy but tired little girl at the end of the day and to hear what she’s been up to.


The staff at The Village really do go the extra mile to ensure that the children and their parents feel welcome and comfortable. As a mum, it’s so important for me to know that my daughter is not only getting the best level of care but also that she’s having fun and trusts the people looking after her.


I would certainly recommend The Village to friends looking for somewhere to send their child.

My first child joined at 6 months old over two & half years ago. Since then the whole nursery team have become such a big part of our lives. The commitment & enthusiasm throughout the entire team, from nursery manager to nursery apprentice, is so clear to see. I have really valued their focus on creativity
and imagination as well as all of the usual development milestones. Every single day has been an adventure for my son (and his little brother who joined the nursery last year), whether it be participating in a "bear hunt" roaming around the large garden or cooking up a storm in the mud (or real!) kitchen. It is clear that the management team have created an environment that encourages the team to "think outside the box" and deliver ever more engaging and exciting ways for the children to develop & grow.
As my children attend full time, the parent stay and play sessions have been so lovely to attend as it is a chance for me to really immerse myself in "their world". I just wish I could stay too!

My son attended the Village Nursery from the age of 9 months until he left to go to school. During his time at the nursery, I cannot fault the care, support and nurturing he received. The nursery made us welcome from day one with their rigorous settling in processes, the opportunities to share his experiences
through stay and play sessions and nursery events and the careful consideration for his development. My son enjoyed his time in each age appropriate room and the staff really cared both for and about him. The well-resourced rooms ensured there was plenty of things to engage him and the planned activities were tailored to suit his needs. The outdoor space is amazing and enabled him to learn and experience lots of different things such as planting and growing fruit and vegetables. I cannot recommend The Village Nursery highly enough.

My son started here when he was 10 months old! It was daunting for me but the staff at the nursery made it so welcoming and friendly for me to stay calm on his first day. Ever since his first day, my son runs into the nursery and never wants to come out. Definitely one of the best nurseries I've been

My daughter has been attending The Village Nursery for more than a year now, her settling in period was handled really well, and before I know it, she was running in for some cuddles with her favourite key person. At the beginning she wasn't speaking a lot, but with the support of the practitioners
in her room and their personalised approach in planning next steps for her, she started slowly pronouncing single words, then two word phrases and now speaks freely about all topics she likes. The environments in the nursery are all very inviting and all activities I hear about, that she has taken part in are all very unique. My little girl really enjoys going to The Village Nursery and gets really excited telling me about all the different things she has learnt or explored on the day. The events and the ways the nursery involves me in my daughter's nursery life are outstanding and I really feel involved in my little girl's education.

My grandson attended this nursery for about 3 years until leaving for his new school. I cannot praise the staff enough. The building is purpose built which means that it is perfectly designed as a nursery. It has a wonderful garden and each room is designed for the age group of children within.
My
grandson was always happy; he had wonderfully healthy food; amazing educational opportunities and most important of all a superbly supportive environment. As a grandmother, I was made to feel welcome and I was always kept up to date with his progress. Each member of staff goes above and beyond and they form wonderful bonds with the children. The whole family will miss the nursery.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 6 months old and she now leaving at the end of this Month. There has never been a day that has gone by that she hasn't wanted to go in.
This to me is a testament that she feels safe, secure, happy and content. For any working parent, this eases my
mind to know that she experiences these feelings. After all their happiness in paramount and The Village promote this attitude too.
What I am constantly amazed at is all the staff know all the children's names even if they haven't looked after that child, this too adds to the 'family' feel.
Our time at The Village is drawing to a close, a time of reflection and affection and we'll remember with fondness.

My daughter has attended The Village Nursery since she was 15 months old, she has recently graduated as is starting school. The Village is a great nursery and the staff are amazing. Each key worker we had helped so much with her progression. My daughter is a funny confident little girl and I thank the
nursery for helping with that. Any problems we have had have been sorted straight away I am currently on maternity leave with my 2nd daughter and she will most definitely attend The Village.

It was extremely stressful choosing a nursery but after the initial visit at The Village Nursery I was so sure this is where I wanted my daughter to be. Management and staff are extremely friendly and charming. Each room my daughter has been in there has been a strong bond with her key workers and I
feel her development has been tailored to her needs. I love the fact the nursery is all one level and the outdoor space is great. I commend the staff with all the projects, parents events and nursery functions that are created. I think the nursery cook does a fantastic job and is innovative with different meals and it gives me a peace of mind to know that meals are prepared freshly on site on a daily basis. I feel my daughter's language skills have increased immensely and her transition out of nappies has been smooth thanks to all the staff. She doesn't stop talking about her day, the staff and her friends. I truly appreciate what the nursery has done and I wouldn't have it any different.

I had a visit to The village nursery a year and half ago for our duo. I was quite impressed with the very first visit as this nursery, as I thought, that this is the right place where my kids can get enough place to play both in-door and out-door, have on-site cooked food and be in the hands of some
caring staff. As time passed, I found the staff actually got involved in individual child care depending on the need. The staff are very friendly and they are ready to do anything for a child's development. The wide range of activities that they plan actually are amazing as sometimes they go over their daily schedule to address the needs. I have seen how my duo has grown positively in a childcare environment. Although a bit expensive but I have now developed a family bond with this nursery and I value their suggestions for my kids. I thank the Village Nursery at Trafford for taking care of my kids till now and would expect them to continue doing the same even in future.

Professional, dedicated, imaginative and caring, are just some of the words that I would use to describe the staff and management at The Village. After a disappointing start at a different nursery chain, my daughter started in the Baby Room at just 10 months old. From my very first interaction with
The Village, the Receptionist set the high service standard I had been hoping for. She demonstrated genuine empathy to my situation and promptly arranged for the Manager to contact me. I met with the Manager and Baby Room Supervisor the very next morning, who both restored my confidence in nurseries. Thankfully I was in luck and they had space for my daughter. Through genuine joy to spend time with my daughter over the last 10 months, the staff have helped her wings grow beautifully. I am confident this will continue as she moves in to the Toddler Room.
If you are looking for a childcare provider to take care of your precious child, for all the reasons above, I highly recommend The Village.

My son now 3 years old has been going to this nursery since he was 8 months old, on a full time basis. The care he has received has been first class. I was so worried about leaving him with strangers but almost instantly I realised that the staff were not strangers at all. They were more like family.
My son is excelling in many topics and is extremely clever for his age. He will be leaving for big school soon and I can honestly say I don't want him to leave. Thank you for everything you have done for my boy. I will never forget how amazing all of the staff were and I would recommend this nursery to anyone. I myself will be using them again!

My daughter has attended The Village Nursery since being 10 months old. I have been more than happy with the care she has received. Any time there has been any issues, they have been dealt with swiftly and to my satisfaction. I am currently pregnant with my second child and I will almost definitely
be sending him to The Village. Can't rate the level of care and love they have given her and I'm thrilled she has spent her nursery experience alongside such loving staff.

I highly recommend The Village Nursery. Before our sons first day, we had a home visit from a member of the management team and from his key worker. He also had 2 settling in sessions so when his first day came I felt better and more confident about leaving him.


His 2 key workers have been absolutely

brilliant. So caring, enthusiastic, reassuring and lovely. I have to say though all of the staff I have come across, have been nothing but friendly, warm and supportive.


Our son had such varied days and does some brilliant activities to support his learning and to have lots of fun.


The menu is very good and allergies are very well catered for here. The children are provided with a good variety of food and snacks.


We are emigrating to Australia soon and we feel sad that our son has to say goodbye to some lovely people who have been such a good influence on him. We hope we can find a nursery as good as The Village Nursery over there!

We chose The Village when I was 7 months pregnant to avoid disappointment and get a place! After looking at several nurseries, it had the best feeling when we walked in coupled with the great environment, outdoor space and a wonderful team.


I was apprehensive about leaving my son when I went back

to work after being with him full time for 10 months. He settled in with the team really quickly and is coming up to two years at the nursery. The transition between rooms has been seamless, so much so that it's like nothing has changed, which is very reassuring as it shows how at home he is.


The team go the extra mile making sure that home links are maintained with activities that are centred around them and the events they put on are fantastic, from pirate parties to a traditional cooking event.


We couldn't wish for more for Noah's early years education. Big thanks as always to the team. You all do an amazing job!

The village nursery provides such a stimulating and nurturing environment for my son. I can not praise them enough. As a parent I trust all the carers immensely and won't consider sending my youngest son anywhere else when I return to work from maternity leave. The activities that are organised are
creative and often tailor made to the children's specific interests. The atmosphere is lively, fun and friendly but with a clear focus on how to develop our children in the best possible way. I feel the nursery really goes the extra mile, when getting parents involved in what the children get up to when they are there. I am always particularly impressed with the events the nursery puts on outside of normal working hours.

Our son joined nursery when he was 3, entering straight into preschool. From the very first visit, it was clear that the nursery was different to others I’d visited – bright, cheerful surroundings and lovely, friendly staff who are obviously happy in their jobs and genuinely care about the children
as individuals. The preschool team have made my sons time at the nursery very happy, helping him grow from a shy little boy who barely spoke to a happy, confident and fun-loving child who – most importantly – loves being in nursery and never complains about going. This is due in no small part to their commitment to working with the family as a whole - from the first home visit at the beginning, right the way through to the lovely leavers ceremony for the children moving to school. We will be very sad to leave this summer when our son starts school, but we thank them for everything they’ve done for our son and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.

We love this nursery - particularly for the one-level building and a fantastic outside space. My son loves to be outside - it's perfect for him.


He loves the food and when we pick him up, the staff tell us "he ate all" (everyday!). This is really important for us as he was born with a dairy allergy

and severe re flux, so we were worried about finding a Nursery that could accommodate giving him specialist formula (as a baby) and as he was weaning, providing a healthy and nutritious diet that took into account his allergy. We need not have worried as they were fantastic and took our concerns seriously.


The Nusery runs regular family events and activities - such as the recent 20 year anniversary Carnival party - that the whole family can enjoy.


The nursery staff are great at taking a child centred approach - observing and responding to each child's interest and individual stage of development (eg use of chopsticks after my son first ate with them on holiday).
