Corner House Trafford believes in seeing children as individuals. Their ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with children and their families. Their teams work closely with the families ensuring they feel confident from the onset, starting with the very first session in their home visits to the personal visits with their Key Person.

The Key person’s role is to support the child and their family as they begin to make relationships within the setting. Information sharing is integral to ensure that staff always provide the best possible experiences for each of them.

The baby unit consists of a beautiful light open environment with immediate accesses a separate garden and baby sleep room. Above all the babies at nursery feel loved and cared for. During this important phase, babies are exploring the world with all of their senses and their whole bodies and so the activities and experiences they plan with the babies support and encourage children’s strong exploratory impulses.

The nursery is purpose-built with specifically designed outdoor areas which naturally encourage the children to independently access both the indoor and outdoor environments. Children’s development and experiences are recorded through the online software (ParentZone). Parents are encouraged to share their child’s interests directly with their Key Person, this is then planned for as part of the child's next step to further support their development.

The nursery's team of cooks work endlessly to provide well balanced nutritional meals for all of the children. Using the Eat Better Start Better guidelines the children enjoy a four weekly menu providing a wide variety of dishes.

Our son joined The Village Nursery at 9 months and has loved it from the start. As new parents, we received essential support and advice before our son started nursery. Two staff (one of whom would be his key worker) came to do a home visit which was a great opportunity in our own setting. The settling
in sessions at nursery were a great way to build his confidence and get him into a routine, meeting other children and doing activities. Our son loves nursery and happily gets out of the car, eager to get inside and see what's going on. He has come on so well and his confidence now with other children and adults is fantastic. The staff are brilliant - from nursery nurses to management and cannot do enough for you. Oh and the food menu is incredible. As adults, we arrive at the end of the day and look at the menu with envy.

My son started at The Village when he was one. He is now two and a half and has progressed through three different rooms. We've never had any doubt that we made the right choice for him. Every room that he's been in, he has had great relationships with the staff and they have always encouraged him to
be himself. The updates staff give about his day, along with photos of the activities he's been doing, help us to see the thought that goes into the children's learning and development. Often staff from other rooms will stop to talk to him, they will know about him and his personality, which is just lovely. It's reassuring to know that he's always got someone looking out for him. The key worker scheme is fantastic, having a point of contact for your child is brilliant, and my son has always loved every one of his key workers. My son also has a heart condition and they have always taken it very seriously, which is a huge comfort for us.

My daughter has been at the nursery for six months, in the baby room. The staff are incredible and really go above and beyond, reassuring parents and children alike. My daughter does all different kinds of activities and the staff really take the time to get to know what they like best, this was very
important to me. The food is a very high standard and they have supported my decision to baby-led wean.
The way they have transitioned my daughter to the toddler room has also been outstanding as it takes her a while to bond.
I can not recommend them highly enough!

We had our youngest at The Village Nursery when I first went back to work and since he’s chopped and changed between nurseries due to us moving job locations but when we had our second and the experiences we had faced we realised that The Village was incomparable. The kids love this nursery very much,
the staff are a credit to the nursery including top management who have been amazing for us. Both have come on leaps and bounds as just like that our son goes to primary in September and he’s so ready! Thanks to all the guys at The Village Nursery for cherishing our babies and giving them the best start in life! It’s such a big weight lifted off the shoulders of any parent when you know you get a fantastic quality of care, especially for me being able to work full time without a worry that my babies are in safe hands, educated, fed and most importantly happy, not to mention they are tired when they come home.

Excellent staff knowledge and skills in understanding my child's need. She was settled into nursery very quickly so that I could go back to work. She has learnt so much and developed into a bubbly, energetic little girl. I would highly recommend this nursery.

A truely excellent nursery. My child loves every day spent there and usually doesn't want to leave.
The variety of activities are impressive and my daughter is constantly coming home having learned new words/signs/concepts, she has made friends and has asked to see every staff member she has interacted
with.
I would (and have) recommend The Village for every parent.

We would definitely recommend The Village Nursery, our baby started at 9 months and was always very clingy so I was worried about leaving him but he quickly formed a strong bond with his key worker and has settled in really well.
They keep him busy with lots of different activities and have improved
his eating habits by giving him lots of menu choices that I wouldn't think of at home. We viewed 4 different nurseries and are both very happy that we chose this one.

I am so thankful that we found the Village Nursery. My eldest son was there for 4yrs and my daughter will be staying for the same amount of time.
An incredible team of dedicated staff who constantly strive to improve the care and environment for the children. They are also always available to parents
for advice and support.
My son began school as an incredibly confident, happy and enthusiastic child; this is in no small part, due to his time at the nursery. They helped develop his thirst for learning and encouraged his love of stories and books. The staff are wonderful across all rooms, and our children have been blessed with some exceptional key workers. The management is incredibly supportive and approachable and the fact that they hold on to their staff shows that they know how to listen to them too. The facilities are fab and children are out in the garden whenever possible. I would happily recommend this nursery to any parent wishing to find the best for their child. Outstanding!

Fantastic knowledge of my children, their needs and their routines. Great communication between nursery and home and they build on all of the interests that my girls have at home or any interests they show whilst at the nursery. Great activities like yoga and visits to the library.

I would recommend this nursery without a shadow of a doubt, they helped me get my children in quickly when their previous nursery closed down. I have been through bad times in personal life and they have supported me on that level too, always approachable and understanding. They are fantastic with the
children, both of mine settled in quickly and love it there. Staff are always friendly, food menu is amazing and lots of activities.

Our son attended the village from 9 months old through to 3 years old and we found he received exceptional care from start to finish.
We'd have no hesitation in recommending this nursery and we have friends whose children now go there off the back of our good experience.
Our son is only leaving to
a relocation away from Manchester and we can only hope is next nursery is as good as this.
Highly recommended!

Our little boy started at The Village Nursery shortly after his 1st birthday. Having looked around several nurseries we chose The Village Nursery as we were impressed by the facilities and the happy smiling faces of the children there, who were clearly well looked after.


In the 2 and a half years

he has been there, our little boy has grown from a child who was nervous of others, into a confident, loving little boy who just loves being at nursery. His development is thanks to the staff who I cannot praise highly enough. The Village Nursery is full of amazing people who care passionately about what they do and this is clear to see in all the children. Our son has had some wonderful experiences during his time at nursery. There certainly never seems to be a dull moment at The Village Nursery!


Sadly we are leaving the area so have no choice but to leave The Village Nursery. Any future nursery will have a lot to live up to and if we could take The Village Nursery with us then we certainly would! An outstanding nursery in every way.

As much as we love the Quays, it is not a secret that the primary schools in the area are not exactly outstanding. This is why shortly after our son was born we started looking for a house in an area with better schools. In the meantime, we put the little one temporarily in The Village Nursery as this,
we found, was the best one in the area. We viewed many beautiful places, in immediate proximity to outstanding primary schools. However, the one thing we could not find was a nursery matching the Village Nursery. With having another couple of years until our son makes 4, we realised that the only option we really have is to stay in the area until he is school age and move then.
What makes The Village Nursery different is not "unique infrastructure" like mini petting zoos and such, but the people that work there - competent, qualified and genuinely caring. This has a tremendous impact on the children, who are truly happy and learn new things every day.
P.S. the menu is good too.

My daughter started at The Village Nursery when she was 9 months old. We both found settling in very hard, but the staff could not have been more caring, warm and helpful. They encouraged us to do more settling in sessions to help with the transition, and never made us feel like we were being an inconvenience
or that we should rush the process.
My daughter settled in brilliantly with the help of the staff and has since gone on to love going to nursery.
I have absolute confidence and trust in the staff who work there, and I cannot thank them enough for looking after my little girl and helping her grow and learn.
We use the Tapestry online journal, and we love seeing the photos and watching the videos of her playing through the day. She eats well there, sleeps well, and comes home happy.
I know she's had a good day and that the staff are attentive and genuinely care about the children.

Since joining The Village Nursery my daughter has developed in so many ways. She is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going to nursery every week.

My son started at The Village when he was 12 months and although the settling period was extremely difficult for myself as a parent, the babies team made this whole transition so much more bearable.
The girls wholeheartedly put every effort into their care, going above and beyond any expectation.
The impression they have made is something I will never forget. My key person was amazing, meeting her at my home visit for the first time was quite nerve racking, but I knew from that moment I could put my trust in her to care for my son. Over the past 6 months I quite simply couldn't have asked for any more from her.
My son is now 18 months and moving up into toddlers, although I will very much miss my key person and the girls in babies, I already can't wait to see how he develops even further.
The entire team at The Village always go out of their way to ensure that they can do their absolute best for you.
I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for the best!
