Corner House Trafford believes in seeing children as individuals. Their ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with children and their families. Their teams work closely with the families ensuring they feel confident from the onset, starting with the very first session in their home visits to the personal visits with their Key Person.
The Key person’s role is to support the child and their family as they begin to make relationships within the setting. Information sharing is integral to ensure that staff always provide the best possible experiences for each of them.
The baby unit consists of a beautiful light open environment with immediate accesses a separate garden and baby sleep room. Above all the babies at nursery feel loved and cared for. During this important phase, babies are exploring the world with all of their senses and their whole bodies and so the activities and experiences they plan with the babies support and encourage children’s strong exploratory impulses.
The nursery is purpose-built with specifically designed outdoor areas which naturally encourage the children to independently access both the indoor and outdoor environments. Children’s development and experiences are recorded through the online software (ParentZone). Parents are encouraged to share their child’s interests directly with their Key Person, this is then planned for as part of the child's next step to further support their development.
The nursery's team of cooks work endlessly to provide well balanced nutritional meals for all of the children. Using the Eat Better Start Better guidelines the children enjoy a four weekly menu providing a wide variety of dishes.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 51 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 51 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.4 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

I was apprehensive about leaving my son when I went back to work after being with him full time for 10 months. He settled in with the team really quickly and is coming up to two years at the nursery. The transition between rooms has been seamless, so much so that it's like nothing has changed, which is very reassuring as it shows how at home he is.
The team go the extra mile making sure that home links are maintained with activities that are centred around them and the events they put on are fantastic, from pirate parties to a traditional cooking event.
We couldn't wish for more for Noah's early years education. Big thanks as always to the team. You all do an amazing job!

The village nursery provides such a stimulating and nurturing environment for my son. I can not praise them enough. As a parent I trust all the carers immensely and won't consider sending my youngest son anywhere else when I return to work from maternity leave. The activities that are organised are creative and often tailor made to the children's specific interests. The atmosphere is lively, fun and friendly but with a clear focus on how to develop our children in the best possible way. I feel the nursery really goes the extra mile, when getting parents involved in what the children get up to when they are there. I am always particularly impressed with the events the nursery puts on outside of normal working hours.

Our son joined nursery when he was 3, entering straight into preschool. From the very first visit, it was clear that the nursery was different to others I’d visited – bright, cheerful surroundings and lovely, friendly staff who are obviously happy in their jobs and genuinely care about the children as individuals. The preschool team have made my sons time at the nursery very happy, helping him grow from a shy little boy who barely spoke to a happy, confident and fun-loving child who – most importantly – loves being in nursery and never complains about going. This is due in no small part to their commitment to working with the family as a whole - from the first home visit at the beginning, right the way through to the lovely leavers ceremony for the children moving to school. We will be very sad to leave this summer when our son starts school, but we thank them for everything they’ve done for our son and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.
We love this nursery - particularly for the one-level building and a fantastic outside space. My son loves to be outside - it's perfect for him.

He loves the food and when we pick him up, the staff tell us "he ate all" (everyday!). This is really important for us as he was born with a dairy allergy and severe re flux, so we were worried about finding a Nursery that could accommodate giving him specialist formula (as a baby) and as he was weaning, providing a healthy and nutritious diet that took into account his allergy. We need not have worried as they were fantastic and took our concerns seriously.
The Nusery runs regular family events and activities - such as the recent 20 year anniversary Carnival party - that the whole family can enjoy.
The nursery staff are great at taking a child centred approach - observing and responding to each child's interest and individual stage of development (eg use of chopsticks after my son first ate with them on holiday).

The Village Nursery is such a lovely setting with dedicated, hardworking and professional staff. From the moment my child started Nursery he was welcomed and nurtured by loving staff who kept us updated with all his achievements and milestones. Parents and families are welcomed to join in with lots of events throughout the year. There is a wonderful outdoor area with so many activities for children, and inside all the areas are changed frequently so there is variety to their day. Preschool children go on a trip on the bus to a museum which my son absolutely loved. My son has taken part in so many wonderful activities every day including baking, singing and construction. We have happy memories and he has made a lovely friendship through the Nursery. My son really enjoyed his time at preschool and is incredibly excited about his new adventure to school.

The setting is really lovely, the room are clean, bright and cheerful with lots and lots of toys and activities all over the place. My little boy has been in the baby room for the past 6 months and every time I go to pick him up he is laughing and playing and having a great time! I love how much...
I am always amazed at the daily menu's and how well the children eat as well. Also, the outdoor area is a lovely space and they ensure the children go outside a lot. Another real added bonus here which I haven't seen elsewhere is that there is a separate cot room which is a quiet dark room for the babies to sleep so they aren't disturbed and get a good nap. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone I know.
This is a fabulous nursery. They went over and above to make me feel better when I left my son there and returned to work. He's been there since he was 6 months old and he's now 28 months. My son was 8 months old when he started at nursery and as a first time mum about to return to work I was very nervous about leaving him anywhere. The staff at the nursery were amazing and he settled in straight away. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of activities for the children. There is a cook on site who makes a wide variety of healthy, tasty meals. The garden is huge with sandpit, mud kitchen, story corner and is simply amazing, not to mention the hobbit house at the front of the nursery, the children love it.
All the staff are fantastic, they are friendly, welcoming and helpful which gave me the reassurance that my son is in a friendly and happy environment. He has grown into a cheeky, confident, sociable little boy who loves books and singing songs. The staff all go above and beyond there role at the nursery with putting on lots of events for the children and parents during the day and weekends as well. I would definitely recommend The Village Nursery to everyone.

The nursery supports my child with a wide variety of activities and nurtures her as she grows. A brilliant place to go. I can't recommend it enough. My little girl started in the baby room at 10 months and has developed in leaps and bounds. Her key worker has been fantastic in building really strong relationships with with both her and us and I really couldn't ask for more. Every effort is made to plan for her development with excellent home links to support activities and strengthen her interests and give us ideas to develop at home. My daughter is ready to move to the next room and we are really going to miss where she has been but know she will receive the same level of love, care and support as she grows. We thought we had made the right choice for her nursery place and now are in no doubt. Thank you Village Nursery!

We moved our 2 year old from another nursery to attend the Village as the cost/location was more suitable (and the hobbit house at the entrance!!) We were nervous about the move but he soon settled down due to the lovely welcoming staff. I cannot recommend the Nursery enough, they treat every child as an individual and focus on 'their' interests as well as involving the whole class. The facilities are great and the rooms are full of natural light. The access to the garden is a huge bonus and he often doesn't want to come home... I have particularly enjoyed the parent participation days - The Carnival where a CBeebies personality made an appearance, Mother's Day Event where we planted Sunflowers and Bedtime stories where all the children had to wear nightwear. Unfortunately we are relocating shortly and we will be extremely sad to leave, i just wish we could take the Nursery with us!!!

A fantastic nursery, it really is a wonderful place where my daughter has blossomed so much since starting in the babies room. All the staff are lovely and genuinely care for each child, they have all gone above and beyond our expectations! The nursery offer a healthy and varied menu and encourage the children to try everything, they have also introduced my daughter to lots of different foods. The rooms are well laid out with lots of different activities on offer, and the garden is huge with sand pits and a mud kitchen! At the end of each day you are given detailed information about what you child has done, and what food they ate or tried. We have really enjoyed the special events for grandparents day and mothers/fathers day, especially the weekend events like pirate parties.
Fantastic nursery with endless opportunities. The amount of parent events is fantastic, and staff are always well trained and pass on information.

As someone who works with Ofsted and trains educators, I was nervous about selecting a nursery, due to the amount of 'horror cases' I've had to investigate. However, The Village Nursery hands down beat all others we looked at.

The management and senior staff are approachable and effective, fostering strong relationships between nursery and home. Daily communication is excellent and progress reports are regular and thorough.
Learning and development at every age is fun, creative and challenging, with the nursery's excellent facilities and resources matching the teaching ambitions of the staff.
My daughter has grown into a happy, confident and sociable 3 year old thanks to the loving and secure environment of The Village.

There really is a big focus on care and all the practitioners understand how important it is that each child receives lots of love during their day at nursery. The food is amazing and they have a wide range of different meals available.
They also carry out lots of parent events during the year which are great to attend and helps to make you feel like you are not missing out whilst at work. Its in a great location too!
