Old Crofts Bank Nursery School

My child has been attending Old Crofts Bank for the past year and we are really pleased with it. He has settled in really well, all of the staff are lovely and everyone is always very friendly. We viewed a lot of other nurseries in the area and chose OCB due to the staff, the outdoor provision and the number of rooms provided for different age groups. He always has a great time at nursery and often doesn't want to come home as he's too busy having fun!

Communication with parents is very good - this includes photos and updates on the app each day, plus a lovely detailed report at the end of term. We also get a newsletter each month detailing activities and events going on in the nursery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone!

Both of our children have been at this nursery, and we have seen it change over the years. In recent months, particularly with the addition of a teacher in preschool, our daughter has flourished and is more than ready for school.

Brilliant nursery and lovely staff, everyone at Old Crofts Bank Nursery School has helped our daughter, from when she started as a baby, to grow into a mature and kind young lady, ready and prepared for primary school. Our daughter loves coming home and telling us about her day at the nursery and can't wait to go back for another day. The team are very kind and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend this nursery.

We love Old Crofts Bank, the new staff have been a great addition to all the original best, especially my child's keyworker. The outside space is great and the reason why we chose the nursery, but the overall care for the children is of the highest standard.

I have had uncertainties previously about bank staff but this seems to have settled down now.

Fantastic nursery and preschool, the team clearly take time to get to know your child as an individual and supports them to explore their interests. Our son has settled in really well and enjoyed making new friends and using all the facilities.

My little girl has been coming here since September 2022 and is always happy to see everyone, especially when her key worker comes in. All the staff go out of their way to make every child and parent feel welcome, which reassures me that she's in good hands.

Feeling emotional today as I drop my grandson off for the last time at Old Crofts Bank Day Nursery. Why did we choose this nursery? It has maintained a good reputation in the area over many years. Despite the anxiety around starting a child during a lockdown, we felt reassured by the consistently calm, warm, and friendly staff. I can honestly say they have smiled through what must have been the most challenging of times. There are some excellent practitioners at Old Crofts Bank. They provide a stimulating environment both inside and outdoors, the food is tasty, and child safety is paramount. The e log provides a fascinating and reassuring glimpse into your little ones day. They have gone above and beyond to meet the additional needs of our grandson, and we will be forever grateful for this. Thanks to their endless patience, flexibility and empathy, he has made excellent progress with them and they have been the first vital step in his educational journey.

My daughter has settled really well into the nursery and that’s thanks to the care and attention of all the staff. There are different learning through play activities each day which help her to build confidence, skills and knowledge. The food menu is great, varied and nutritious.

We are really happy with the quality of care provided at Old Crofts Bank. We looked at multiple nurseries before choosing and this was the only one that had comments about and felt like a home from home. The staff are approachable and have fantastic relationships with the children. Our son absolutely loves nursery and often doesn't want to leave at the end of the day! I couldn't recommend them enough.

Our experience at the nursery has always been positive. Our first child has developed so well there that we had no issues sending our second child there. The staff are so friendly and approachable I feel safe in the knowledge that my children will be well looked after.

I had been looking at different nurseries since last year for my son. I was recommended Old Crofts Bank Nursery by a friend. My child was immediately comfortable and content. Staff are absolutely amazing with him and myself, if you ever need anything they are there to help in any way they can straight away.
