Partou Little Acorns Day Nursery & Pre-school provides high-quality childcare for children from birth to five-years-old. The nursery has been caring for children in Atherton since 1987.

The nursery is set in a lovely Victorian property with a natural outdoor play area, where children can play outdoors every day and even learn swimming and French.

The long-serving Little Acorns team are highly qualified and have first aid and safeguarding training so families know that their children are in caring, capable hands.

Staff at Little Acorns have have undergone enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Little Acorns prepares all of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen using quality ingredients. The nursery’s seasonal menu can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

We weighed up about five nurseries before choosing this one and we’re so glad we did. Our daughter was a lockdown baby so we decided to put her into nursery earlier than planned, at six months old, in order to socialise. She was a very shy baby, but the staff have gone above and beyond with her. We
had her parents evening recently (she’s nearly three now) and the difference in her is phenomenal. She’s chatty, confident, plays well and all this has really been taught and nurtured in her whilst at nursery (she’s in five days a week). I also love that the nursery make an effort to put on events for the kids (and parents too). We are looking forward to the garden party next week. Huge praise for the staff, if we have another child we know where we’re sending them!

Our son has attended since he was 6 months old, we looked at several nurseries in the area but once we visited, we were in no doubt where we wanted him to go, the nursery stands out from the rest. There are a lot of long-standing staff, management are approachable. The nursery is run to a very high
standard. There are daily posts on social media which are amazing, and the activities the staff create are so engaging. There are lots of extras too; swimming lessons, French and Spanish lessons, Just Nature Days, we have recently attended a parent's evening where we got to stay for a 'stay and play session' and hear all about his development, there was also a delicious buffet. The food is all freshly cooked from scratch by the nursery cook, I wish I could eat there! There is a garden party in a few weeks with a mobile farm. The outside area is a hidden gem. The staff are nurturing and treat the children like their own, they go above and beyond each and every day.

My child has attended Little Acorns Private Day Nursery and Pre-school full time, from the baby room through to the pre-school. There honestly hasn’t been a single day where she hasn’t been happy and excited to go in. She’s come on so much through the years and aside from academically, the nursery has
also provided support in life stages such as walking, toilet training etc. When selecting a nursery, one of things that drew me to Little Acorns was the additional activities like days out, swimming, Spanish lessons etc. and these have not disappointed.

My little boy is currently in the Tweenies room and really enjoys going. He does a wide range of activities which he thoroughly enjoys. The nursery staff really take an interest in the child’s interests and try to promote these at nursery. The staff are all really lovely and friendly too. We get a warm

My daughter enjoys attending nursery. The nursery offer extra activities including swimming and language lessons. They have regular open evenings to discuss your child. They arrange special activities such as farm visits and dressing up for events such as the King's Coronation and Christmas. I would

Little Acorns is an amazing nursery. They treat the children like their own. They nurture, educate and help the children build confidence. My son has learnt so much in his time here and people tell me he’s so clever and grown up - I put this down to the quality of teaching at this nursery. The safeguarding

Brilliant nursery, all the staff are lovely and my daughter loves going here. The staff ensure activities are engaging and planned around children’s interests and developmental needs and the food menu is great and varied. Little Acorns is an excellent nursery, All the staff go above and beyond. My son has been here since he was 9 months old and he will be starting school this September. He has developed and grown into such a caring, kind and clever little boy and I believe Little Acorns have helped with this. I will
be extremely sad when he leaves this nursery as he loves it so much and has such a special bond with the staff that work here. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough!

My son has been going to this nursery since 11 months of age. They made going back to work so easy knowing he would be so well cared for. In fact, I had his name down for this nursery when I was pregnant, I didn’t even look at any other nurseries as all my nephews went here and were so cared for and
so well established due to the amazing role the nursery played. They always plan activities around children's interests and needs. They always do so much learning, laughing and playing and we are regularly updated by a learning book which is so great to see all the lovely pictures they share. The staff always go above and beyond and are always willing to answer any questions and give you updates. The facilities are brilliant and my son always comes home happy every day. They are great and would really recommend this nursery.

Absolutely amazing nursery, brilliant staff and a very nurturing environment for my child highly recommended. My boy is in the babies room which could do with a few more engaging toys to which I will be donating very shortly. But the staff looking after him are great and they all deserve a pay rise
in my opinion!

Since my daughter first attended back in 2020 the whole team has been nothing short of amazing, especially the nursery manager.
No matter what situation good or bad she is there for you 100% which gives you a sense of comfort as you know your child and other children are their number one priority.
My daughter has grown and developed/developing into an amazing little girl extremely clever, confident, happy and caring and nursery has a huge huge part of this with how they teach, learn and communicate with the children.
Also, they don't just sit around inside, they have a brilliant outside play area and also plan field trips which the kids just love and also take them swimming once they're in the last stages of nursery which I think is brilliant.
Everything about this nursery is amazing.
Thank You to all the nursery team for everything you've done/doing for my daughter and myself so far.

My son is almost 3 years old and has been going to Little Acorns Nursery since he was 9 months old. He sees the staff as his family and absolutely loved going! If he is ever feeling unwell or tired from our early morning wake-up calls, the staff are always quick to cuddle and squeeze him when he arrives,
to provide the support he requires. One of the staff members often has his breakfast laid out ready for his arrival because she knows him so well!
I have never had an issue with anything, I will truly be sad when my son has to leave for Primary School.

My son has been at Little Acorns since he was 8 months old. He loves attending and it has brought him on so much. The nursery caters for his dairy allergy and ensures he is always included. All the food is freshly prepared on site which is an added bonus.

My eldest child attended Little Acorns from 9 months old until he left for school and absolutely thrived there. Therefore I did not hesitate when deciding where to send my youngest son. He has been there since he was a baby and has come on leaps and bounds. The nursery has such a homely feel to it and
all the staff are so friendly and easy to approach. The care they show towards the children is second to none. I have always felt completely comfortable when leaving my children here and the safeguarding procedures in place are very reassuring.


Communication between the nursery and parents is also great. There are regular open evenings for families where we get to see my son's work and progress and I love this. I would really recommend Little Acorns to any parent and I am very grateful of the care and support they have provided me and my 2 sons with (and continue to do so)

Little Acorns have been incredible with our little girl. She started as such a shy baby and has now grown up into a little girl with so much character and confidence and I put that down to the staff at nursery. My daughter has attended Little Acorns for the past 2 years. The staff are amazing they look after her with such care and attention, and they form exceptional bonds. They have nurtured her curiosity and creativity, their activities are well put together. My only downside is the cost just increased 12%
which is tough, especially in the current cost of living crisis, but the team are worth a pay increase for sure.

My kids have been going since they were 4 months. They are now 6 and 4 and the youngest is about to leave and start school. Great nursery! Great staff. Very supportive. Wouldn’t recommend it anywhere else. Great facilities. Swimming classes. Spanish class. Lots of outdoor trips. Fabulous

Leaving our daughter to return back to work was a very hard decision to make, we went to view multiple settings and nothing quite compared to Little Acorns. My daughter has been here since she was 9 months old and in babies and will be here until she leaves for primary school. She has thrived in so
many departments due to each staff member and as she has progressed from each class to the next she has always been welcomed by staff and her peers, which makes me as a parent so content when leaving her in the day. The school offers a safe, warm and encouraging environment for all of their children and I honestly could not recommend it enough.

My daughter settled into this nursery having transferred cross country with absolute ease. The staff are like parents and are so approachable, caring, and considerate. She also has allergies which they were mindful of at all times. She absolutely loved going in and even now wants to come in when we
