My daughter loves to go to nursery. She used to be very shy and scared of everyone apart from mum and dad. Now she’s open and smiling at everyone. She has a lot of fun there but also attention and great care.
My son has recently joined the nursery and all the staff have been brilliant with him, particularly his two key workers. He has settled in really quickly and his very happy there.
I cannot speak highly enough of Holyrood Nursery, Prestwich. The staff are fabulous, care for my daughter extremely well, have supported her in her development and have also kept us informed as parents with everything. My daughter has been at the nursery from a being quite young and she absolutely loves it, especially the staff often talking about staff members at home when she’s playing. I was very anxious about putting my daughter in nursery, however having visited Holyrood and other nurseries, I knew from my very first visit that I would be very happy there. I love the homely feel and everything the manager and her team stood for and believed in. As a teacher myself, I know how important it is to give children the very best start in life and I can certainly say, hand on heart, Holyrood Prestwich does this with bells on. I particularly like how all staff know my little girl by name. I only wish there had been ratings higher than excellent on this questionnaire.
Holyrood Nursery Prestwich is an extremely friendly, warm welcoming nursery. My little girl has been going since she was 8 months old and is now 3 and a half she absolutely loves her time there as well as all the members of staff. I couldn’t recommend a better nursery.
She loves her friends. Staff are good as they keep them together
My opinion as Heaton Park is close to the nursery they should go and learn how to walk together, learn about nature and trees etc
Excellent nursery and staff make time to communicate with you on collection and pick up of children. Excellent feedback at parents evenings and provided with leaning steps achieved.
Everyone at Holyrood Prestwich has been an absolute joy to deal with. My 16 month old son attends every morning and he smiles as soon as we arrive and is still smiling when I come back for him (and that's before he spots me). He even beams when I talk about the staff when we're not even there. At a different nursery, my daughter never really settled and I left every day feeling awful. Not here. He is so obviously well cared for by everyone here and I leave each day excited to go back and get him knowing he has had a happy day, learning new things and being looked after so well. Couldn't have found a happier, more homely place for my baby boy.
My daughter is very happy at Holyrood, she has made lots of friends, her learning is progressing well and she has excellent care from her keyworkers. The garden is a great addition and the late pickups are also useful.
when I first viewed Holyrood Prestwich I fell in love with it instantly. As I walked in it felt like a home from home and a familiar scent which took my mind back to when I was at nursery many years ago. My daughter attended from baby room 2 all the way through to preschool and even now as she is almost entering year 1 at school she still asks about certain key workers. My son loves nursery and when he goes he doesn't even turn around to say goodbye. Management has a good rapport with parents and value all opinions. The outdoor space is fantastic and there is nowhere else I would like my child to be.
This was my first choice when choosing a nursery for my son and I was not disappointed! I loved the family feel of the nursery and the outside spaces for play. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, I am happy to leave my son each day knowing he is looked after and having fun. He has made so many friends we will be sad to leave for big school!
Staff and management make this nursery excellent. They are all absolutely fantastic with the kids and they put a lot of effort into planning and delivering fantastic learning activities that are also very entertaining and engaging. Budgets, equipment and facilities may change numerous times over time, but what's irreplaceable and what has been the cornerstone for my son's learning, well being, happiness and readiness to start school are the great relationships he has built with all the staff, and the confidence that they have helped flourish. That is something transferable that he will benefit from greatly when starting school. When my son started the nursery and I had to return to work, I had a lot of anxiety thinking that nobody would do a better job than me. Now I send him to pre-school with confidence that they will do a better job than myself.
I would definitely recommend Holyrood Day Nursery Prestwich and have done lots over the past year or so! The management are great and really listen and implement things if you have any concerns about your child, the nursery staff are lovely and the garden is amazing!
This nursery has good standards for my child and other children. The staff are also friendly and kind and have a good impact on my child.
Fabulous nursery and wonderful staff. My two girls love it, they have developed so many skills since joining when they were two and the staff are amazing support and loved by myself and my girls.
Staff are all very welcoming. I feel at ease leaving my daughter there and she loves it and talks about the girls who look after her.
Both of our children have attended Holyrood Nursery - one is currently attending 4 days a week and our eldest child was full time throughout most of his time there. We have only had good experiences with both children there and if there has been anything we have been slightly concerned about, we always felt happy enough to address any issues with the manager. Our children have both been very happy at Holyrood and have developed so well in a variety of ways.
As parents who work full time, we are extremely pleased to see that our daughter has taken to the staff and loves her time at nursery.
Staff retention/turnover is a concern currently but regular staff/keyworkers have been great.
Staff who are very informative and I felt took time to get to know and understand my child.
I would definitely recommend two staff members in particular who would always welcome you with a big smile.
My son is occasionally upset when I drop him off and the nursery practitioners are excellent at comforting him and calling me when he's feeling good again. I love this nursery.
