Holyrood Nursery Prestwich is a stunning, large detached house on Bury Old Road.

The nursery began in this beautiful house in 1994, owners chose to keep the original feel and character of this property which has resulted in a warm and homely atmosphere throughout.   

Situated in a residential area of Prestwich, Manchester, close to a number of local shops and motorway links.

The nursery has access to Heaton Park where children enjoy going for walks, looking at the animals and feeding the ducks.

The nursery has 7 playrooms over 3 floors these are generously proportioned, carefully planned and extensively resourced to create inspiring learning environments, where children are able to access a wide range of activities based around their interests.

The nursery also has access to a large enclosed outdoor space where children can explore the natural environment on the grassed area or ride a bike on the painted road. The large castle and outdoor equipment allow plenty of outdoor adventures.

An experienced and skilled staff team have many years of continuous service and work with children and parents in an enthusiastic, supportive manner encouraging every child’s growth and development. The nursery has a full time qualified teacher and one of the senior staff has an early years professional status.

Really lovely place. My little one loves going there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My girl comes back from there with a smile on her face and that is the best feeling.

My son used to go to the nursery and my daughter attends now. Both are very happy and my son made lots of friends and was sad to leave. My only complaint is that clothes often get stained and ruined. I'd prefer messy play to be done with a change of old clothes.

Staff are great and very friendly. Only issue would be that daughter came home a few times with poo in her knickers. I was worried about sending my daughter to a nursery at beginning (worried mother!) but she has blossomed amazingly. She is a confident little girl and loves pre-school. Thank you.

The facilities at my son's learning hours was fab. All the staff took time out (not in working hours) to entertain with a bouncy castle, face painting, homemade cakes, a disco and much more.

My son has come on leaps and bounds in his confidence and knowledge since attending Holyrood. His maths skills have improved and his ability to write his name so neatly has really impressed me, especially as he refuses to do writing at home. He loves all the teachers and always comes home happy. I am
slightly sad that he is leaving to go to school as he loves it so much here. Thanks for everything over the past 18 months here.

Since attending 'Holyrood Day Nursery Prestwich' at the age of two, my daughter has come on loads in every aspect of learning. Sending my child here has been a pleasure. all the staff have complete dedication to all children. My daughter's physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs were all met. The staff are happy, smiley and friendly and leave me feeling confident that my daughter is in safe hands. The manager is

My daughter goes to this nursery, starting at the age of 2 the staff were amazing with her and really settled her in. She has come on so much and is now going into pre school at the nursery in September. One particular member of staff has now moved into pre school and my daughter loves her to pieces,
always talks about her and her new fiends. The manager is lovely and my daughter really likes her and always guesses if she will answer the door to us.

My daughter started the pre-school when she was just coming up to her third birthday. Despite the usual tears upon leaving me she has thrived and her confidence and abilities have grown and improved. There is a great accessible outside play area at the pre-school that the children use all the time and
my daughter also loves the Messy Room. She has formed strong and trusting relationships. The members of nursery staff that she is emotionally attached to are always on hand for her comfort and reassurance. Staff interact and enhance my daughter's learning in a very caring way. Any concerns that I've had have been listened to and taken seriously and I can see how the pre-school is improving and working hard to be the best. I feel very happy leaving my daughter there. She is stimulated and loved and cared for by a strong and genuinely dedicated team.

My son has spent 10 weeks at Holyrood Day and I couldn't be happier with the excellent service they have given us. It was the first time he has been in a nursery environment and I was very concerned how he would adapt as he wasn't used to other children's company. The nursery staff were amazing. They
put my mind at rest and took the time to get to know my son and understand him. In 10 short weeks his confidence has grown and he looks forward to going. There is a real friendly, family atmosphere and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

My son goes to the nursery and he absolutely loves it, always looks forward to going and seeing all the staff, they are so good with my son and it puts a parent at ease well done to the deputy manager, you have made the nursery a better place. I will always recommend the nursery to any parent.

Really happy with my choice of nursery. Lovely staff who are always so friendly. Lovely outdoor play area with lots of play equipment. Clean and spacious pre-school area. 5* nursery.
When my daughter started in 2015 aged 2 she was been potty trained which the nursery continued to help with.
She also had dietary requirements which they helped to provide her with.
Her speech and confidence has grown so much over the past year.
She also knows her numbers to 10.
Recognises
different colours and shapes with help from the staff.
The staff are always welcoming in the mornings and inform me what she's been up to and how much dinner she's had ect.
I would definitely recommend this nursery the staff are lovely.

Helpful and friendly staff. Daily sheet of what your child has done is very helpful. Food is excellent and you can view the 4 week food rota to see what is being served. Both my children have thrived being at this nursery and I would highly recommend to anyone.

After a rather negative experience at a different nursery I was extremely anxious about continuing to place my child in nurseries at all. From the very first contact with Holyrood's Nursery manager I felt more confident. We were welcomed so warmly and as soon as I entered the nursery we felt comfortable
warm and at home. My child quickly took to the very nurturing staff and had lots of cuddles from them to reassure and make my child feel safe and wanted. We love this nursery and feel Holyrood should be the ones with outstanding ofsted reports. Every effort is made to open doors promptly in the morning while we all rush to work. Staff are always warm and friendly. They are empathetic to how overwhelmed I can be and help me so much by making sure my child is taken for a cuddle as soon as we arrive. My child leaves very happy after having a fun filled everyday, plenty of lovely home made food and a note to tell me all about it. The manager is very organised. Always on hand (hands on) she remains In the building itself and is just lovely. The staff are brilliant with the children. Friendly, loving, caring and professional. My child is never left wet, hungry or without love and attention. Activities are varied and every day is different. Plenty of outside activity weather permitting. Snacks and water available throughout the day. Most importantly the nursery is safe and like home. I can go to work feeling confident that my child is being really well looked after. I can now relax and concentrate on my day. Thank you Holyrood for everything you do for us.
