Astley Nature Kindergarten is situated in the heart of Astley in a stunning villa with plenty of its original features and character.

A well established, welcoming environment providing day care, before/after school care and a holiday club for children aged five to 11 years. Staff support all children to learn, develop and grow as confident individuals and support children with additional needs and children with English as a second language. A fully inclusive staff team work together to build relationships with parents ensuring smooth transitions from home to nursery. Staff team do this through their daily practices: drop in days, parents' evenings and play and stay sessions where parents can have an active role in nursery life.

There are seven playrooms within the nursery that provide safe, stimulating and engaging activities such as sensory, educational, messy and physical play. Now offering 'Forest School' Saturday Sessions.

Awarded the Health Setting Award along with the Healthy Business Award where menus were analysed by a nutritionist and proven to promote health and well-being.

Offer sibling discount, Emergency Service staff discount, variable/part-time/full-time sessions and FREE funded places.

An all-inclusive nursery meaning that all meals, snacks, nappies, wipes and formula are included in fees as well as quality early year’s care and education and a celebration of festivals throughout the year.

I cannot recommend or praise this nursery enough! They are absolutely outstanding. My daughter started this nursery when she was just 5 months old, she was the youngest baby and I was anxious about leaving her at first, I need not have worried at all. They are brilliant, my daughter loves it here, she
arrives with a smile and leaves with a smile, the staff are always friendly, caring and I know that they genuinely love their jobs and those children in their care. You can see it on their faces when we arrive and when I collect her. They take time to fill you in on your child’s day, I love the diary of their day I get each day filling me in on her diet, activities and sleep times. I am completely 100% satisfied and know that I chose the best nursery. She’s coming on leaps and bounds and I just can’t thank Holyrood Day Nursery Astley enough for taking such good care of my precious daughter. Keep up the good work.

My Daughter went to Holyrood from being 9 months old until she was 4 years old and started primary school. Now she goes during the school holidays and she still loves it.
The staff are all really friendly and welcoming and remember my daughter and what she likes. its like she's never left when she
goes.

I would highly recommend Holyrood Astley. My little boy loves going to nursery. The staff go above and beyond with all the children. We are always kept up to date with what is going on within the nursery, what offers are for extra sessions etc. The parents evenings are very informative. They offer forest
school, which is a fantastic opportunity for young children. The staff are a credit to Holyrood.

Fantastic nursery. Our boys love going and it has help them with their development. Every month the staff set goals to work on developing different skills. All the staff are friendly, approachable and make it feel homely. Amazing outside space.

I have 2 boys that feel very welcomed and cared for at this nursery. The staff are incredibly attentive and flexible, often going above and beyond for their youngsters. Having experienced other settings, I can say the meals, facilities and communication are second to none. The huge outside space boasts
different levels of adventure including an enchanting 'forest school'. There is a real family feel at Holyrood Day Nursery Astley and I know my eldest will truly miss the staff and opportunities for fun in such a positive environment.

Brilliant nursery with great, friendly staff.


My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery, especially to do forest school. The outdoor area is fantastic for the children.

My stepson, son and my daughter have all attended this nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are caring, knowledgeable, friendly and they really work with the parents to ensure that your child is getting everything they can from the nursery. The outside space is fantastic and is utilised
in all seasons. My daughter's knowledge about gardens and nature is unbelievable for a preschooler! None of my children have had any unhappy experiences there as the attention paid to each child is second to none.

Lovely nursery.
I’m happy my twins are safe and happy here. We have tried another nursery and I didn’t feel satisfied with the care, but we are really happy with Holyrood. My eldest also came 9 years ago, it was lovely then too, so I’m confident it’s consistently good.
They adore their key workers,
they loved the “unicorn” they were allowed to ride, they love the outdoor activities and the fun things they learn, and story time.
There isn’t a member of staff who isn’t lovely. They eat well and are excited for days at holyrood. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I think the setting is a wonderful place where children are encouraged in the outdoor area to learn about the environment and learn valuable outdoor skills such as fire making, tool use and other activities which I have never seen in any other setting. This is a fantastic place for children to be safe, have fun and learn and develop.
They have lots of outdoor space for the children to safely explore and ‘be at one with nature’. It allows them the freedom to get dirty and explore - what child doesn’t want to do that.
The team of staff and management
make sure each child is safe and secure and they keep the children stimulated throughout the day with new ideas and activities.


The children seem to be happy to be there and it’s a credit to the management.

I find Holyrood Astley to be an excellent setting in which my daughter has attended for a couple of years. All nursery staff are friendly and welcoming when visiting the nursery to drop off and collect my daughter. I always receive detailed feedback about her day at nursery along with them providing
me updates on her progress. I am extremely happy with the care Holyrood provide for my daughter.

My son started at Holyrood Astley in October when he was 9 months old. We are really happy with the nursery and the staff are lovely.
I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect as my son is my first child and I wasn't sure how we would both find it. He has taken to nursery life really well
and I definitely think it's been beneficial for his development.
I love the fact that he does different activities and even though he is only there for 2 days a week. It's nice to think of him socialising with the other babies.
He seems to love the food served at nursery as it's always on his feedback sheet that he's eaten everything so that makes me very happy.
I would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone looking and I can't wait to see him play with the fabulous outdoor area when he is a little older and more mobile.

My son has recently started at the holiday club and over the Easter holidays they have been doing forest schools activities which involved toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, he even brought home a bow and arrow that he had made from twigs. It's great to know that my son isn't cooped up inside
during the holidays, he loves being outdoors. He can't wait to come back to Holyrood in the summer.
