The Cottage Nursery

My child has attended the nursery now for just over a year and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made sending her to The Cottage! From the moment we had our initial look round we felt so welcome and part of a family. The nursery is managed extremely well and the level of communication is outstanding. The staff are warm, friendly and caring and know my child inside out, nothing is ever too much trouble. The nursery offers so much from Music and French lessons to Gym and Dance sessions. We love that the nursery has pets as being busy working parents we don’t have pets of our own so it’s great that she gets to learn how to look after and care for the animals. The new addition of the Mindfulness room and roof garden is fantastic and such a lovely space for all the children to enjoy. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Being a first-time mum and returning back to work is very hard. My first visit to the nursery made me feel so comfortable and put my mind at ease. I know when I drop off my child in the morning that they are well looked after. All the staff go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. My child has come on a long way since they have started. Every single member of staff are so welcoming and they really create bonds with your child.

Both our children have attended the nursery and I can honestly say the experience with both children is second to none. Our youngest is currently there and the staff care, interaction and educational experience are excellent in all areas. I wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend the nursery to any parents considering them.

We absolutely love The Cottage Nursery! Our two boys have attended since they were 7 months old and are about to turn two. Over this time, they have been stretched and challenged with both their social skills as well as their Early Years education to become well rounded little toddlers, ready to embark on their next learning adventures. They’ve thrived in a supportive environment where the staff have nurtured their interests. With a broad range curriculum, they have enjoyed learning languages, music, plenty of messy and imaginative play, playing with the rabbits, and outdoor play. The updates about their learning experiences and wellbeing on the parents' app have made parenting through a pandemic much easier, even more so, as we were new parents. Our next little boy is due to start later this year and I couldn’t be more reassured about the supportive and nurturing environment he will be joining. It’s more than a nursery - it’s an extended family. I’d recommend the nursery unreservedly.

When selecting a nursery we visited every nursery in the area. From the moment we walked into The Cottage Nursery, we knew this was the right place for our daughter to attend. Everyone was so welcoming and they seemed to be very focused on not only education but each child as an individual and their personal development. My daughter has now been attending the nursery for the past two months, and she adores all of her teachers. It took her two weeks to transition, as she was just used to spending every day with me. During the two weeks, the teachers were so patient and really catered to her emotions, ensuring she knew she was in a safe loving environment. Since week 3, she gets so excited when we pull up to the nursery and dives into the arms of the teacher at the door. She leaves every day with a giant smile and bags of excitement, showing us her sheet which records the best moment of her day.

The Cottage has a much more warm and friendly feel than the other nurseries we looked around. We are so pleased we chose for our son to go there. He’s come on leaps and bounds since attending. The staff have been supportive throughout all stages of his development (including potty training) and during personal problems, we’ve faced. Our son is very happy there and even asks to go at weekends! I feel they’ve handled the covid restrictions admirably. Get your name down early as places come up rarely!

My child has attended this nursery for just over a year now and he has come along so well within that time. He has become more confident and fluent with his speaking, has made friends and is always very happy when I see him in the nursery. The food they serve the children is something I pride them on as it's a well-balanced diet but also adventurous. The educational side to this nursery is brilliant and I cannot recommend them enough for their hard work, care and devotion to the children and the nursery. They truly care about what they do. Highly recommend.

Our daughter has attended The Cottage Nursery for the past 2 years and how excited she is to go every day is a testament to the nursery. She absolutely loves it and has made some great friends too! The nursery is very focused on education, one of the main reasons we chose The Cottage Nursery, but in a way the children find fun and accessible. All of the staff we have come into contact with have been wonderful, they really take the time to make connections with the children and get to know them completely. I would really recommend this nursery.

The staff are all amazing and it is credit to the management team that staff are loyal to the nursery and has been nice to see staff progress in their careers over the years!

Like most parents I was very nervous for my son to start nursery but I needn’t have been so worried as these wonderful ladies couldn’t have been more welcoming! He settled in so quickly and has come on so much in such a short time, I can’t thank them all enough. My little monkey absolutely loves coming in now and I am completely at ease knowing he is happy and well taken care of. Their communication with me is great and I love all the updates on my boy's progress. Couldn’t recommend The Cottage Nursery enough, thank you!

Born into a pandemic, our firstborn has been isolated for most of her life, and we hadn't left her with any family at any point. This was her first time without either of us by her side! She started at 11-months, and her dad and I were so nervous about her settling, that food allergies and skin sensitivity meant she couldn't join in with the activities and play with other babies... It turned out we had nothing to be concerned about! She doesn't miss out at all, in fact, they adapt the activities or the meals for her. The staff don't hesitate to reply to emails. I called so many times in her first weeks, every time the phone was kindly answered and I received honest updates. They chased up GP scripts for creams and medication and ensured all of the staff in the room were aware of our daughters' needs. The staff are so kind to my daughter; she seems so happy and comfortable with all the workers, even blowing kisses - and she now eats so much better too! Thank you.

He's so happy being at The Cottage, and I am so thankful for all they have done and continue to do to help my little boy get to where he is today.

My nephew has attended this nursery since June last year. He has learnt so much, and his personality has grown since starting at The Cottage. His speech is amazing for his age, and he learns new words every day. He has also just taken a real interest in numbers and has started counting, which I think is great. The staff at the nursery are all so lovely, and he has built up such a great bond with them all. My second nephew has just been doing his visits for the past two weeks and has already started settling into the new routine of nursery life. I'm sure he will love it just as much.

Both of my children attended The Cottage Nursery from being only a few months old until 3-years-old. I have always had a comforting feeling right from day one in the nursery, the staff have always been fantastic, and the relationships they have built with my children has made me feel at ease returning to work on both occasions. Thank you for taking such good care of my boys!

The level of care here is amazing, and most importantly, my son loves it, he marches me to the door in the morning very excited that he is going to nursery - thank you again to you all.

The manager and the staff were very friendly and all spoke to us, and we made our way through. Our daughter has attended for almost a year now, and it's amazing to see how quickly she is developing into a confident nearly 2-year-old. We love the app, and its great to see the activities they do. The communication is fantastic, and we are always fully informed of everything that is going on, which is so important, especially in the current pandemic. We can not recommend this nursery enough.

The Cottage Nursery has been nothing but fantastic. My daughter currently attends, and previously her two brothers attended. All the staff are great and really care for the children. All my children developed so well, and they were well prepared for school. The app is great, and the activities always look fun, educational and engaging. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Both of my children have attended The Cottage, my girl from 8-months to 4-years, and my boy from aged 8-months to now, he turned 3 in November. My children love this nursery, they have both flourished and learned so much. The key workers are wonderful girls who genuinely care and love your children as if they were their own. Positive relationships have been formed with my children over the years with all staff from the office, management and key workers. I’m going to be so sad when my little boy leaves this year for school, it will definitely be an end of an era in their little lives but definitely an amazing one! Thank you for taking care of my babies.
