The Cottage Nursery

My youngest son has been at The Cottage Nursery for ten months and I absolutely love it! The staff are so friendly and my son is happy to go to them at drop off each morning and babbles away to them before waving bye bye at the end of every day.

I also really appreciate the stay and play sessions where the parents can spend an hour in the nursery with their child, it really is a wonderful experience.

We have recently been through a difficult time as a family and the nursery staff have been absolutely incredible in supporting my son and myself. They have really gone above and beyond to ensure my son is safe and supported. I can't thank them enough!

We have been using the Cottage nursery since 2019 with our 1st and 2nd children attending and we are currently attending with our 3rd and 4th children who are twin boys. The standard of the staff who work here is consistently exceptionally high and from staff we have known from our first child to newer staff we have only just met they are all amazing. So kind, friendly and helpful. I find using the nursery so easy and know that our boys are content, safe and happy attending. I would always recommend the nursery to my family and friends. Thank you Cottage Nursery for all your hard work!

We have sent our three children to The Cottage Nursery, our eldest started in 2019 and our youngest is there currently. We cannot speak highly enough of the setting and the staff. Across each of the rooms as the children advance, the staff are brilliant and the children are always engaged, happy and learning so much. We're so happy we decided to send our kids to The Cottage and we would recommend it to any of our friends and family.

I have no hesitations in recommending The Cottage to anyone who is looking for a nursery.

The extra activities are amazing - day trips, the French lessons, dancing, pe, music class, baby sign. The activities in the day are really creative. My child knows most phonics sounds at the age of 3. I wouldn't change anything about this nursery. Its amazing.

The room leader, Sarah has such a lovely manner with the babies & the staff are all friendly. There are lots of activities for them that he wouldn't get to do at home, including themed days, music & French sessions. I also appreciate the inclusive ethos. Our son is enjoying attending there.

We have had a great experience with the Cottage Nursery. We have a sensitive boy who hated us leaving him and the Cottage worked with us to provide an individual plan each time he needed to change rooms. They've helped build his confidence and he now goes in without getting upset. The staff are all really lovely, genuine and personable. They have a really low staff turnover and it seems that people genuinely enjoy working there, which tells in the care they give to the little ones. Would absolutely recommend!

Our son's development has been incredible, especially since he has been in Prep 1 and had more focussed learning time. He enjoys telling us about the sound of the week and the different activities he has done each day.

It has a real family feel, and it's clear how much the team genuinely care about the children. We couldn't have asked for a better place for our girls and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a warm, supportive and happy nursery.

Such an amazing place to send our daughter everyday. The staff are so caring and kind and get to know each and every child individually. This makes our daughter love going and spending time on new activities everyday. Our first daughter still loves going back to see the staff at pick up time and the staff still treat her like family! Both daughters have made so much progress academically whilst at the Cottage but this is been mixed with a good balance of fun!

The Cottage is a fantastic nursery. My son has been going for nearly a year and really enjoys being there. The team are friendly, caring and attentive and it's clear how much they care about the children. There are lots of varied activities and opportunities for learning in a safe and supportive environment. I would highly recommend.

Friendly, hard working staff. Organised management who keep us informed and are easily contactable. Detailed report and handover at the end of day. Regular activities and time outdoors. Informed of any injuries/illness promptly.

It is also a benefit to us that this nursery is a little bit cheaper than the last one, which is quite incredible given the level of service they provide.

I think the nursery is very well organized and good with communication. I think the activities and engagement that you set up for the children is great and so enriching for them. I also feel very confident in the overall "progression pathway" for children from the infant room into the older classes that work on school readiness.

My son has settled in wonderfully at The Cottage Nursery and the care and support shown by the incredible staff team has been exceptional. My son absolutely loves going to nursery each day and as a single parent, this is so reassuring ! He has come on leaps and bounds in the few months he has been attending nursery and I would highly recommend to any families in the area.

My son has just come to the end of 2 years at The Cottage. His brother attended before him, so we knew he was in safe and caring hands. He has had a wonderful experience at The Cottage. The care and attention the staff pay to each individual child is mirrored in their wonderful bonds with them. My son adored going to nursery. They have provided him with so many learning activities and experiences, from classroom activities to their weekly French and Jo Jingles sessions. He has left for 'big school' with a fantastic understanding of phonics, already attempting to decode words, wonderful social skills and excellemt spoken language skills. They have fostered a genuine love of learning through Montessori style learning opportunities and most importantly through play! Thank you to everyone at The Cottage, we will miss you!
