The Cottage Nursery

My daughter has been attending the nursery since July 2022 and the staff have been fantastic with her. They show nothing but love and encouragement to every child in their care, the nursery is fully equipped with a variety of resources and the activities that are put out for the children are fantastic! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting and I could not recommend this setting more.

Since our daughter started at nursery we have been nothing but impressed by the staff. They are so caring and kind towards her and everyone knew her name from day one. They are always creating new learning and play opportunities and she regularly enjoys French lessons and music classes. Every week we have access to photos showing her and her peers having a great time. And we can access a live video feed if we wish, but because we are so confident that she is having a wonderful time we have never actually logged in. Highly recommend this nursery and all the staff.

Our little one has been attending The Cottage Nursery since he was 1-years old. It’s always daunting leaving them with someone else but he’s now nearly 3years old and he’s absolutely flourishing, thanks to the staff at the nursery. They truly care and take the time to adjust and develop our son's education, social skills and behaviours. From basic manners to the identification of shapes, the alphabet, numbers, creativity and artistic development, our son comes home with something new that he’s learnt almost every week. The staff are absolutely excellent, always updating us about what’s happened in the day and showering our son with lots of praise and smiles. The facilities and cleanliness of the nursery are fantastic and we love the extracurricular activities like yoga, gym, music, and the French classes. The nursery director does a great job of making the nursery more of a community and there are always fundraisers and charity days in support of much-needed causes. The nursery is a second home for our son.

The team at The Cottage is great, they communicate regularly and are very responsive when you bring anything up. Throughout the pandemic, they have done everything they can to keep the nursery running safely. Both of my children have attended since they were around one year old. Both have had a great relationship with their key workers, you can tell that the team genuinely care about your child, which is so reassuring. The nursery will try to accommodate you as much as they can, for example when I broke my ankle and needed additional days, and they also offered to look after my son when my youngest was in hospital. My eldest attended up to pre-school and the experience gave him a head start in education, they fostered his curiosity and he learned so much. We've had a very positive experience with them.

Our little boy started at The Cottage in June last year and we have been really pleased with his journey at the nursery to date. All the staff are really friendly and share in the excitement of watching the children grow and develop. The use of the parents' app is fantastic and the staff are really thorough with giving updates on activities and the different skills being developed. Staff also give a verbal debrief at pick up times as well as a feedback sheet listing what the children have eaten, nappy changes, activities completed etc. When we shared concerns around development (not related to nursery), the nursery staff took this on board and offered support where they could which we really appreciated.

We are very happy with the Cottage Nursery, our second child currently attends and it’s clear that she loves it. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. The management and communication is always excellent and this was especially so during the Covid pandemic. The staff always post regular updates on the parents' app about the daily activities and it’s clear from these that the children are always engaged and have a great time. We’re so glad we chose The Cottage for our two children.

Our daughter has attended the Cottage for the last 2 years. When it came to choosing a nursery when returning to work, I visited over 10 within a mile radius of our house and this one came off the best in every aspect. I was most impressed by the daily log visible in the lobby for drop off and pick up, to allow you to see what activities your child will take part in and how this is linked to their development. This is now visible on an app each day, which allows you to partake allowing you to repeat at home to encourage learning. The staff are all lovely and it has a lovely familial vibe, which is not often present in the larger chain ones. I genuinely feel that each member of staff emotionally connects with each child, and I know she is happy and safe. Each room is quite large and has lots of fun and learning toys and areas. There are also extra classes from external providers. She has loved every room she's been in, even I was upset to leave the key worker each time she's moved up!

Our little boy has settled in very well from day one at The Cottage and this is down to the caring staff. From the contact prior to him starting and the continuation of daily updates, we are very happy with our choice of nursery.

My child has been going for over a year. Couldn’t be happier. The staff are fantastic and the management is superb. My child loves going and is definitely learning so much. The communication is perfect and I’ve never had any concerns about her education or health and safety. I think it’s clear the management team want the nursery to continually improve.

Our daughter has attended the Cottage nursery since she was 12 months old and has loved it from day one. She settled in really quickly and has continued to develop in all aspects of her life. The nursery offers a wide range of activities; gym, dance, language sessions as well as arts and crafts. The outdoor space is excellent and the rabbits are a great hit. Thank you to all the staff.

Fantastic nursery. Great staff and management. A well-run, caring environment. I have zero complaints, only compliments. I have used other nurseries in the area and this is the best, in my experience.

Always picking up a happy girl. I'm fully aware of her progress every day. Amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individual way.

I am extremely pleased with The Cottage Nursery. I feel 100% reassured in leaving my daughter in their safe hands. It feels like you are leaving your child with family. I love this nursery. As a lockdown baby, I was worried about how my daughter would adapt to nursery but she loves it (doesn't actually want to leave at the end of the day she has that much fun). My daughter is a cloth nappy baby and potty trained from 6 months old and they've supported us and continue to do this with her. The communication is amazing and they are very informative and always put the children first. Really impressed with all the activities they do with my daughter. I can't fault them!

My little niece loves going to this particular Nursery and always has a smile on her face when she’s being dropped off or picked up. Well done to all involved in making this such a happy place, you are all amazing.

My niece has attended this nursery for a while now and I have to say, she absolutely loves it and has a great relationship with the staff. She smiles going in of a morning and is such a happy child when she gets picked up. You all do a wonderful job.

Absolutely amazing nursery! Nothing makes me happier and more reassured than to see my little daughter going to the nursery with a big smile and waving goodbye to me. The level of care and attention from all the staff is fantastic. High level of communication, I feel involved in the nursery life of my daughter. I really can't ask more!

Our 17-month-old daughter currently attends The Cottage Nursery and is absolutely thriving there. She’s so excited each morning when we drop her off - she loves the range of activities on offer. She is the second of our children to attend the nursery - it has a lovely family feel and the members of staff are fantastic at their job.

One of the best nurseries. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I have two other children which have been to different nurseries but none have compared to this one. They have lots for the children to do and my son absolutely loves it. He has come on so much, since being there.

Great nursery, we were recommended to this nursery by a friend, based on their experience and what we've seen personally. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the staff and how happy our son has been at this nursery, so far. We are happy with the growth and development of our child and hope to continue seeing this upward trend.
