The Cottage Nursery

The staff are professional, friendly and accommodating. Our daughter loves going into nursery and is looked after and each staff member is very caring. Each room has been the same since she started. We are very happy with our choice.

We have been absolutely delighted with The Cottage Nursery. I love seeing and hearing the updates of what activities my little boy gets up to each day, and the staff who work there show so much care, attention and love to all the children. I feel that they’re really invested in my little boy’s development and helping him to have a great experience. I also think that they bring in a great range of external providers to help support their development, including music and sign language.

The Cottage Nursery is an excellent establishment. The staff patiently took care and brought out the best in my little girl who started at 9 months, having only ever been cared for by her mum and dad. She cried a lot and wouldn’t eat when she started, but with the excellent care and love the staff gave her, she’s a healthy, happy, giggly, cheeky little girl at day care now. A lovely team and wonderful place with lots of fun and activities foe the kids.

My daughter started at The Cottage in August 2023. The communication, facilities, organisation, and cleanliness is brilliant. My daughter is learning so much and more importantly she's enjoying it too. The staff have all been so friendly and helpful.

We tried our little boy with a childminder and a nursery and he didn’t settle. We have now tried The Cottage Nursery and he is improving every week. I felt confident in the staff from the very first visit and knew it was the right choice. The staff are so friendly and genuine and you can tell that they really do love the children and want to form bonds with them. I feel content leaving my little boy with them which for me is the most important thing. I would highly recommend the nursery!

My daughter started the nursery a few weeks ago, we were very nervous having not had anyone else look after her for longer than a few hours previously. The staff were very welcoming and were great in terms of putting our minds at ease and helping our daughter settle in. They do lots of different activities during the day and keep us up to date with photos and updates at the end of their day. Our daughter's key worker (who leads the baby room) has been brilliant in ensuring our daughter settles in and has quickly developed a strong bond with her, which has enabled her to be more comfortable and confident at nursery.

The Cottage Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Both my children have gone here, one still being there and they have made our nursery journey amazing! As a mother sending a child to nursery can be really daunting but they have put me at ease with how well my children have been looked after. All the staff are very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. My children adore all the staff who work here and enjoy every minute whilst they are here.

We have had one child attend this nursery and currently have our youngest son in the Prep 1 class. We wouldn’t have sent him anywhere else. The staff are fantastic in all the rooms and the care for my sons has been outstanding. My youngest now knows all his initial sounds and can recognise all the letters of the alphabet. He can count confidently objects to 10 and knows his numbers up to 20. Our son is, most importantly, happy. He enjoys telling us about his day and has built such positive and nurturing relationships with the staff. When we collect our son, the room is always calm and the children are engaged in play. It’s lovely to see. Going home at night there isn’t a window where our son doesn’t receive a wave goodbye from all his previous rooms.

As first-time parents, we were naturally very nervous about finding the right childcare provider for our child. We visited six different childcare providers in the local area but as soon as we visited The Cottage we knew that this was the provider that we wanted to send our child to. The nursery is extremely well-run. There has always been clear communication between the board, the senior management team and parents. No issue (no matter how small) is ever a problem. There have been times when the nursery has put in place additional arrangements to support our child. They place an emphasis on education and well-being, two things which we value greatly. Our child enjoys going to nursery and playing with their friends but has also grown fond of all of the staff. This is something that you can't put a price on. I would strongly recommend The Cottage Nursery as a safe and stimulating childcare setting.

My son goes to The Cottage Nursery three times a week and it's just such a fantastic place. His development has come on brilliantly, the staff are so welcoming every single day and the learning environment is just great. Would highly recommend this nursery!

Both of our daughters have attended the nursery and have received excellent care. Our youngest is in the youngest room at the moment and is thriving. All of the staff are wonderful and our daughter has so much fun every day with the activities planned for her.

Since our son joined the nursery at the beginning of 2023, he has excelled in all areas of his development and all aspects of the skill set he already had. He absolutely loves going and from what we're told, he's great with all the staff and other children. We can't thank The Cottage Nursery enough for his development.

My granddaughter has attended nursery for a few years now. She is so happy there and loves attending. She has truly blossomed during her time at nursery and made lots of friends. Everything from her social skills to her vocabulary has come on faster than I ever imagined. The staff are so welcoming to both parents/family and children. The staff are first class - extremely knowledgeable and place the well-being of the children at the core of everything they do.

I cannot praise this nursery highly enough! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, my baby boy only started a couple of months ago and he seems to have settled in so well. He does painting, storytime, music classes, messy play and so many more fun activities! The staff always take the time to tell me in detail what my little boy has been up to. He is usually quite clingy but will happily go straight to any of the girls when we drop him off - which says a lot. The management is also excellent, I cannot fault this nursery. It is outstanding in all areas!

Absolutely love The Cottage Nursery. My daughter is very happy there and they could not do more for her. The staff love her like their own. I know she is in safe hands every day and she is thriving in this environment. I couldn't recommend it more!

My granddaughter has attended the nursery since July 2022 and has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are excellent with her and encourage her to reach every milestone. The sensory room in the badger's room is fantastic and creates a calming and stimulating environment for all the children.

My daughter attends The Cottage Nursery, four days per week. My partner and I could not have picked a better nursery for her. The nursery gives my daughter the highest standard of care, and her confidence and abilities have been well nurtured under the care of the staff. The communication is excellent. Highly recommend.
