Wollaton House Day Nursery

Every single member of the team is a credit to the profession. It has been such a comfort knowing that, each day, he has been going somewhere he feels happy, safe and truly valued. We will always be incredibly grateful for the care, kindness and support they have given him. The only thing I'd upgrade is getting an invoice via email so I dont lose the paperwork! But its nice knowing the team are with the children, not uploading data to a tablet computer all day!

And its not just playing, singing & crafting they're busy doing. They have had a really introduction into education, with phonics, reading, writing his name, counting & other numeracy. Making the transition to school easier. I also have a son who is 7, who also went to the nursery, he settled into school easily with the preparation nursery does.

We honestly couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

Both of my children started here at around one, and I believe we couldn't have chosen a better place for them. Being a house environment, it feels homely and comforting - a home from home.

The food is fantastic too - nutritious, varied and full of fruit and vegetables. Both of my children struggled with trying new foods, but the staff were patient, persistent and went above and beyond to encourage them.

Both of mine left with a great foundation in phonics, maths and writing their names - and they even learnt a little Spanish!

Most importantly, they supported us through difficult tantrum stages too. There were drop-offs where I was in tears, but I was always listened to, supported and never judged.

The nursery premises are always beautifully tidy, welcoming and secure, giving us complete peace of mind. Michaela has grown in independence too-she confidently uses the toilet, gets dressed and proudly announces, "All by myself!" She even helps at home and regularly reminds us: "Choose it, use it, put it away."

My son loves coming here. He gets on well with all the staff who are very friendly, and I feel completely happy leaving him in their care. The facilities are excellent and they have a great outdoor space. The staff are very approachable and helpful.

Wollaton house really feels like a family environment and the love and care they show for my child makes me feel very comfortable going to work that he's in a place which will help nurture him and develop him into the kind of person I want him to be. And January was a difficult month for me losing my dad, so not having to worry about the care my son was getting so I could be there for my mother meant there was one less thing to stress about. And when I see the weekly menu come out I am happy knowing that he'll be getting a healthy nutritious meal whenever he's there

I cannot speak highly enough about Wollaton House Day Nursery! My daughter before starting here really struggled socially. She would struggle being around others or forming relationships. Since starting here she has come such a long way in all aspects. She has become such a confident and happy little person - progressing in her development and relationships with others! I only have all the staff to thank at the nursery who everyday work hard so our little humans can thrive, and we are so grateful!

Wollaton House have been amazing at settling my little girl into nursery life. From that first settling in session they have done everything to ensure she feels safe and loved. Esme has come on so much whilst at Nursery and constantly talks about the staff there. The Wollaton House team are exceptional and I wouldn't ever dream of sending Esme anywhere else. The team put the children at the heart of everything they do and help them to settle fast. Would highly recommend!

Our little boy has been at nursery since he turned one and I couldn't be happier with our choice. The team at Wollaton House has made the transition into nursery an absolute dream. Our little boy is absolutely thriving in the care of the baby room team. From the minute he's handed over to the team you can see the love and care that is put into every child. The time and attention put in by the team is clear from every drop off and pick up. The menus changes weekly and the standard of food is exceptional with his allergies easily catered to. The management team are a key selling point of the nursery - Tracey and Charlotte go above and beyond to keep us updated and ensure all transitions and handovers are smooth. I couldn't go into work without knowing my little boy was cared for at the highest standard and that is what we are getting at Wollaton House.

Two of my children were at Wollaton House from when they were babies. They were very well taken care of and I felt confident leaving them in their care because I knew they would be well looked after well. Both of them have come out more confident and well rounded children. Thank you very much Tracey and the entire team and special thanks to Charlotte and Claire for getting them both ready for school.

Our daughter has just finished at Wollaton House Day Nursery and as she gets ready to start school, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience for her. From the very beginning, she was made to feel safe, happy and loved. Over the years she has absolutely thrived. She has grown into a confident, curious and independent little girl.

The nursery has played such a huge part in preparing her for this exciting next new chapter. Their range of activities, the learning opportunities and the nurturing family environment have all been wonderful.

The staff are truly incredible; so caring, supportive and genuinely invested in our child's development. We've always felt like valued partners throughout her journey and have always been able to collaborate with the nursery on any development areas we needed assistance with like potty or sleep training.

We've had such a wonderful experience with this nursery. Both of my boys went there and they loved it so much. The management and staff are truly excellent - professional, caring, and always approachable. It's clear how much effort they put into creating a nurturing, fun, and safe environment for the children. My son loves going in every day, and we've seen so much growth in his confidence and development since he started. The nursery has turned him into a young reader and prepared him for school.

We are coming up to our last term with wollaton house and I am so sad it is coming to an end. My son has been attending for three years and I can honestly say he has loved it there. The staff are wonderful and genuinely care and nurture each child. I will be forever grateful for how they have helped him thrive these last few years. Thank you.

My son has been with Wollaton House since he turned one, and will be leaving for big school next month. He has absolutely loved his time there, and his development has been fantastic, I have no concerns around him starting school whatsoever. The staff have gone above and beyond and care about the children so much. My child loves doing PE on Wednesdays and has enjoyed learning Spanish. Most importantly he's made a wonderful group of friends and has always been very happy at nursery. My daughter has also been going for the past year and is getting on great too. A lovely setting with wonderful staff.

Our son started at Wollaton House Day Nursery when he was just 10 months old, and now at two years old, he has absolutely thrived in their care. The dedication and warmth of the staff are truly unmatched, making it the best decision we could have made for him. One of the things we love most is the independent nature of the nursery and their efficient drop-off-at-the-door policy, which gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. The varied food menu is fantastic, and he enjoys every meal. It's such a comfort to know he is eating well while at nursery. Every morning, he is excited to be dropped off, and every evening, he comes home happy, which speaks volumes about the environment the team has created. He has moved through three different rooms so far, and in each one, the staff have been nothing short of incredible- caring, loving, and exactly what you would hope for in an independent nursery. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Wollaton House Day Nursery. Our little girl recently transitioned from the baby room to the toddler room, and the process was seamless. The staff have been incredibly professional, personable, and supportive, making sure she felt comfortable every step of the way. We have had a really positive experience from the day we went to visit the nursery which has continued since our daughter started attending three days a week when she was 10 months old in March 2024. The staff are all very kind, helpful and welcoming and we got the impression quite quickly that the nursery wanted the children attending to feel 'at home' there. The nursery itself had a very vibrant atmosphere in which the children could thrive and their development over the years was being monitored and recorded on a regular basis. The nursery staff have been really helpful in answering some of our queries regarding weaning and sleeping problems and they have become a valuable resource to us if ever we have a query or problem that we are going through regarding our daughter. Our daughter comes back from nursery in a really happy mood and we have no doubt that she has thoroughly enjoyed her day. We would recommend this nursery wholeheartedly.

The manager and the team are always happy to take the time to chat about any queries we have, being able to call on their extensive experience with kids is so helpful and reassuring! I know several 16+ year-olds who have very fond memories of going here in years gone by and they're all very happy + great young adults! In summary, we love this place and the team and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We have 2 children at Wollaton House and they have been so happy there! It's a friendly, welcoming environment. The team go out of their way to ensure the children are nurtured and developed. They are attentive to individual needs, for example, my daughter's dietary needs. Both children have developed independence skills (especially preparing our 4-year-old for school), as well as personal, social and educational- all of this development is carefully recorded and fed back to us during parent's evenings. We are very grateful!
