Partou Scotts Wood Day Nursery & Pre-school

The nursery has a very welcoming and calming environment. The daily activities are interesting and engaging and the facilities are fantastic. The staff are brilliant and I would highly recommend it to anyone, our daughter loved it!

My two boys have been very happy at Scotts Wood Nursery. They both started from the babies room straight up until starting school. The staff in each and every room have been very good at keeping me updated and injecting lots of fun in their nursery life - as well as that balance of care. The quality of food is also very food at the nursery, and all the meat is from a local butcher. My youngest has just left the nursery to start school, and I feel his readiness was completely down to his key worker in Magic Attic. She has been brilliant at getting him ready for school. Thank you to all at the nursery.

The managers are really helpful in dealing with any financial matters and all of the care providers are friendly, approachable and clearly love their jobs.

Lovely atmosphere, caring and engaged staff and nice facilities. Our daughter settled in really well and clearly enjoys her days there. I never worry about leaving her as I know she is in good hands.

I have been extremely pleased with the care and education our twin daughters have received at Scotts Wood since they started when they were 10 months old. The nursery continues to progress and excel themselves as an outstanding nursery.

My daughter attended nursery in the baby room for around six months. She will be returning as soon as I need to put her back into the nursery. The staff are amazing! My daughter's key person really built a bond with her. I always get a daily update on what my daughter has been doing during the day. She has come on leaps and bounds in development since starting and I can’t wait for her to come back to this nursery! Thank you all!

I find the staff professional, well presented and of a cheerful nature. A mix of ages amongst the staff is a great blend of experience and knowledge, which enables my daughter to settle in well with all.

Very much appreciated in the temperatures we reached.

I’m so impressed with this nursery and cannot recommend it enough. I was very anxious about putting my children into the nursery but I got a great feeling about Scotts Wood when we looked around. The facilities are excellent, very homely and the staff are fantastic with lots of experience. My sons have settled in very quickly and can’t wait to get to nursery in the morning (even asking if they can go on a weekend)! Developmentally they’ve come on enormously since starting nursery and the online early learning journal is a great tool, where I can see their progress and key stages. The food is all homemade, very nutritious and the outdoor space is great. Brilliant nursery.

Looking at the menu it also seems to be one of the best places to eat in town.

We are so happy our daughter is at Scotts Wood! The baby room is lovely, full of natural things to explore. The homemade menus look delicious and we often would like to stay there just to eat with them. Our baby actually became a big eater since she started there. Most of all, the staff is simply amazing! Both babies and parents are looked after at drop off and pick-up, which is very important for those like us who don't have family around. They offer a progressive settling-in process, and take time to exchange about your child everytime you meet them. They absolutely respect your child's needs in every area, e.g. make them sleep in the conditions they are used to. In addition to their great care, they find time to regularly update an online learning journey with pictures, explanations about the activities your child discovered and the competencies they developed. Our baby made so much impressive progress since she started nursery there! THANK YOU SCOTTS WOOD! :-)

Scotts Wood is exceptional. My daughters are so happy when I drop them off in the morning which makes me happy too. They come home having had fun all day. The staff make you feel really comfortable and confident and are very supportive. We feel that our decision to move our daughters from a different nursery was a really good one and will really benefit our daughters.

Our two girls started at Scotts Wood in the Summer and the staff have all been so welcoming and really helped them to settle in and feel at home. There's a really caring atmosphere and a lot of time taken to understand what the children are interested in and what they need to develop. It's been lovely to see them both so happy.

A fantastic nursery. My son settled in really well and I feel confident and assured that he is well looked after while I am at work. He has come on in so many ways since starting at Scotts Wood as staff work to the individual needs of the student to ensure they are developing and progressing during their time there.

Our Daughter has been welcomed with open arms and she absolutely loves it at Scotts Wood. In the short space of time, she has been attending she has grown and developed in many ways. So lovely to see her flourish into the toddler she is becoming. Her confidence shines and she developed a great personality. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and put the care of the children first.

Year on year we remain impressed by the standard of care and support provided. The team are genuinely caring and engaging, we will be sad to say goodbye in September!

It was also lovely at the Xmas fete to see everyone out of the nursery and in a different environment, our son really enjoyed himself.

It’s tricky choosing a nursery, there are so many things to consider, but I can honestly say (based on other nurseries my older son attended, and the nurseries my friends' kids go to) that I think Scotts Wood is one of the best, if not the best in West Bridgford.

We love Scotts Wood, our little boy has attended since he was 10 months old. Not only do I attribute some of his development to the nursery, I also feel he is happier as a result of attending. The staff are excellent and seem to genuinely care about the children, their development and well-being. He takes part in far more activities than he would if he were a stay at home baby! Not sure I'd be brave enough to get the paints etc out as the nursery are! It's lovely to see how happy he is when we drop and collect him each day. I think his eating in terms of variety of foods eaten and also his use of fork and spoon etc and a beaker rather than a bottle are all down to the encouragement of the nursery - we didn't do baby-led weaning before nursery and so other than eating some things with his fingers the majority was spoon fed to him - this is a complete turnaround since starting at Scotts Wood. I would and have recommended the nursery to friends with babies.

Our son has been going to Scotts Wood Day nursery for the past 4 months. We can say without hesitation that the nursery is absolutely fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. They are extremely caring and professional, and our son could not be happier there. We have the utmost confidence in their abilities to take care of our little boy to the highest standards of childcare. We would happily recommend the nursery to any of our friends or family.

Our son has been at Scotts Wood for nearly 6 months and I’m thrilled with how well he has settled in. My daughter cried every time I dropped her off for a year at a different nursery but my son feels at home here.
