Partou Scotts Wood Day Nursery & Pre-school has a well-earned reputation as the leading provider of childcare in West Bridgford, offering outstanding care to children aged 3 months to 5 years and are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday, for 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas week).

Located on Selby Road close to West Bridgford town centre and 2 miles from Nottingham Railway Station, the nursery enjoys the benefits of a large character property with airy rooms and an outdoor play area, which the children love and thrive in.

There are separate rooms for babies, toddlers, 2-3 year olds and Pre-School children, furnished with 'age appropriate' toys and resources, ensuring they provide the best standard of care, development and education.

Scotts Wood Day Nursery operates a Key Person policy, ensuring that your child is cared for by a member of staff who gets to know you and your child really well.

Scotts Wood is a very friendly nursery providing a clean and homely environment for our son who is very happy here. It's lovely to see him with a smile on his face when we pick him up which is very reassuring and means we don't worry while at work. My son's skills have developed so much since joining
Scotts Wood. The staff always let us know how his day has been and what he's been up to.
The food is excellent, all freshly cooked and the menu has lots of variety. My son enjoys the food so much that he regularly has two dinners.
The continuity of care is excellent and the staff are enthusiastic and very caring. They have been wonderful when my son has been poorly and nothing seems to phase them. I'm so pleased we chose Scotts Wood.

We have been using Scotts Wood for over 4 years and would highly recommend the nursery. It's extremely family friendly with a caring atmosphere with staff who work hard to really get to know the children they care for. After visiting several nurseries to assess the ability to look after our 2-year-old son (with health complications), Scotts Wood was chosen for their professional approach, friendliness of the staff and a clean and safe environment.
Since attending Scotts Wood, his social development has grown to the
extent of being happy to attend each day and thriving in all aspects of his needs.
The staff involved in our son's care, have been willing to train in additional areas to suit our son's medical needs, over and above what we would have expected.
Our son has a number of medications required at certain times throughout the day, which are given on time and signed for, and a report is also given each day of his activities and progress.
Our son is clearly happy attending the nursery and its a pleasure to see, as parents, we are extremely impressed and comforted by the knowledge our son is in safe loving hands while we attend to our jobs.

Choosing Scotts Wood has been one of the best choices we have ever made, it really is a fantastic place. Right from the settling in visits in the baby room to our 3year old now being in the rainbow room, we often say to one another how thankful we are.
Our son is developing before our eyes into a
clever, kind and confident boy which the staff have encouraged and nurtured so much. He also has complicated food allergies which the cook has been fantastic in accommodating.

I would definitely recommend the nursery to others. I am confident that my son receives the highest level of care whilst at Scotts Wood, so I feel totally relaxed whilst I'm at work. When I pick my son up I can see that he has had a lovely day and always has lots to show me like drawings/paintings etc.
The staff are lovely and really seem to care about the children under their care. They have a nice space to play and it's vibrant.

Scotts Wood is a quite simply fantastic nursery. After looking around several nurseries in the area, I'm so pleased that my partner and I choose Scotts Wood. Since joining at 1 year old, my son has developed his interpersonal skills more than I ever could have imagined.
The staff are all very kind
and caring and the food is all freshly home cooked. I would not hesitate in recommending Scotts Wood to anyone.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 11 months old, they did excellent settling in visits, really thorough on finding out about my daughter so they knew how best to care for her.
I had never left her with anyone else before and they made the whole process really easy with my mind
totally at rest she was in good hands. My daughter is now 2 and loves going to nursery. She transitioned from the baby room up to the toddler room without a hitch and loves the outdoor area they have.
I love getting all the pictures she's done, seeing that they do a wide range of activities and she has come on leaps and bounds confidence-wise with others. I can't remember the last time I picked her up and she hadn't had seconds on dinners so the food must be a winner too.
Highly recommended nursery!

Very friendly atmosphere and my daughter enjoys her time there very much.

Scotts Wood is a fantastic nursery and I would recommend them.
Their baby room is lovely and small so the babies get to know their carers quickly. The toddler and rainbow rooms have plenty for them to do, whilst being well looked after by the lovely staff.

The best nursery ever! The manager is very accommodating and always doing her best to help you.

Scotts Wood Nursery was recommended to me by a friend a few years ago when my now 5-year-old son attended. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Scotts Wood and built up a fantastic relationship with the staff. My 3-year-old son has now recently started and again has settled in well. He has formed a close
relationship with the staff and enjoys coming to nursery. I have found the staff so helpful and accommodating in working with my shift patterns on occasions if necessary.

My child loves going to Scotts Wood Nursery, the staff are very caring and take the time to find out what your child likes doing and plan activities around this. We were initially concerned how she would settle in as she wasn't comfortable with new people, the staff have worked really hard to help her
settle in and we have watched her grow and thrive and become a much more confident child. Sometimes when I pick her up, she doesn't seem to want to leave! The food is excellent with lots of choice, all cooked fresh and if your child doesn't like something they will rustle up something different in the kitchen.

Conveniently located in central West Bridgford, the nursery is well maintained and provides a good range of age appropriate play equipment and learning based activities in 4 separate rooms. Scotts Wood Selby Road is like our second family. Both our daughter and son have attended since they were 8 months old and have blossomed thanks to the excellent care provided by the staff. Our children are very happy there and the nursery strikes an excellent balance between fun, learning and clear
boundaries. Our daughter is starting school in September and it will be a bittersweet moment when she 'graduates' from Scotts Wood this summer!

I visited this nursery after going to settling in sessions at another nursery in the area and feeling very uncomfortable. All of my fears dissolved when I met the team at Scotts Wood. I've happily placed my daughter at the nursery and she is thriving. We never once have had tears and tantrums as I hand
her over. The same people work in the baby room every day so there is consistency for baby and parents. It has made returning to work much easier and I know I made the right choice. A calm, friendly and caring environment.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked at Scott’s Wood since 2001 and am very proud to be the Manager of such a beautiful and high quality ‘Early Years’ setting. I am committed to further improving our already very high standards, and creating an exceptional ‘Early Years’ experience for babies and young children here in the leafy suburbs of West Bridgford.


Early years has always been my passion and while working here at Scott’s Wood I have completed both a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Education, and BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies and I use my extended knowledge and understanding daily to ensure that we provide the very best environments and experiences for both our children and their parents.
