Kindred Lowdham Nursery and Pre-school occupies a beautiful Georgian house and provides a friendly, home from home environment supported by warm, caring and mature staff that have extensive childcare experience.

The nursery also offers before and after school care for children attending local schools. There is a lovely all-weather outdoor play area with fantastic climbing equipment.

There is also an allotment where the preschool children can grow vegetables. As well as providing all the usual activities quality day nurseries provide, specialist practitioners provide extra special classes - Forest schools, French, Music and Movement and Yoga. The nursery is happy to accept all nursery vouchers and offer Nursery Grant places. All meals are prepared and cooked on the premises.

We have been using the nursery now for our second child , after such a brilliant experience with our first. It's been amazing to also see that even though there was a few years between using Kindred with our children, that the same staff are there which shows how great the place is! Our son loves to
go in, and he does a wide variety of activities every time. All the staff are friendly and it makes leaving him so much easier. The updates on the app throughout the day really helps to reassure you that they're safe and well looked after!

Kindred Nursery Lowdham is a fantastic setting for young children. My child has been attending since 13 months old (he's now 27 months), and all of the aged rooms he's been in so far are lovely. The staff are all excellent and do so much for the children, with a typical day being packed with a variety
of activities to encourage learning and development. Food provision is also very good and nutritious, my child loves the meals! Management is also very good and quick to help with questions. There is a very useful app where as parents we receive updates on how much they eat, nap, nappy changes... Also weekly updates of their week with several pictures of what they've been doing.
To summarise, my child loves going into nursery every day which is all we could ask for as parents.
Would thoroughly recommend Kindred Nursery Lowdham to other parents and guardians of young children.

We have been really pleased with our experience of Kindred Lowdham. Our baby settled really well, the staff are so caring. The food is good. There are plenty of developmentally appropriate activities for the children. Communication is really good on the app. The manager is very approachable and responsive.

I feel happy and confident leaving my son in the capable hands of this nursery. Communication on the app throughout the day is fantastic. He has improved on his speech and counting all of a sudden since starting. Good tasty meals are provided and all the staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming.

Great nursery cook as my child has allergies. Great to know he’s included in activities eg. baking/messy play.
Great app to see how they are doing throughout the day which I love.
My other children went to this nursery too, the manager is friendly and professional and happy to help. Definitely recommend

My daughter started at Kindred at the beginning of February and as the same as most babies got upset for the first week or two but the staff in Curiosity Crescent went above and beyond to make her feel welcome. Not with just day-to-day activities but with love and care. She is now happy going into the
nursery and has even started putting her arms out to staff at the front door with a big smile. I am also very impressed with the variety of food offered to the children. Thank you for welcoming us into Kindred so kindly and professionally.

After making the decision to remove our twin boys from their previous early years setting, it’s been a breath of fresh air since they began at Kindred Lowdham and a totally stress-free experience. We can’t fault the quality of care given by all the staff members and our boys are extremely happy to attend
nursery. The environment itself is just lovely. Thorough handovers are given at the end of each day and do not feel rushed which is really refreshing. We’re so happy that they are coming home well fed too, the menu is fantastic. We can’t fault our experience so far.

I moved from another county to Alphabet House and was very apprehensive because of all the changes my daughter was experiencing due to divorce. Alphabet House/Kindred Lowdham Nursery & Pre-school staff were incredibly supportive and can honestly say it feels like a little family. They are very attentive
to all of my daughter's needs and development milestones. My daughter is thriving in this very loving and supportive environment. Compared to the last nursery, you can tell the staff love to be there, love the children and have excellent relationships with them rather than it just being a job. The staff really care and go out of their way to support me and my daughter. The manager is fantastic and clearly promotes a happy environment, full of fun, curiosity and wonder.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kindred to other parents; the staff in the baby room are so kind, warm and it feels like they really actually enjoy looking after our child. Given that the baby room is often people’s first experience of a childcare setting, the staff in there are a credit to the nursery.
Our child had some specific medical needs to be taken in to account and the staff took this so seriously, they really reassured us that our child would be well cared for.

Kindred Lowdham Nursery & Pre-school provides excellent care. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They put effort into all the activities that they run and genuinely care about the children. I feel that they set strong boundaries and have high expectations of the children, encouraging independence

My child always receives outstanding care and attention! She is so happy when arriving at nursery and she always comes home with lots of excitement to show me what she has made. The staff are so welcoming and enthusiastic, putting me, as a parent, at ease as I know she will have an amazing day.

regular updates and photos throughout the day which is so lovely to see what she is up to!
The manager is so lovely too and goes above and beyond every day in everything she does, I cannot praise her more highly! Cannot fault the nursery at all and the smile on my little girl's face every day shows me I made the right decision in choosing the nursery for her.

The team at Kindred Lowdham Nursery & Pre-school are amazing at what they do, my little girl absolutely loves her time there. Each week there are so many different activities and my daughter brings home wonderful things she has created during the week. The food choices are wonderful, it’s brilliant
how many different foods she tries there. The managers and the wider team are super friendly and genuinely care about making sure our little girl has a fun-filled day every time she goes. Highly recommend!

After an unsettling time for my little one whose previous nursery was very suddenly closed, I chose Alphabet House. She has settled so quickly and seems to have made some good development progress in the short time she has been there. She is happy to attend, tells me lots of wonderful things that she’s

We cannot rate Alphabet House highly enough! My 11-month-old daughter started at nursery in the new year. We had never left her before so was nervous to see how she would settle. The staff have been amazing from day one with helping her settle and easing our nerves about leaving her. They asked about
her routine and what she enjoys doing to try and make her feel as happy and comfortable at nursery as possible. She has been off a few days due to illness but she is always happy to return to nursery to see the staff and see the other children. We also love seeing her weekly online posts to see all the wonderful activities she has been doing during the week.

I’m originally from Manchester and moved down here over 8 years ago to be closer to family — something that has always been very important to me.
