Windermere Day Nursery is a beautiful purpose built day nursery, developed on behalf of Kettering General Hospital to care for the children of Trust employees and of the local community. The nursery has a homely and friendly atmosphere, with a team of highly qualified and experienced staff to inspire and develop your child's skills.

Children are taught to care about the world they live in and the nursery is proud to have gained an Eco Schools Green Flag Award.

At Windermere children have six main playrooms for individual age groups. The outside area consists of a sectioned garden, comprising of grassy areas and also individual garden areas for each age group. This ensures the children have access to a variety of outdoor stimulation with an opportunity to explore, learn and play.

Our daughter leaves nursery this month to start school. Windermere and all her staff have given her the best possible start on her formative years. I am very pleased with my kid at Windermere Day Nursery (Kettering), the staff are amazing and super. I didn't have a single doubt after my first son spent 2 years here to leaving my second son wasn't a worry at all and to say he started somewhere else but didn't fit in but when I moved him to Windermere
Day Nursery (Kettering), he was perfectly fine.


If I were to have another child in the future will still book him or her to Windermere Day Nursery (Kettering) again. Thank you Windermere Day Nursery (Kettering) for your time, patience and care for my boys.

I am extremely impressed with my son's progress and learning in pre-school 1. It has really excelled since joining the class. He enjoys coming to the nursery and looks forward to the activities. My daughter has been coming to Windermere since 11 months old. Since being here she has just thrived. Her personality has come out and she is always so happy. Her social skills are fantastic and she loves playing with the other children. Her development has been incredible since starting Windermere
Nursery. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. It's fantastic!

The ladies in the butterfly room are always helpful with encouraging my child to come into nursery.
They give excellent care and feedback when I collect my child. He always comes home from nursery happy and telling me about his day.

As soon as I walked into Windermere I knew it was right... The rooms are a great size and always clean, with stimulating resources and equipment. My son has only been at the nursery for nearly two months and has settled very well. The staff are all very welcoming and knowledgeable. I love that in the
baby room there is a room allocated for sleep and their own little outdoor space.
Overall very happy and would recommend it!

My experience with Windermere Day Nursery has been wonderful, I couldn’t ask for a better nursery. They have helped my child to learn and grow as well as helping and guiding me and my wife along the way. The staff and manager really look out for us and are so caring, they keep us updated with activities
in the nursery and how my son is doing. He has had a lovely time at the nursery and has grown attached to it. My family and I have certainly noticed an improvement in my child's interaction, he is confident and sociable and swiftly adjusts to having more children around him. Thank you, Windermere Day Nursery and all the staff working there for taking care of us! I would definitely recommend this nursery, you won’t be left disappointed.

Amy McCulloch

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2018

Amy is the Manager of Windermere Day Nursery in Kettering and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 29 years. Amy worked as a Manager for 17 years at her previous setting, before joining Childbase Partnership and becoming manager in 2018. Amy has numerous qualifications, including her Level 3 in Childcare.


What is your favourite feature of Windermere?
My favourite feature is the large and spacious garden which is quiet and calming with lots of areas for the children to explore. The nursery rooms are not only separated for the age groups but also have separate rooms within those areas, allowing lots of free flow for the children to aid us in creating fantastic, engaging, enabling environments.


I am most proud of the long-standing experienced team, that works together supporting each other and sharing ideas and knowledge of the children we care for to make sure each child experiences the best day every day. There is a good team spirit on the whole and a “want to achieve attitude”.
