Windermere Day Nursery is a beautiful purpose built day nursery, developed on behalf of Kettering General Hospital to care for the children of Trust employees and of the local community. The nursery has a homely and friendly atmosphere, with a team of highly qualified and experienced staff to inspire and develop your child's skills.

The ladies in the butterfly room are always helpful with encouraging my child to come into nursery.

They give excellent care and feedback when I collect my child. He always comes home from nursery happy and telling me about his day.

The nursery takes special care of individual children based on their specific needs. The child carers are extremely approachable and sincere. Hygiene level is good. Would highly recommend.

As soon as I walked into Windermere I knew it was right... The rooms are a great size and always clean, with stimulating resources and equipment. My son has only been at the nursery for nearly two months and has settled very well. The staff are all very welcoming and knowledgeable. I love that in the baby room there is a room allocated for sleep and their own little outdoor space.

Overall very happy and would recommend it!

My experience with Windermere Day Nursery has been wonderful, I couldn’t ask for a better nursery. They have helped my child to learn and grow as well as helping and guiding me and my wife along the way. The staff and manager really look out for us and are so caring, they keep us updated with activities in the nursery and how my son is doing. He has had a lovely time at the nursery and has grown attached to it. My family and I have certainly noticed an improvement in my child's interaction, he is confident and sociable and swiftly adjusts to having more children around him. Thank you, Windermere Day Nursery and all the staff working there for taking care of us! I would definitely recommend this nursery, you won’t be left disappointed.

My son loves the nursery because of the kind and friendly atmosphere. The manager is very accommodating and flexible. He loves the food and always eats it all up. There is a great variety in the menu.

My son started in Windermere Nursery. At the start he was afraid, he doesn't speak English because we are from Slovakia. At 3 years old he got free funding and from this time, he changed - he loves all the activities, started talking English, start drawing, writing, counting.

I am very happy with this nursery and my daughter now attends :)

Professional, caring and supportive staff, who always smile when we arrive to pick up our children.
They are always smartly dressed and have created a wonderful atmosphere within the nursery.

The staff at Windermere Day Nursery are a friendly, approachable and kind bunch whose priority is the optimal development of the children in their care. Windermere has been great for my daughter. She has settled in very quickly.

The staff are all extremely friendly and already know her by name.

Her confidence and speech have improved since starting nursery in January. The range of different activities is excellent.

Both of my children have developed so well at the nursery. They both enjoy the activities, the environment, the staff and the food. When we moved we could have chosen a nursery closer to home but didn't as the children love it.

My daughters love coming to Windermere Day Nursery (Kettering). The staff are lovely and friendly to my girls and the activities are 'WOW'. The meals are awesome and nutritional. The management are exceptional and supportive. The garden is really big and my girls love being out there.

Amy McCulloch
Amy McCullochJob Title:Nursery ManagerJoined: 2018

Amy is the Manager of Windermere Day Nursery in Kettering and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 29 years. Amy worked as a Manager for 17 years at her previous setting, before joining Childbase Partnership and becoming manager in 2018. Amy has numerous qualifications, including her Level 3 in Childcare.

What is your favourite feature of Windermere?

My favourite feature is the large and spacious garden which is quiet and calming with lots of areas for the children to explore. The nursery rooms are not only separated for the age groups but also have separate rooms within those areas, allowing lots of free flow for the children to aid us in creating fantastic, engaging, enabling environments.

I am most proud of the long-standing experienced team, that works together supporting each other and sharing ideas and knowledge of the children we care for to make sure each child experiences the best day every day. There is a good team spirit on the whole and a “want to achieve attitude”.
