It's been a fabulous nursery for both my children they thoroughly enjoyed their time there, they both made great relationships with staff in all their rooms, & throughout the nursery, it has been a great environment for them.
We love Windermere, my two children have been so happy there and couldn't recommend it enough. We have always found the staff so welcoming and have supported our children from the baby room all the way to pre school. My oldest has just started in Reception at school, and I think he has been so confident and adapted so well to school life due to the care and preparation provided by the nursery.
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Windermere. Over the years, the team has played such an important role in helping our son grow, both in confidence and independence. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm, caring, and encouraging, creating a safe and nurturing environment where he has truly thrived.
We've watched him develop new skills, make wonderful friendships, and discover a real love for learning. The activities are always creative and engaging, and it's clear how much thought goes into supporting each child's individual needs and strengths.
Most importantly, the nursery has helped our son build the confidence and readiness he needs for the next chapter at school. We feel so grateful for the strong foundation they've given him, and we know he will carry these positive experiences with him as he moves forward.
Thank you to all the staff for your kindness, dedication, and support. You've made such a difference in his journey.
My daughter has just finished nursery as she has now started school but she had been at Windermere since she was 12 months old. She has always been fairly settled in each room. The staff are friendly & I'm always impressed that each staff member knows a child's name even if not currently in their own room. The toy areas are rotated regularly so the children don't get bored. The Pre school room prepared my daughter well for school, she is now settling in well at school but still misses her nursery teachers & friends. Thank you Windermere!
I can't find more words to describe my experience with this wonderful place which is looking after my little one making beautiful memories in the same time.
We had no doubts that our daughter would settle in well to this nursery as our eldest daughter attended and thrived. However, it is always an anxious time starting back at full time work with a 9 month old baby. A particular staff member and all the staff in the Caterpillar Room were absolutely fantastic and made the experience for me much less stressful during this transition. I know she loves nursery as she lunges to cuddle her teacher in the mornings and blows her kisses upon pick up! She is always eating nutritious food which gives me ideas at home as I know what she likes and dislikes and she sleeps very well which suggests she is very comfortable in her surroundings. The nursery manager is also an asset to the nursery. Thank you all.
They have had a huge impact on our boys and we could not thank the staff more for how they've helped shape our boy's lives.
All the staff are amazing however I must give a couple of shout-outs as they had two favourites they bonded with.
One staff member in particular who is so kind and patient and is a real asset to the team and another who they bonded with is such a great way. She was there to comfort them when they were upset and support them every day. More importantly, she always made us feel like the boys were safe and cared for! I honestly can not thank them enough...
I'll finish with what the boys last said, see you later stinkers... and thank you for everything!
There is always a warm welcome, our children love coming and they're always asking if it's nursery day which for us speaks volumes. Any concerns or worries you may have or raise are actually listened to and taken seriously, which as a first-time mum was reassuring. Staff actually take an interest in the interests/home lives of our little ones. We are very We have been through all the rooms in the nursery and they have loved each room. We couldn't be prouder of them and how much they have come on. And that's down to each member of staff for creating a safe and secure environment for them to learn.
The nursery is truly excellent. The staff here are warm, attentive and genuinely care about my daughter's overall development. The facilities are well-maintained and offer a wonderful environment for learning and play. Communication with parents is very prompt and most importantly my daughter enjoys going here, which speaks volumes about the positive experience she's having. I highly recommend this nursery for its dedication to providing a nurturing and enriching early childhood experience.
Our experience with them for both our daughters is really good and unforgettable.
All Windermere staff are really nice, good, caring and respectful.
Her transfer to the bumble bee room in March this year was easy. Her confidence is growing and she is developing some lovely friendships with the support of the wonderful staff.
Friendly staff, lots of good activities for kids to do. My child has learned so much from being at Windermere and has really kicked on in development.
Everyone knows my child's name even if they don't work in her room and I know she loves coming in.
All staff are welcoming every day and work together with the parent for any need.
I am very happy with the nursery and the activities they do with the children. My little one has improved a lot since she joined the nursery. The staff are lovely to the children and caring.
Our daughter is always extremely happy to come to nursery and really enjoys her time at Windermere. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We feel that our daughter is very well supported in her learning and has lots of opportunities to take part in many amazing activities. The staff show a good understanding of our daughter's needs and care routines and support her really well with these.
Staff are friendly and seem to care about each child.
I would just like to see more awareness about sleeping routines.
Meals are varied and reasonably balanced - I would like to see more flexibility with babies that don't eat as well.
Overall it has been a good experience.
Our youngest really struggled with separation and would cry when being dropped off and collected. After just a few short weeks he started practically jumping out of my arms to get to the staff. The physical and mental development that the nursery provides is clear to see in the children and their social skills are just wonderful.
There are not enough words to express how much we love and how impressed we have been since our daughter started at Windemere Nursery. She initially found going to nursery a little tricky and the staff went above and beyond to settle her. She now goes into nursery happily every day and absolutely loves it when she is there. From the wonderful staff, tasty meals, exciting activities and overall outstanding care they offer to both parents and children we could not recommend this nursery more! Having our daughter at Windemere has definitely helped with my return to work and we will forever be grateful for everything they have done.
Really happy with the ladies in the Caterpillar Room. My child going to nursery. I know that they take good care of him and always give him a great day! He also loves the food and has been known to go back for second helpings.

Meet the Team (1)
Amy is the Manager of Windermere Day Nursery in Kettering and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 29 years. Amy worked as a Manager for 17 years at her previous setting, before joining Childbase Partnership and becoming manager in 2018. Amy has numerous qualifications, including her Level 3 in Childcare.
My favourite feature is the large and spacious garden which is quiet and calming with lots of areas for the children to explore. The nursery rooms are not only separated for the age groups but also have separate rooms within those areas, allowing lots of free flow for the children to aid us in creating fantastic, engaging, enabling environments.
I am most proud of the long-standing experienced team, that works together supporting each other and sharing ideas and knowledge of the children we care for to make sure each child experiences the best day every day. There is a good team spirit on the whole and a “want to achieve attitude”.
