The Parade Day Nursery - Abington

My daughter has been at the Parade Day Nursery for three years, and I don't have a negative word to say, it is a fantastic early years setting. The staff are welcoming, caring and professional. The volume and variety of activities, arts and crafts, and play that they do each day is impressive. There's never a dull day. I'd happily recommend this nursery setting in a heartbeat, and I'm so pleased I choose it for my little girl.

My daughter has been at the Parade since she was 11 months old and has enjoyed every day. The nursery staff are very caring, honest and welcoming. My daughter loves the staff as her second family and talks about them and the other children all the time. As well as being a nurturing environment they have helped to shape my daughter's personality and she is very sociable, chatty and likes to try new things. The staff keep you regularly updated about day-to-day activities and always greet my daughter with a smile. She strolls into nursery every day without a worry in the world and has built solid friendships and trust with the other children and staff.

My Daughter has been at the Parade since she was 6 months and will soon be getting ready to move on to school and I'd just love her to stay at the nursery for the caring and nurturing environment it has been. I have nothing but praise for the nursery, the staff are all warm, welcoming, caring and friendly. They all know my daughter and have helped shape the little person she is. My daughter talks about the staff in her room, she enjoys spending time with two members of staff, in particular. Each room she has been in she has had a well bonded member of staff she can go too, when she first started. They are all responsive and any questions you ask on drop off or collection are answered. I would highly recommend the manager and the team at the Parade.

Wonderful staff, like a home from home for my children. Always attentive and supportive towards the children and their individual needs. They have also tailored for my child’s dietary needs, which I feel goes over and beyond.

I moved my son to the parade when he was 18 months old and I have been extremely happy with the care he has been given. He is now about to leave for school and they have made sure he is 100% ready to do so. His confidence has come on so much that my little shy boy isn’t refusing to do things and will go off on his own without my support. All the staff have been fantastic and each of his key workers have been amazing. He loves the food provided and the activities he does. COVID restrictions have made some events difficult but they have gone that extra mile to make sure the children can do the activities within the setting. Feedback and daily entry’s to the parents' app have been consistent so I know how he’s getting on and the activities he has been part of have been recorded for me to view. I will be really sad that I will no longer be visiting the nursery. But if I have another there I will absolutely be sending them to the parade. It is a wonderful nursery!

When we first looked around the nursery, the manager greeted us and answered all of our questions during the visit. There was an emphasis on children coming first, and the need for a happy environment to help nurture learning. I was particularly pleased to see they had more than one room for babies, so they could manage any soiling situation promptly and with great cleanliness without disrupting play - something I had noticed was not the case at a nearby nursery. The rooms were cleaned, staff friendly and it really felt like a home from home. When my daughter started at the nursery she was encouraged to meet all of her learning intentions with tips for us to help her develop at home. I love the two-way communication between parents and the nursery. My daughter has grown in confidence and is smashing all of her learning intentions and is advanced in most areas. This to me, means she is happy to learn there with the right amount of care, attention and encouragement.

I have sent all three of my children to the parade and could not be happier. The staff are fantastic, all of my children have loved the nursery and the support provided during the pandemic was amazing. I am so thankful for the parade and all that they do.

My daughter has been at the nursery for a little while now and goes two days a week and really looks forward to going. Watching her grow and learn new things every week and that’s down to the staff members who look after her, they are amazing couldn’t ask for better people caring for my daughter.

My little boy had never been in any childcare setting he settled in really well and gets so excited when he knows it's nursery days. Friendly helpful and caring staff are always on hand if I need help or advice.

My son started at the Parade just after he turned 1 and will be leaving in a few weeks to start school. In that time, he has thrived and has a special bond with so many of the team. Following a long break last year due to shielding, his development regressed; however as a result of the guidance, support and perseverance of the team in the pre school room, he has come on leaps and bounds. I cannot speak more highly of the team, who are all wonderful, and we will miss them tremendously when he starts school.

Such a great nursery. It has been great all through lockdown and Covid. My daughter loves it there the staff are all so friendly and supportive. My daughter is off to school in September and will miss going here and miss all the staff. I would give this nursery a 5 stars.

My daughter has attended the nursery for nearly a year now and she has come on so well, the staff are so lovely and friendly, I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone at is looking for childcare.

We have always found the nursery to be very supportive and they are good at providing updates on progress. When we came for our initial visit we were impressed with how clean everything was and how much they was asking us about our son. The manager is always available, if needed, and gets involved with all the kids as well as managing the nursery. Most days my child runs in and always has a smile on his face at the end of the day. Not sure what else you need.

The staff is really polite and friendly. All of my children loved to walk to that nursery. I’m really happy about everything in the nursery

My son has been coming to the parade since 10months old and is due to leave this summer to start school, my son has had the best experience and care at The Parade with the nicest staff who have all cared for my son, his knowledge and confidence has grown so much over the years and he absolutely loves coming to nursery.

All the staff are very helpful and supportive. My child loves attending nursery three days per week. It is very well managed and I am kept fully updated with my child’s progress. Any issues or queries are dealt with quickly. It’s a great nursery.

From the first week of our daughter starting at the nursery, we noticed a real improvement in her development (she started at 9 months old!). Now at 2, she absolutely loves it. She always gets excited to go. On the days she isn’t there, she talks about what she has done, the friends she is excited to see, and how much she likes the staff there. As a parent, it’s such a relief to know that while we are working that she is in a safe and caring environment. All the staff, on all levels from the manager to the key workers are friendly, responsive and helpful when we have had any questions about how she is doing. Every person we know who is looking for a nursery, we have recommended The Parade Day Nursery - Abington every time. We couldn’t be more thankful to all the staff for all they do to make it such a fun, informative and safe place for our daughter.

It is a very clean venue with excellent staff and management, good food and a lot of activities. The app is excellent showing all the time what your child is doing at the nursery including dietary intake, activities, sleep time, incidents/accidents and much more.

An amazing nursery! We tried a few nurseries but our daughter never seemed to settle, however at The Parade Day Nursery - Abington she settled in very quickly and looked forward to every day she spent here. The whole team really do go above and beyond to make sure both children and parents are happy. Our daughter has thrived here over the past 2 years and comes home every day with a smile on her face and happy memories to share. We have no doubt that our next child will also attend this nursery when we are ready.

I always recommend the Parade day nursery to anyone I know with nursery age children. My daughter transitioned to this nursery from a previous nursery she had been attending with me working there with her, too. She really struggled to leave me and go in with the staff from the Parade day nursery, but they welcomed her and made her feel safe and she created great bonds with her teachers and key person. The preschool room, in particular, has been great with her, she talks regularly about the staff there and will be moving on to go to school soon! I love that the nursery itself is not overcrowded with children and they are split to go into separate groups and I feel it is a more personal setting than others and the staff have more time to get to know the children and their preferences. My child also loves that they participate in french classes and visit the local park, too. Overall, good experience and very thoughtful activities surrounding events in year. i.e mothers day. 10/10 xx
