Parade Day Nursery provides nursery care and education for children from three months to school age. Priding itself on excellent partnerships with parents and carers, the nursery offers a secure and stimulating environment to nurture children’s development and growth.

The nursery has four age-appropriate rooms for children aged three to eighteen months, eighteen months to two years, two to three years, and three to five years. Each room offers resources and activities specially designed according to the ages of the children.

Preschool children, aged three to five years, participate in activities designed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, with priority given to language, numeracy, creativity and social development.

The nursery holds regular meetings with external advisers and other nursery settings to monitor progress and ensure staff are up-to-date with relevant ideas, issues and policies.

Parade Day Nursery offers a high staff to children ratio and a number of state of the art security features, such as 24-hour CCTV and a multi-door entrance system. Doors also have finger shields and anti-slam fittings and floor and work surface are safe and hygienic, so parents know that their children are cared for in a safe environment.

When we first looked around the nursery, the manager greeted us and answered all of our questions during the visit. There was an emphasis on children coming first, and the need for a happy environment to help nurture learning. I was particularly pleased to see they had more than one room for babies,
so they could manage any soiling situation promptly and with great cleanliness without disrupting play - something I had noticed was not the case at a nearby nursery. The rooms were cleaned, staff friendly and it really felt like a home from home. When my daughter started at the nursery she was encouraged to meet all of her learning intentions with tips for us to help her develop at home. I love the two-way communication between parents and the nursery. My daughter has grown in confidence and is smashing all of her learning intentions and is advanced in most areas. This to me, means she is happy to learn there with the right amount of care, attention and encouragement.

I have sent all three of my children to the parade and could not be happier. The staff are fantastic, all of my children have loved the nursery and the support provided during the pandemic was amazing. I am so thankful for the parade and all that they do.

My son started at the Parade just after he turned 1 and will be leaving in a few weeks to start school. In that time, he has thrived and has a special bond with so many of the team. Following a long break last year due to shielding, his development regressed; however as a result of the guidance, support
and perseverance of the team in the pre school room, he has come on leaps and bounds. I cannot speak more highly of the team, who are all wonderful, and we will miss them tremendously when he starts school.

My daughter has been at the nursery for a little while now and goes two days a week and really looks forward to going. Watching her grow and learn new things every week and that’s down to the staff members who look after her, they are amazing couldn’t ask for better people caring for my daughter.

Such a great nursery. It has been great all through lockdown and Covid. My daughter loves it there the staff are all so friendly and supportive. My daughter is off to school in September and will miss going here and miss all the staff. I would give this nursery a 5 stars.

An amazing nursery! We tried a few nurseries but our daughter never seemed to settle, however at The Parade Day Nursery - Abington she settled in very quickly and looked forward to every day she spent here. The whole team really do go above and beyond to make sure both children and parents are happy.
Our daughter has thrived here over the past 2 years and comes home every day with a smile on her face and happy memories to share. We have no doubt that our next child will also attend this nursery when we are ready.

It is a very clean venue with excellent staff and management, good food and a lot of activities. The app is excellent showing all the time what your child is doing at the nursery including dietary intake, activities, sleep time, incidents/accidents and much more.

From the first week of our daughter starting at the nursery, we noticed a real improvement in her development (she started at 9 months old!). Now at 2, she absolutely loves it. She always gets excited to go. On the days she isn’t there, she talks about what she has done, the friends she is excited to
see, and how much she likes the staff there. As a parent, it’s such a relief to know that while we are working that she is in a safe and caring environment. All the staff, on all levels from the manager to the key workers are friendly, responsive and helpful when we have had any questions about how she is doing. Every person we know who is looking for a nursery, we have recommended The Parade Day Nursery - Abington every time. We couldn’t be more thankful to all the staff for all they do to make it such a fun, informative and safe place for our daughter.

All the staff are very helpful and supportive. My child loves attending nursery three days per week. It is very well managed and I am kept fully updated with my child’s progress. Any issues or queries are dealt with quickly. It’s a great nursery.

This is my third child who is walking to that nursery. Never had any issues with anything.

We have always found the nursery to be very supportive and they are good at providing updates on progress. When we came for our initial visit we were impressed with how clean everything was and how much they was asking us about our son. The manager is always available, if needed, and gets involved with
all the kids as well as managing the nursery. Most days my child runs in and always has a smile on his face at the end of the day. Not sure what else you need.

My daughter was at The Parade for 3 years and now my son is here. Both started at 10 months, what a fantastic place, my children love going to nursery, all members of staff ( I say staff are more like family) are great easy to talk to, nothing is too much trouble. I love this nursery.
My youngest son has been attending for the past two years and previous to that his elder brother was there for four years. I can still remember the original search for a nursery, somewhere I would feel happy and comfortable to leave my baby, and as soon as we stepped foot in The
Parade Day Nursery I just had the feeling that this was the right place. The staff were wonderful, the other children all seemed happy and well cared for. I can say after 6 years my instincts were right! Both my boys love it here!

I always recommend the Parade day nursery to anyone I know with nursery age children. My daughter transitioned to this nursery from a previous nursery she had been attending with me working there with her, too. She really struggled to leave me and go in with the staff from the Parade day nursery, but
they welcomed her and made her feel safe and she created great bonds with her teachers and key person. The preschool room, in particular, has been great with her, she talks regularly about the staff there and will be moving on to go to school soon! I love that the nursery itself is not overcrowded with children and they are split to go into separate groups and I feel it is a more personal setting than others and the staff have more time to get to know the children and their preferences. My child also loves that they participate in french classes and visit the local park, too. Overall, good experience and very thoughtful activities surrounding events in year. i.e mothers day. 10/10 xx

My daughter has been going to the Parade since she was about 14-months old, and is now four and a half. She has always loved nursery, and I believe this is due to the fantastic staff and the wide range of activities the children take part in. Before COVID-19, the children would regularly go to the library
and visit the local park and care home. I love the app and look forward to seeing what activities the children have enjoyed. My daughter really loved the weekly swimming sessions at the local pool too. She’s coming up to her last weeks at the nursery before she starts school, and will be sad to leave as she really loves all the staff and friends she has made! I feel The Parade has really helped prepare her for school. Thank you to all the amazing team at the Parade!

Fantastic staff, I had and still have one child at the nursery, my kids loved it, every single bit of it. They got so attached to the teachers, I had trust in them.

Jade has a Level 3 early years childcare qualification and has 17 years’ experience in childcare covering all age groups and in a variety of different childcare environments. Jade is complimented by a strong, dedicated team, which helps to create a warm and homely environment where children really do flourish. The majority of the staff have or are working towards their level 3 childcare qualification.
