Amazing nursery! I have 2 children here with my first starting in January 2023. All staff members are friendly, approachable and lovely, my boys always have so much fun when they attend and my eldest will tell me all about what fun activities he has done throughout the day. If I've ever had any questions staff will always be there to help and nothing is ever too much for them. I would 100% recommend this nursery to any parents it really is a lovely, nurturing setting for them.

I cannot praise the nursery enough. My child has thrived since starting. Staff know them so well and cater to their interests. I feel safe leaving my child here. When you are a parent returning from Maternity it is hard to leave them, but I had one less worry knowing he was going to such an amazing place. We just attended a very adorable 'graduation' for our daughter who is entering school in September. Throughout her 3 plus years at Children 1st @ Wragby Road, she has been so well supported by the lovely staff in every room she's been in. It's a fantastic space but it's the staff that make the place and I can't quite count the wonderful things they've done for her over the years. Our daughter is a bit of a shy and watchful kid but the patience, care, and understanding amongst staff has us feeling more confident about school and the regular parent interaction is really lovely as well. We will miss them!

Having only been away from us on a few occasions for a few hours, we were surprised how happy she was on her first day or nursery. The staff were more than happy to answer my calls when checking in on her over her first few days at nursery.
She has grown in confidence and independence. She has a massive smile on her face at drop off and pick up.
She enjoys all of the different activities and toys she can play with and I love hearing all about her day at pick up.
She enjoys all of the meals that have expanded her taste and is starting to build her confidence with using cutlery.

Her development from her time at nursery has been very noticeable at home. It's always a nice surprise when she shows you what she has learnt to do at nursery (my favourite so far has been the hand gestures for wheels on the bus)

My little boy has been at this nursery for over a year now. I'm continually blown away by the care that he receives. He has formed a brilliant bond with his key worker and is so excited to go in and play with his friends. This makes it so easy for me to drop him off, knowing that he is always enjoying his day. He is currently transitioning to a new room. The staff are so supportive in making this easier for him. I truly feel that they care about his needs and wellbeing which I believe shows how they value their role in the nursery setting. I have always felt able to talk to the staff about any problems and they have always been supportive to myself as a parent. I cannot rate this nursery any higher. The team are truly wonderful!

The staff are absolutely lovely - I feel completely comfortable leaving her in their care. She learns so much, and there are plenty of engaging activities to keep her busy and happy. She knows all the staff from all the rooms, and they always are happy to see her. The food is varied; she tries lots of different things, and the staff are great at catching you up with you at the end of the day.

Hello, my name is Joanna Parker and I joined Children 1st in 2018. I completed my NNEB and have worked in various roles within nurseries, working my way up from Nursery Nurse to Nursery Manager.
I’m particularly proud of achieving my Foundation Degree in Early Years through the Open University while working, which gave me a Level 5 qualification.
I really enjoy working with families — from welcoming them on their very first visit to seeing them begin their nursery journey with us. I love organising family events and creating opportunities for them to be part of nursery life.
I feel very passionate about making sure every family feels included in our setting and knows they can turn to us for support whenever they need it. I’m also proud to work alongside an amazing team who go above and beyond every day to provide high-quality learning and care for every child. Supporting my team and helping each member reach their full potential is something I value highly in my role.
