Fantastic nursery with so many learning experiences for the children. All staff are kind and supportive and provide the best care for my children. The baby room is also fantastic and my little boy has the best time here.

Butterwick Pre-School has been the heart of our family since my eldest daughter started in 2019. The ladies are absolutely amazing and they provide the children with so many different experiences such as strawberry picking, pantomimes, trips to the beach. My daughter loves her pre-school and it makes being a mum so much easier knowing your child is happy. The ladies have always gone above and beyond to help us wherever they can and I can honestly say, without their support, things would have been a lot harder. It will be sad to be saying goodbye to pre-school in summer with our new venture to primary school but will definitely see you around!

My daughter currently attends and my eldest daughter attended previously. We are so lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery with a brilliant school to follow through too. The ladies are welcoming, friendly and really do care for the children. They still ask about my eldest daughter, which is so lovely. The updates on social media and the app are great, we love seeing how they’re getting on and developing. The staff support the nursery-school transition well and my daughter has just learnt to write her name which we are so proud of.

My child started this nursery in January 2023 and since being in this setting, she has made lots of friends and is always looking forward to going to school. She loves her teachers who are always giving the support and help that she needs, they also support parents and give great advice. It is a very clean and tidy school which has encouraged my little one to put her toys away at home. She loves that she is always able to play outside and have messy play. They go on adventures outside of the setting and get to catch the bus.

From the moment we looked round, I knew she would be happy here. In fact, on her two ‘settling in sessions’ she didn’t want to leave. That’s when you know you have made the right choice.
In the space of a few short weeks, she has developed so much, especially her speech.
All of the ladies are lovely and welcoming and I had no concerns leaving my little girl with them. I knew she would be safe and well cared for.
The app is also brilliant so I can check in throughout the day and feel reassured that she’s having the best time.
I have recommended a friend to the nursery, this last week, who is moving to the area and she is also super impressed and is hoping to get her little girl enrolled too.

I receive regular feedback/communication and am always kept in the loop with what the boys are learning with weekly/monthly topics and their personal progressions.
The twins have made real progress with communicating, independence, social skills and physical development to name a few.

My eldest started with a speech delay and this is something that the staff hugely supported and encouraged him with. When he left for school his speech was dramatically improved. He always loved the outside play area which is fantastic, giving the children a chance to experience messy play and supervised risky play.
My youngest still attends now and he gets such a varied learning and play experience. He tries new foods from learning about new countries, meets new animals such as giant snails and met a nurse with a real ambulance when learning about important people, just to name a few! I always know he’s left in caring and safe hands but when he has been upset it’s been lovely to have photos sent home as reassurance. I wouldn’t send him anywhere else

Meet the Team (1)
I am a qualified teacher for children aged 3-7. This gives me the knowledge and experience to implement our educational curriculum in a way that supports children through their early years journey and will stay with them throughout their school transition and beyond. I am extremely passionate about our children gaining experiences in our settings far beyond the realms of a typical nursery or preschool so that our children develop a love of learning, exploring and being curious about the world around them.
Outside of work I am a mummy to two daughters aged 10 and 2 years old who keep me on my toes but also my inspiration for my career. We love the theatre, animals big and small and camping. We are big foodies so enjoy going to different restaurants together after one of our little family adventures. As I get older I am trying to travel more and experience new places and culture.
