It is the best nursery around in the town. Excellent management, professional and caring staff, outstanding facilities and outdoor space, lots of email communications, and daily updates of kids activities on the app. The staff remember all kids' names very well. Our daughter loves the nursery, and she finishes almost all the food and snacks that are provided by the nursery. Highly recommended to everyone who's looking around for a good nursery to send your kids to. This is the one where your kids will settle and grow happily.
I would recommend this nursery to friends and family.
The nursery keeps the parents up to date with what's going on at the nursery, also keep you up to date with how the children are getting on that day. They have helped my children try different foods, socialise with people and increase their vocabulary.
Our daughter attended quite a while ago, and when our son had an awful time at a local Preschool, I knew who to go to! St George’s is an amazing place for physical and social skills, he settled well and made friends quickly. The staff care about the children and treat them as extended family - nothing is a problem and can easily be sorted with a quick chat. Covid proved a challenge, and they made it an easy transition with no parents allowed in the nursery, and no closures, which show staff and parents worked together to keep the children protected. We will miss you now our son is off to big school and more than ready thanks to his key worker; you're our superstar!
Don’t have a bad word to say about this nursery. Two of my children have been there and planning on sending my third when we need to. All the staff are approachable and take great interest in the welfare of the children in their care. Love the new wellness activities they are doing, especially during lockdown! They have been so supportive and caring not just to my child, but to me as well!
Thank you, St George’s!
He’s so happy to go every day, he’s speaking more, he’s doing more, the progress and daily updates are amazing for me. They go above and beyond. Thank you so much, ladies. Definitely recommend this nursery.
My daughter started at St George’s Oadby almost a year ago. She is getting on fantastic and she loves all of the staff. She is always happy to go to nursery which is a big help. I love that they have an app too so I can see what she has been up to and how she’s eaten etc. Thank you St George’s, you are fantastic.
Our child settled in very well and really enjoys being there. All the themed days have been great fun, the emphasis on arts & crafts and the general atmosphere is very pleasant.
Have had no issues with the nursery at all, I’ve had two children attend and third to be starting in the following year. All the staff here are really good with the kids and I love hearing about my little lens day as he tells me everything. They let you know on the app what’s going on, reports, the daily activity and pictures too! If you had any concerns they will reassure you straight away and help you out.
I can therefore recommend to children of all age groups, from the baby room upwards.
I can say that my daughter has always been looked after according to her own needs, and my fears that she would not eat or sleep were groundless and I am told by her that the food she gets at nursery is wonderful which is high praise for such a fussy eater!
The staff are lovely and my daughter has loved all her carers and always speaks about her carers in glowing terms and following the COVID reopening could not wait to go back.
We also have a great app that shows photos and gives though the day updates which is so reassuring to check all is well, and lovely learning observations too.
Great nursery and I highly recommend!
Staff are good. It's a good place, but I think they could do better with the food they offer the kids. We pay a lot of money but the food the kids eat is not up to the Standard or expectation. I also don’t like the fact that kids with runny noses are left like that, this was before the covid when we could go inside and see other kids like that. As for now, I’m not sure if they do wipe the kid's noses.
Great service and friendly staff. Daughter is going to sadly miss the nursery now she is going to school. Thanks for helping her for the last 5 years.
My son started his social life from this nursery. He started his afternoon sessions from last year and gradually increased to whole day sessions. Words are not enough to explain how good this nursery was. My son was lacking his social smile until he joined this nursery and he is always happy to go there. I extremely like the short feedback of the day from his nurses, when I come to collect him. I will recommend anyone to this nursery.
My son loves coming to the nursery. As a mother, I feel completely at ease to leave my child with such caring staff. Could not ask for a better service.
My child has been attending preschool since January and it has been brilliant. It’s in a convenient area for ourselves and staff are always welcoming and helpful. It is always clean and when we go to pick our child up they are always doing fun looking activities and all of the children always look happy and content to be there. Would highly recommend.
It is a fantastic nursery with friendly staff. My 2.5 year old toddler is extremely happy here and is excited to go there twice a week
We have found the facilities, staff, play areas and the overall interactive experience for our children to be extremely positive in their development.
I find St Georges nursery Oadby to be an excellent nursery and I would recommend it to others. The settling in period and home visits are very useful. All the staff are very friendly and approachable.
My daughter has been at the nursery since May 2014. The settling in period was managed very well by her key worker and she quickly adapted to being away from home and attending the nursery. The staff and management are approachable and have dealt with issues in a satisfactory manner.
Our son is very happy here and his confidence has grown. He enjoys the range of activities and loves being able to go outside. It's clear the staff genuinely care about each child and know their individual needs.

I went to college in 2000 to study health and social care and English language at a level. During my time at college I went on a number of placements in primary schools, pre schools and nurseries. I then left college and started working at St. George’s Nursery in September 2002. I have worked with all age groups and completed my NVQ level 3 in Childcare in August 2005. I then worked my way up to the managers position in August 2009 and completed my Management NVQ level 3 in August 2014.
I enjoy managing the staff team to help them achieve their best potential in caring and nurturing the children to achieve the best start in life.
