Humberstone Day Nursery

I was referred to this nursery by a friend who is a teacher and would have done her homework in terms of the bet nurseries locally. Therefore I did not enquire at other nurseries and booked my daughter straight here. Both the owner/director and manager are friendly and approachable and explain everything clearly. The nursery is clean, tidy and full of activities for the children. My daughter's teachers are amazing and update me fully on how she is doing. The Tapestry app always has something new. I cannot fault this nursery and would definitely recommend it to others.

The atmosphere is very 'homely', and the nursery is beautifully decorated. Big outdoor spaces for all ages, very clean. I feel as though my child is safe and looked after in their capable hands. Thank you.

I have been using Humberstone Day Nursery for 6 months now and have found the staff to be very attentive, involved and hands-on. I have absolutely no concerns regarding the quality of care my child is receiving. She is happy, likes the staff, eats healthy nutritious meals and has many opportunities to learn and develop. All in all, we are both very happy with Humberstone Day Nursery.

I couldn't have asked for a better nursery for my daughter. During September I had visited a few nurseries but they all seemed to be lacking that little "something". As soon as I walked through the door I realised straight away that this was the nursery that I had been seeking for my daughter. The welcoming we received was amazing, the security arrangements they have in place is superb. My daughter has been attending two days a week since October. The nursery has become like a second family to my daughter and myself which I am truly thankful.

Fantastic nursery. It's our second time using Humberstone Day Nursery and I wish we had known about it for our first. Staff and management are brilliant from excellent childcare and child development to medication and illness policies. Both our girls settled after the first week and they even noticed my child's turn in her eye. It's improving well now because it was noticed early. I can go to work carefree because they truly have thought of everything. Very clean and recently refurbished.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for over two years. She has developed so many age-appropriate skills in so many areas. She has also made really lovely friendships and her confidence has come on so well. My son has now joined too and I am confident that the nursery will support him in all areas too. I have visited other nurseries and they do not compare. This nursery takes pride in what they do and in the environment.

When choosing a nursery for my first baby, I visited several within my area. From the moment my family and I walked into this nursery, we were overcome with a feeling of home. My daughter immediately took to staff members which was really encouraging. All staff were helpful in answering any questions. Once signed up, the managers of the nursery went above and beyond to reassure me. My daughter settled in very quickly with the exceptional baby unit staff. I have seen my daughter come on leaps and bounds since attending the nursery, we could not be happier with our choice of nursery. I would like to again express my gratitude to both the baby unit staff who are remarkable at their job and always keep me informed of my daughter's progress.

Not happy with the service from the owners of this nursery. They do not like to be informed of something negative that has happened in the nursery and do not deal with situations the correct way. I would not recommend this nursery to anyone. If you don't bring any bad things to their attention then they are happy to accept your child, if you point things out that are not suitable then you are questioned, but not in a correct manner. They are not open to discuss issues raised and would rather parents stay quiet.

My first impressions of this nursery when I came to view it, it was 'outstanding' from the warm welcome of the staff to seeing the children playing and happy. This was the best decision I made, sending my children here. They are always excited and happy to go to nursery, the staff are excellent, always on hand and make time to listen and feedback on their day. My little boy has become confident and ready to start school this year and all I can say is a big thank you to you all.

The team adopted a very child-friendly and nurturing approach to care. Our daughter has shown outstanding development since she has started at Humberstone Day Nursery. The communication from the team has been exceptional as their friendly and welcoming attitude. Excellent all-round care.

I love Humberstone Day Nursery! My son has been there since he was 10 months old and he is now 3 and my youngest son has just started at 10 months old. I love the staff and how they interact with my children and I feel completely comfortable leaving my children in their care as I know they will have a fantastic day full of fun, interacting with both staff and other children. The staff and the management are brilliant and I can go to them with any concerns or questions and they are always happy to help. My eldest son has built strong relationships with staff and other children and I know he will miss it when he starts school. I cannot thank them enough for looking after him the way they have.

I put my daughter into this nursery when she was only 8 months old as I went back and wanted her to get used to being around other children her age with her being the only child. This was the best thing I ever did, she absolutely loves coming here, always learning new things and showing me when she gets home. So lucky I managed to get her a place here when I did as if is such a popular nursery. Would definitely recommend.

My son really loves being at Humberstone Day Nursery. He is more like part of a big family than just another child. All the girls are lovely and very good with children. Everyone there seems very happy to be here which makes is such a great place.

A very friendly, nurturing nursery with a family feel. As soon as we walked in for our initial visit we knew that this was the right nursery for us. Staff go the extra mile when caring for both the children and parents to give feedback. Our child has excelled since starting at the nursery we'd highly recommend it.

We have a 2 1/2-year-old and a 9-month-old both attending Humberstone Day Nursery. Both our girls thoroughly enjoy going to nursery, they both have an excellent rapport with staff, as do we parents. Management and staff are always friendly, welcoming and happy to help and go the extra mile. It is a difficult transition to leave your children when they are so young - but Humberstone Day Nursery makes it so much easier to do knowing your child is happy, safe and really cared for makes such a difference.

Our son has been attending this nursery since November 2016. He commenced his place at the nursery aged 6 months, so initially, we were worried as to how he would settle in and how much care he will receive. Humberstone Day Nursery staff have been absolutely outstanding, our son has settled in very well. The staff have taken care of all his needs from feeding to assisting with his development. We receive a family report on how his day has been and they communicate everything in detail. They have also gone above and beyond their duty in assisting with weaning and developing his motor skills. He has fresh meals every day and management have been absolutely superb! We highly recommend this nursery - five stars from us :)

Humberstone Day Nursery is an amazing environment and my son doesn't even bother when he has to leave me. The staff are outstanding, caring and will go above and beyond to make sure your child is safe and happy. The nursery is clean, very welcoming and a home from home. I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

We love the nursery. It came recommended by friends. I am very glad I made the decision to send my children here. The staff are friendly and helpful. Learning aspects are great. Outdoor play, mud kitchen and writing skills.

We feel Humberstone Day Nursery is fantastic. All the teachers are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Since our son has been attending this nursery he has developed many social skills, become more confident and has shown a major interest in reading and singing during storytime and knows his colours and numbers. Overall very happy and would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent nursery, really friendly and polite. Very professional. Really lovely people, who take care of our precious daughter. Great place, great people and great staff. 10/10.
