Humberstone Day Nursery

I cannot recommend Humberstone Day Nursery highly enough. Finding a place where you feel 100% at home, and confident with leaving your child, my little one has flourished so much since starting in all aspects. This team has exceeded every expectation I had. The staff are truly 'out of this world', their energy, patience and genuine love for the children shine through the moment you walk through the door. They don't just 'watch' the children; they truly engage with them, creating creative and thoughtful activities that keep him engaged throughout his day. If you're looking for a nursery that feels like an extension of your family, this is it. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do!

The staff are amazing! They are so friendly and offer advice whenever needed. My child looks forward to attending every week, even asking to go back after we head home. They offer a range of activities inside as well as outside in the garden.

My daughter has already learnt so much and loves going. All staff are amazing at their job, and we are so thankful for them all.

We cannot fault anything about this nursery since our little girl started here. She has thrived since her first day and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Staff listen to us and are so enthusiastic about the care of each individual child. I am so reassured that she is having the best time and so glad we chose to send her here.

She is well cared for and fed well with nutritious meals. It's great that she gets to play outside in the wonderful garden. The staff are amazing with her, we know this because she talks about them when she gets home!

Fantastic with my daughter. Very friendly staff. Daughter loves the staff and very happy to be there. Great handovers when picking up. The app is updated daily. And I receive lots of pictures and videos of the day's activities.

We knew Humberstone Day Nursery was the perfect place for our family from the moment we were given a tour 5 years ago. We have sent all 3 of our children to HDN and we have never regretted this decision. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. We feel confident leaving our children at nursery knowing that they are cared for like family. Our youngest is in the baby room where he is stimulated with well-thought-out activities which make exploring and learning fun for him. Our middle child loves the preschool home. As a teacher, I can appreciate the effort her team go to to ensure activities are differentiated to suit her interests and abilities. It is clear from how happy our children are, how much progress they make and the whole nursery environment that the whole team go above and beyond in their roles. We would confidently recommend HDN to everyone.

My little girl settled so well in the Baby Unit. I couldn't thank the Baby Unit staff enough. As a first-time mum, it was an anxious time leaving her but I don't know what I was worried about. She loves it! I love receiving updates on the app which shows me what she has been learning about. The activities and resources are brilliant.

The staff have been excellent with helping to find the best way to get our son settled in. The staff are absolutely excellent and keep us informed daily about his activities and his behaviour. Have also helped us with our son’s development and tracking it. Very happy with the service, the care and the attention given to our son and us! It’s a perfect balance of fun and learning!

Our child's experience at the nursery has been excellent. She is clearly comfortable there and has settled in well. The staff have not only been professional but also warm and engaging, making our child's time there enriching. We appreciate their attentive nature, always considering our concerns. Both of my children attend Humberstone Day Nursery. They both started their journeys at 11 months old, now four years and 14 months, and we really do think it's wonderful. My four-year-old absolutely loves attending and enjoys his time there; he is always telling me about the exciting activities he's been doing. My 14-month-old has now settled in perfectly, and I can't wait to watch him develop and grow. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. My sons have a great relationship with all members of the team, not just with their key workers, which makes me feel happy leaving them before work, knowing they will be cared for and that they are happy. I will continue to recommend this nursery.
