Humberstone Day Nursery provides care and learning experiences for children from birth to the age of five years, in a safe and nurturing environment where children can flourish. Staff are carefully selected and are committed to providing children with a high standard of care and education. Humberstone Day Nursery has a designated, fully-qualified special educational needs coordinator who works closely with staff and parents to support any children with health and educational needs.

Children’s individual interests, abilities and learning techniques are always taken into account when planning activities to ensure they get the best out of their time at Humberstone Day Nursery. They are encouraged to play and explore, as well as develop creativity and critical thinking.

Children are encouraged to develop active and healthy lifestyles habits. The nursery provides children with nutritious, balanced meals which include fresh fruit, vegetables, oily fish and meat and poultry.

The staff are amazing! They are so friendly and offer advice whenever needed. My child looks forward to attending every week, even asking to go back after we head home. They offer a range of activities inside as well as outside in the garden.

Humberstone Day Nursery has been home from home for the last 5 years with my son and now daughter. All the staff are amazing - attentive, compassionate and overall lovely and caring. My daughter loves attending nursery to explore the new activities each week. I have always felt at ease leaving my children
within their care - always been understanding, helpful, trustworthy and reliable. I would 1000% recommend this nursery to all parents.
My daughter has already learnt so much and loves going. All staff are amazing at their job, and we are so thankful for them all.

We cannot fault anything about this nursery since our little girl started here. She has thrived since her first day and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Staff listen to us and are so enthusiastic about the care of each individual child. I am so reassured that she is having the best time
and so glad we chose to send her here.

We never have to worry about our daughter when she's at nursery. We love the regular updates and pictures sent to us too.
She is well cared for and fed well with nutritious meals. It's great that she gets to play outside in the wonderful garden. The staff are amazing with her, we know this because

Lovely nursery, my daughter settled in so well. Great communication made me feel so much better and more comfortable with going back to work.

Fantastic with my daughter. Very friendly staff. Daughter loves the staff and very happy to be there. Great handovers when picking up. The app is updated daily. And I receive lots of pictures and videos of the day's activities.

We knew Humberstone Day Nursery was the perfect place for our family from the moment we were given a tour 5 years ago. We have sent all 3 of our children to HDN and we have never regretted this decision. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. We feel confident leaving our children at nursery knowing
that they are cared for like family. Our youngest is in the baby room where he is stimulated with well-thought-out activities which make exploring and learning fun for him. Our middle child loves the preschool home. As a teacher, I can appreciate the effort her team go to to ensure activities are differentiated to suit her interests and abilities. It is clear from how happy our children are, how much progress they make and the whole nursery environment that the whole team go above and beyond in their roles. We would confidently recommend HDN to everyone.

My little girl settled so well in the Baby Unit. I couldn't thank the Baby Unit staff enough. As a first-time mum, it was an anxious time leaving her but I don't know what I was worried about. She loves it! I love receiving updates on the app which shows me what she has been learning about. The activities
and resources are brilliant.

Humberstone Day Nursery is an amazing nursery and I’m so glad we chose it for our son.
They are very thorough and if they have any issues they get in contact straight away!
I was really worried about our son starting nursery due to only being 9 months old and having extra needs but he settled in
so well and he is so happy there I had nothing to worry about! The staff are amazing with him and also us as parents.
He has come on loads since starting and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nursery to send their child.

Our son has been at the nursery for 4 years from being an 11-month-old baby and is now off to school, we were so sad to say goodbye!
I remember being so apprehensive about leaving him when I first went back to work but the team there made this transition as easy and painless as possible.
The wonderful
staff have supported him through many stages of development In a lovely nurturing environment. Through potty training, feeding himself, learning to talk, and now to reading and writing they have always been incredibly caring and encouraging.
He has always been so happy and excited about going to the nursery which speaks volumes about the atmosphere that the team have created for the children.
I would thoroughly recommend the nursery, with staff who really go the extra mile and genuinely care for the children’s best interests.
Truly some of the best nursery staff and management I have come across - continue the hard work!

Staff at this nursery are very polite, professional and friendly. They give the best care and input to each child and ours certainly enjoys going. He smiles and claps as he gets to the nursery. A very professional and friendly nursery with good clean and interesting facilities for all the children.

Both of my children attend Humberstone Day Nursery. They both started their journeys at 11 months old, now four years and 14 months, and we really do think it's wonderful. My four-year-old absolutely loves attending and enjoys his time there; he is always telling me about the exciting activities he's
been doing. My 14-month-old has now settled in perfectly, and I can't wait to watch him develop and grow. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. My sons have a great relationship with all members of the team, not just with their key workers, which makes me feel happy leaving them before work, knowing they will be cared for and that they are happy. I will continue to recommend this nursery.

Humberstone Day Nursery and all staff have been amazing from the first initial meeting. Management were very friendly and made myself and my son feel at ease straight away. Clear to see that the nursery is a happy and caring place to be, felt like a home from home. My son has thrived and come on leaps
