The Old Barn Day Nursery

The nursery is absolutely fantastic and that reflects not only in their Ofsted rating but in how my child feels about nursery. He really enjoys his days at nursery with the varied activities they do, the varied menu (he eats anything there as he loves it) and the great relationships he has built with the other children and staff alike. My second son will be starting soon and I am so excited for him. They are very on top of things and I feel confident when I go to work that my son is in good hands.

The only thing that I have found 'less positive' is that I am charged on bank holidays and there is very little flexibility to change days occasionally unless planned very far in advance. Also, the new payments changing every month is not as easy as the same each month.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her time at nursery when she attends. The nursery caters very well for my daughter's needs and offers a variety of great vegetarian food. The staff show great passion in helping my daughter develop and learn. My daughter enjoys French lessons on Wednesday and learns a lot of different things each week. The managers are always at hand when needed either over the phone and email. Overall, great management, staff and activities offered.

I wish I had always sent my son here, we transferred to the old barn from a different nursery and I couldn't be happier. My son is so happy here does lots of activities and loves all the staff. The staff are so friendly and helpful to parents and work with them to get the best results for the child. Can't recommend this place enough.

My little boy loves coming to The Old Barn and is always welcomed by all the staff. The monitor his learning and is doing well, all in a safe learning environment. A brilliant nursery and a well deserved outstanding rating.

The carers are lovely and attentive and my child speaks highly of the staff. The activities they do are varied and my little girl loves to do different things.

The Old Barn Day Nursery in Narborough is fantastic. I wish we sent our son sooner. He looks forward to it so much and I have peace of mind when I know he’s in there. It’s safe and just an all round lovely place to send him. Thank you to every single one of the lovely ladies there, that no matter what, will ask the million and one questions that a first time parent has!

The staff and management are lovely. My daughter loves going to The Old Barn and it’s like a second family to her. She learns new things every day and is well looked after. I wish I had found the nursery sooner. To all the staff and management. You are a credit to the nursery.

The Old Barn Nursery in Narborough has been a place where the staff have created a safe, educational and loving environment for my daughter. Thank you for all you have done.

Both my daughters attend The Old Barn and they really have flourished. My eldest is in the preschool class. The activities are engaging and challenging covering a broad range of topics, my daughter really enjoys her time here. My youngest in the baby room loves all the staff and is always happy playing and exploring. Overall, I think The Old Barn is an excellent nursery and one I would recommend to anyone.

My daughter who is nearly four has attended the setting since she was 12 months old. She has special educational needs and the nursery have been fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. I will be sad come August when she leaves to start school.

Also, the management team are friendly and approachable, I've never hesitated to contact them with any concerns.

My son started here when he was seven months old, he absolutely loves it and learns so much. The tapestry record they update is lovely, as I can see what he’s been doing. The nursery is well run and parents are kept in the loop with everything. His key worker is really lovely and my son adores her.

Both my sons have attended. It is good preparation for school. I find the staff friendly and approachable.

We moved away from Narborough 18 months ago and looked at other options closer to home but we didn't feel comfortable with any of them so kept our son at The Old Barn. He has always been happy to attend and the staff are very attentive and caring.

I have recommended this nursery to numerous friends and will continue to do so.

I have all 3 of my children at The Old Barn, with my eldest due to leave to start Primary school this year.

We have always been pleased with the environment and feel of the nursery. There have been inevitable staff changes over time, but this has never impacted on the service and care received.

The activities and resources implemented have shown real variance and the children enjoy. The online journal is a great way of monitoring your child’s progress, as well as regular parents evenings. The staff are brilliant and engaging with the children, of which we have enjoyed seeing them develop since attending The Old Barn

My daughter started on 1/9/15 - great start. Love the feedback at the end of the day. My daughter's talking is coming on leaps and bounds. Extremely happy.

Overall I'm very pleased with The Old Barn Day Nursery. My son has learnt new words and is responding to questions, overall he is progressing really well with his learning and that is down to the staff working along side of him. I find communication can be poor at times with certain members of staff, this can cause confusion and can sometimes affect my sons learning progressions. My son gets very excited to go to nursery and gets on very well with staff and I'm really pleased with choosing The Old Barn Day Nursery for my son.
